His team did leave floor finish stains on the baseboards and my kitchen quartz counter walls, so heads up, don't forget to ask them to use painters tape if you're getting your hardwood floors sanded and refinished. (Initial review) Initially when Alex first gets your business, they seem responsive and even tells me about how shoddy of a job the previous flooring people did in my home (fixed by previous owners). But the moment any small issues come up, Alex just ghosts his customers. In the video you can see the cracks happening under normal body weight. I really wanted to believe that at the very least he and his team will try to provide any rectification, even if it's just to come out again to check on the floor to see what else can be done, like I wouldn't even have mind paying an additional small fee for materials. Instead, since he has been fully paid, he won't even see the project to the end to make sure he delivers on quality work. I understand that things come up and he could be busy but the non-responsiveness for two weeks is clear.

We got vinyl flooring from Lions Flooring. It is tricky getting the color right when you look at it in different lighting so always triple check. Paid about $8k to do upper and lower level flooring in a condo that's about 1500 sq ft, but now…read moreonly 4 months some of the panels (waterproof / scratch proof manmade one's that looks like wood) have bumps rising upstairs, the stairs had to be fixed at least three times, and separation between two panels on the first floor. Props for sending the right person to fix it, he seems to have more experience than the people who installed it. After talking to some other contractors, this kind of flooring is susceptible to expanding when the weather gets hot and there's no way around it. Luckily, the one who came to fix it got lucky and hammered the bump down with a rubber hammer & it worked. He glued the separation on the first floor and hopefully will hold for a long time. I don't know how it normally works for contractors, but I would prefer some sort of guarantee in writing at the time of the sale to lean back on in case something like this happens so that I have peace of mind. I just went off a friend's referral and didn't even get a 2nd quote so in retrospect that's my bad. Hopefully I didn't just get lucky that they came back to fix it and that they do this for all their customers
