I could never give 5 stars to an experience where you stand in line to recycle cans in a loud chaotic environment, only to get dirty nasty up to your elbows. But for what it is, this is a very efficient recycling center in a town without a lot of great options. For some time now, we've had our son collect cans and bottles which I agree to cash in for his piggy bank money. It's a laborious process. First you need to separate the cans, bottles and plastics, then separate them again based on things like size and CRV. Then you take them down, transfer them to a series of grody trash cans and let the staff weight them out. don't expect to leave here and go straight to lunch. Let's just say the complimentary hand sanitizer on the counter, while thoughtful, doesn't begin to do the trick. The staff is super nice, efficient and great at what they do. I even introduced the guy to some new types of beer based on my drinking habits. All in all an experience made best by the people who run it. read more

Plenty of parking to pull in and fill the buckets with CRV. They were low on bins, and only one person was working. So the turn around time to get an empty bin was longer than I've ever experienced at other recycling centers. BUT DOUBLE CHECK YOUR PAYMENT. I brought aluminum cans and plastic bottles. My slip clearly said #1 for plastics, but yet the lady at the desk put "scrap plastic" which was only 0.05/lb vs 1.46/lb I was supposed to receive. I'm semi new to recycling but I knew something was wrong when I only received $8 payment. When I took it back and told her, she had to look for my original paper that she had ripped to double check. Workers there are straight up assholes, especially the dude with long hair. I got there 20 minutes before they close and they said that they stop taking people at 2:30. Maybe have a service sign out front so people are aware of it next time read more

Parking plenty. Fill your own bins and bring it up to the scale. It takes a while to get paid. Pretty basic. -although I feel like the other place might have paid more... they took off about 8 lbs per bin. read more

This is my favorite place to bring in cans, bottles, and metal recyclables. The people here are friendly, helpful, and most importantly, *honest.* I started coming here a few years ago when I suspected the place I had been going to was undervaluing what I was bringing in. The first time I came here I brought in a typical load for me of cans and bottles and was blown away at how much more I received, which only served to confirm what I suspected about the other place. It can get busy and congested here, but they can get you in and out pretty quickly, and the quality of service never wavers. Once when an employee made a pretty egregious error I talked to the manager who recognized where the problem was and made things right on the spot. I love that they are now open until 6 pm on weekdays plus are open on Saturday and Sunday. I will keep coming here until I have a reason not to. read more

For a recycling center it's is pretty good.. My first time I had a bunch of plastic and a few cans and bottles. They were good about counting the cans and bottles and paying full CRV. Everytime sense they try to get away with not doing the same. Otherwise they are good for what they are. read more

Clean place. Worker actually care about counter being wiped down and items picked up in the yard. Parking area is small but I received assistance backing up and departing the center. Every month I drive past 4-5 recycling centers just to get to this one for their kind service. read more

This is typically my go-to spot for recycling. The prices are fair and the guys are helpful. I just wish they had a wash station for once we are done sorting as I feel FILTHY afterwards (but this goes for ALL recycling places I know of). I like how they tare all their things so they give you the exact weight for things. At some other places, if you give them 15.6 pounds of cans they'll only pay you for 15 (EVERYTHING is rounded down, you lose alot if you have multiple buckets of CRV). This place is not like that, they pay you to the 10th decimal place and I've never seen them cheat me for CRV. Scrap metal is another story. They've cheated me multiple times with scrap metal. A few times I would bring a truck load of scrap metal and in the pile would be a stainless steel sink (which i make very visible by putting it on the top. They'd weight it and pay me for regular price of like 5 cents/ pound, even though stainless steel is worth like 5 times more per pound. When they pay me and I confront them about the sink them they'd add 2 dollars more... Nice try. Another time i had a box of copper wires with the plastic coating stripped. I had time on my hands and i stripped about 100 ft or so of copper wires (about 30 mins). I would get about 5 ft worth of copper and fold it together and tie it(with the copper wire). I had about 20 of these in a little box. The man working there takes it all out of the box and drops about 5 of them and puts them on the scale. He weights it and only pays me for all that made it to the scale. Great place for CRV as they dont cheat you and have pretty good rates. For all other scrap metals, I found another place that pays a bit more and hopefully are more honest. 3 stars for not cheating on the CRV. read more
