Overall it's a good local fishing spot that my son and I enjoy fishing ....but it needs some care and attention. Several planks, benches and railings need to be replaced and all benches, tables and rails need to be pressure washed. I know it's a fishing pier, but....dam it's boarder line nasty. But the staff are friendly and willing to help. So if you can over look sone of the cleanliness issues it's a great place to go. read more

I enjoy this spot. It's 24 hrs and you can drink and fish on the pier there is a nice restaurant there as well. You can buy beer where you pay for your fishing band. Bring a wagon and a nice seat. It can get pretty busy. read more

Ran by liars and gaslighters. Their pier refuses to keep consistent hours. My girlfriend purchased a pass at 8PM, only to be told they were closing early AFTER we had paid. When confronted, they called us a liar and continued to gaslight us that they were open until 11PM the next day. They blocked both of us after calling them out. Service on the patio was atrocious! We sat there nearly an hour and did not get any service. Yes, it was busy but other tables were being waited on. I asked several times for a waiter and was told someone would be coming. Never did. We had to go to another restaurant in the area for dinner. Totally unacceptable. I come here occasionally, because this is one of my friend's favorite places to drink and chill. He is the king of dives. We had grand expectations of enjoying the weather and view on Sunday and well the weather said, that's definitely NOT happening. Instead of relaxing atop the upper deck with a nice view of the ocean we switched to the inside where it was bustling with people taking shelter from the rain from either fishing and those who also had been atop the deck. It's really clean on the inside and is decorated with eclectic randomness of beach signs to nautical decor. The bar was filled with chatter from various groups, no music was played. They have the hanging ring and hook game. Our group which turned out to be a group of 10 became obsessed with this very simpleton game. Focus was strong and intense. They have Tecate drink specials for $2.50 if your quest is for cheap beer. I had a pina colada which was really good and turned out to only be $4.50! Their wings were lip smacking and saucy and one of the people in our group ordered calamari which happened to be mixed in with onion rings. At first we were joking that they threw in onion rings to make it look like calamari to make their supply last. We ended up looking at the menu to see if it was advertised with onion rings. It stated with "fried onions." So there you go! All in all it's a decent place to relax and have some drinks and reasonably priced eats. Parking - oh it's a bit on the small and tight side which can be good in other situations, but definitely NOT when it comes to parking. Ocean VIew has come a long way and is starting to revamp itself. But those dive bars if you love them still exist over here. read more

The lady or the owner in the pier is really mean. Talking to you in a very inappropriate way. Don't go to this place.

Our server Holly was the best! On top of the awesome seafood that was served, there was also an awesome bar with great local craft brews on tap. My buddy and I could not have had a better lunch in Norfolk! Thank you again, Holly!!!! read more

The two stars are for the manager or lack there of. She is very rude and seem to have attitude with everyone I also watched her degrade several workers right in front of customers and employees with out a care to who was watching. Other than that the waitress and waiter were all pretty good and the food taste good. Pier is fun to go catch fish and hang out with like minded people. read more

If I could give one star I would. We have been many time to this pier. We have been told if you want to go past the restaurant you have to pay. If you stay on front of the pier you do not have to pay. We were not crabbing or fishing. We were accosted by a nasty security officer who demanded that we pay $10.00 per person. I explained we were visiting the pier and not fishing. The security officer became extremely hostile and we asked to speak to a manager. We were the only people asked if we had paid and no one else had been asked and were not wearing wrist bands. In my opinion, the security officer and manager were profiling. STAY AWAY! I came in June 18, 2019. With a group of 6 other people. Our waitress seemed like she didn't want to be there & only checked on us twice. I ordered the Mac and Cheese with fried chicken and it was very bland, the chicken was dry and we waited over 45 minutes for our food. After that we still had to pay for the 18% gratuity fee which resulted in almost 30.00 that this girl didn't not deserve at all. After we paid we had to wait another 20 minutes to get back our change. The food was super overpriced and our meals really weren't worth what we payed. read more

This is a great pier with regards to its length and position but there are a few down sides...the parking is free, yet full a lot of the time so you have to park somewhere else. Admission is a few dollars too expensive at 10 bucks. You can drink here which is awesome and not always the case at other piers. Their bait and tackle shop is great for a pier and they have bathrooms and a cleaning station. This place is a guaranteed croaker and spot catch location on any day and if you have a long rod you can cast out and get Covina, sharks, rays, stiped bass, etc. read more

The one thing I did enjoy is it wasn't super crowded and the view is amazing. The food is absurdly overpriced for the amount of food that you get and the quality. It's good but not that good. I ordered an oyster po boy and it was served with 5 tiny oysters so it was mostly bread with each bite. One of the guests in my party ordered hush puppies and fried shrimp and he waited over an hour to receive it. Multiple people ordered after him and received their food first. Our waitress was ok but the service could've been better. When our party asked for our checks, there were about 10 of us, the waitress disappeared for quite some time and when she got back instead of individually handing us our checks she sat them in a stack on the table and let us fumble through them and pass them out ourselves. The drinks were decent. It's definitely not somewhere I'll be returning to. Don't waste your time. Or if you do prepare to be let down. read more

My husband and I stopped here one afternoon, thinking that a restaurant on the pier might be a good place for lunch and a margarita. We were so wrong. It was awful. The she-crab soup tasted like they'd opened a can of cream of mushroom soup and mixed a few slivers of crab with it. My fish sandwich was obviously frozen and overcooked to inedible status. And we should have known better than to order food after the drink experience. My husband ordered beer, so that was no problem. But the first sip of margarita tasted like Mr Clean floor cleaner. I looked for the waitress to no avail (and it wasn't even busy) so I brought my drink to the bar and told the lady there it tasted bad and I wanted something else. "What's wrong with it?" she demanded to know. "Taste it," I told her. "It's borderline toxic." "Well, I'm the manager and I made that myself," she said. My first urge was to tell her she needed to go to bartending school, but I resisted and asked for a Tanqueray and tonic, instead. She huffed and turned away and yelled for the waitress. I went back to my booth, listening as she berated me to the waitress while making my Tanqueray and tonic. The waitress brought the new drink to our table, rather apologetically and one sip told me that it wasn't Tanqueray at all, but well gin. SMDH. I predict this pier restaurant will remain a dive. read more
