Went here with 20 bags of cans and plastic bottles to recycle. The surroundings: This is in an open parking lot next to a grocery store foods co I think There were at least 5 other cars unloading their own bags in the empty bins. There were a ton of empty bins available for everyone. The area is not the safest area, I wouldn't come wearing any expensive jewelry or anything (but who does when they recycle anyway? haha) The staff: the people who work here are nice and they go to work. They are professional, They Keep an eye on who's there and make sure all your recyclables stay together. We come here to recycle a couple times a year and have been coming for the past few years. Haven't had any problems so far. Would recommend! Make sure to check their hours of operation before heading over! read more

They open Sundays. They moved to the back of the lot past the donation bins. Great customer service. As soon as I got there a nice young msn approached us to help with sorting which is very helpful. I had a few cans of plastic and one small load of cans not even half way. Some of my water bottles were crushed. I got $57 and some change plus I left $5 tip. I'm not sure how these prices but I trust that they are being fair and honest. At the end of the day I cleared up some room at home and got some $$ something is better than nothing right .., lol read more

The staff are always so helpful and friendly. I had no idea all plastics were accepted here, they take everything besides liquor bottles, when I say everything, I mean everything! Guess I been throwing money away into the city recycling, yup detergent bottles, dish soap bottles, food oil bottles, you got it, they take it! I was puzzled when Yelp asked me to review Ocean's Recycling here on Mack Road and Franklin. You see, this has been my "go to" place for the last few years. I knew I had already done one and couldn't understand how my review got "moved" to another location!! Oh well!! I still give them 5 stars. As far as recycling goes. It's the same everywhere. You park your vehicle. You grab the trash cans they provide for your recycling. You separate the water bottles, aluminum cans, glass bottles ( glass tea, soda, beer bottles...NO wine bottles ). Also separate your miscellaneous plastics. For example, your milk jugs from your colored laundry containers. It's not worth as much. However, getting it out of the landfill is best for the environment and a little change is a BONUS!!! Once you're finished, you may then move the containers and get in line. From here, these guys can move pretty quickly. ( The only times it slows down is when people don't understand how to separate their recycling. ) They also have a loyalty card. Just ask for one. Overall, this is a small place in a shared parking lot to a grocery store. Easy to spot. Ample parking. Very efficient. Great people who work here. I will continue to come here for my recycling. read more

The staff here deserves 5 stars! They personally come greet you at the car and hand you your trash cans, and help bring them over to the scale when you are done. Of course, when they aren't busy. I came here right at 9 and there were cars already waiting. There was three men today helping out, and the process was so easy. I brought some nonrecycle items that they gladly got rid of for me. I apologized as I didn't know it was not acceptable. He said don't worry about it. I should have grabbed his name, but he was so friendly. Guided me through all the weigh ins, offered me sanitizer and a stamp card after he was done. If I come back 10 times, the weigh in price will increase. Such a good incentive to recycle. Today I got $21.37 and I tipped them because they are such hard workers. Don't forget to help save the world and environment. read more

I had an excellent visit today! The workers were all hard working and polite! The gentleman even pulled my garbage bins over to be weighed since they were too heavy for me! I'm surprised too say this but today I had horrible customer service and too top it off the manager didn't care and said they dont have too have good customer service because it's a recycling center. Yes you do it's still a business and if the business makes a mistake you dont take that out on the customer I wont be going back the manager was just as bad member experienced that. read more

So this was my first time coming to this recycling center and well I can say that there are way different from the ones I used to go to they are nice and friendly and I was kinda surprise how fast they were and they also tell you how much your recycles weigh to so I thought was pretty cool so I think I would make this my one stop recycling center unless otherwise lol read more

There's a reason why Oceans recycling rush weighing your recycles even when it's not busy, CHEATING you for your money. Who the hell wants to be scammed/cheat, especially rounding up recyclables to make ends meet? I know that my recyclables weigh more because I wrote down each of my recyclables when the worker weigh it! After the cashiered payed me, I calculated the weight that I wrote down. The numbers did not match up to be what the cashier calculated to be, especially when he's rushing the weight of each bin through the scale without adding the weight to his calculator! After 5 bins going through the scale, he would step up to his calculator and pretend to start typing numbers in. I know his memories are not that great, if it was, my numbers that I wrote down for each bin weight would match up. Then he would go 6 bins without inputting the weight down and pretend to calculate again knowing what he weight and the number of the weight. This was repeated multiple of times because I had brought in a lot of recyclables. The actual pay that I was suppose to get was $85.54, but received $57.83! Now that's almost a thirty dollar difference. I will never ever go there again! If you do, you better keep track! Be quick with it too, because even before the number dials inon the weighing, they are quick to remove it for the next bin. On top of that, they don't even weigh it correctly with the whole bin on the scale, only half is on the scale and the other half hanging off the scale! Go see for yourself, if you don't believe me!
