The building itself is in need of upgrading but it is not that bad as it is a recent enough build. Accessible for wheelchair users. The Medical Center is occupied by 2 GP practices. mine is Dr Tolley's one. The GPs in this practice tend to stay a long time (2+ years or so). I feel really taken care of and listened to. The doctors I have consulted really take time to hear me out and find out what is wrong. They also have medical assistants and practice nurses, whom are efficient and very friendly (bar 1 or 2 occasions). As I have a chronic condition I require repeat prescriptions. Which they let me order by email. Opening times are until 6pm which makes it good for when you finish work and still need to visit them - saves taking time of work! Good job Dr Tolley!

The reception, doctors and nurses have always been great and I've never had too much trouble getting an appointment. You can request to see the same doctor but I'm usually happy to see whichever doctor is available as I've only been in for fairly minor issues. All the doctors have been friendly and have been good about listening to what I've had to say. The nurses are always relaxed and kind and good at making sure I'm comfortable. No complaints at all.

The girl at reception was lovely and friendly and very accomodating when I was booking an appointment, and the facilities were clean and well set-up. The stand out though, was Isla, my masseuse. She took time to go through my form (I'm used to that never being looked at when I've had other massages!) and ask me a few additional questions about my back pain, causes, etc. She was incredibly aware of the back/body/muscles on me as an individual and tailored the massage for my own aches and pains rather than just running through a routine. She practices a number of different types of massage and clearly enjoys what she does, resulting in what sounds like quite a few regulars who she enjoys working with because she enjoys freeing people from their pain and generally making them feel better. I absolutely didn't want my session to end. Deep Tissue is not generally known as being relaxing but she managed to get deep into my muscles without causing pain and making it a wonderful and relaxing experience. She finished by showing me a few stretches which would help to open up my muscles and help to alleviate desk-job related aches and pains. I was so impressed. I've been to a few masseuses and I've never before been so impresed with someone's skill. I definitely plan to return (though, when they're having a sale... it's a bit on the pricey side!).

I found the servers helpful and the back of house team clearly very good with the butchery skills. As much as I would like to have private health care I was here only due the NHS buying up excess capacity. Lovely room with a table for one looking out of well manicured gardens. Rabbits abounded and I saw some birds mating. For my lunch course I had soup with a panini. Being Scottish when selecting my menu choices I ticked all the boxes in the hope they would provide me with more than one meal. Unfortunately I was informed that one could only have either a panini OR the poached salmon course. Sadly I went with the panini but after consumption I would not recommend it. The taste was chemical and washed out but I am not sure if there might have been a correlation with just waking up from a medically induced coma. Overall 4 stars. TOP TIP - take your own slippers with you and a robe. Although I was provided with a flattering gown - (on the house I may add!) the robe and slippers they gave me would have been more suited to a diminutive woman. I think I flashed quite a lot of leg and heel.

We have had various scans during this pregnancy from other places and this was just a joke in comparison. I should of realised as I drove up to a rundown shed on a disused part of the airport grounds just what was going to be on offer. First the place was so cold both me and my wife had to sit with our jackets on while filling out forms, the girl on recption having no idea what we had booked or been promised by the manager and had to make numiours calls to check if we were aloud this or that and then started to try and add on more money for every little thing! My wife was taken in a room also so cold she shook during the whole scan, which could of not been more rushed (but realised when we came out after 15 mins why as 3 other couples waiting to get rushed through) During the scan they could not answer any of our questions about the baby and kept prodding the baby trying to get it to move into a better position. The teddy bear heart beat was taken with one if the £9.99 monitors you can buy from boots and was such poor quality you could not even make it out. The bears on offer also was very cheap and poor quality. On leaving the scan my wife was very upset by the way she had been treated, more calls were then made to the manager/owner to try and squeeze us in to another appointment who then hit angry and was trying to tell me he was doing us a favor booking us in for a extra scan and no other company dose this which is a complete lie. At this point we had enough and just left losing our deposit and canceling any further scans. Please do not use this company as I said we have had various other scans done from very professional companies who do care about your well being and not just mass profit.

We took our daughter and her partner here for a 3D scan and it was the most wonderful experience…read moreever, we did not know what to expect we had looked at the photos on the website but the reality of it was far better. We opted for the gold package and it was worth every penny, the images were sharp and so clear we got to see our granddaughter at 28 weeks, it was something we will never forget. We came away delighted with 2 DVD's which are made like into a movie type thing with captions and images to keep forever, a CD to enable you to get your own prints done if you want more, a beautiful silver frame for the photo and 5 printed off images which were so clear it was lovely. The staff made us feel very welcome and explained everything to us, we as the grandparents were seated at the back of the couch where my daughter and her partner were allowing her some privacy and us to be comfortable in the lovely sofas, coffees and teas were offered and we felt very happy not just valued as customers but actually it was like more of a welcome from friends. We are considering doing it again in a few weeks as we loved it so much. The sonographer was lovely and so friendly making sure my daughter was comfortable and pointing out all the features of our granddaughters face, eyes nose mouth, her eyelashes etc just amazing. She was sucking her fingers, and winking her eye! I cant recommend Babes in the Womb highly enough you must go and take your friends and family, its a once in a life time experience. When you phone back at 8.30am all you get is an engaged tone. When you finally manage to get through you are told there are no more appointments left that day. So you ask how do I make an appointment to see a doctor - phone back at 8.30am tomorrow. It's Groundhog Day. It is apparently possible to make an appointment for two weeks away, by which time you are probable better or dead. I've no idea how good the doctors are as I can't see one to form an opinion.

The interior was cozy enough, but definitely needed an overhaul in regards to equipment and a sterile impression. I'm happy to say that the offices now have moved to a new location opposite the road into a very modern building, specifically designed and built for the purpose of being a practical environment to serve it's client base. ALL equipment and interior is new. What I like about the place is the space. The waiting room is massive, airy and bright , compared to others I saw and the receptionists are very friendly, in person and on the phone. You also have the self service check in option. The toilets and facilities appear to very clean. In the beginning you needed to make an appointment in advance and most likely you had to call early in the morning, so that they could allocate a free spot to you. Nowadays, they introduced a walk in option in the morning, which runs from 8-10 am. You should arrive before 10 and check in. A doctor will be allocated to you. I believe that there are about 5 main partners/ doctors and a few nurses who help and take appointments for minor inconveniences. A community psychiatric nurse is also available, as well as Family Planning, community midwife and Phlebotomists. Consultation is by Appointment: 7.30-8.30 Wed &Fri. 8.30-11.00 and 2.30-5.30. House calls are possible, but shall be avoided. They take on new patients, who live within their postcode area. Appointments are about 10min long. The location is near to Haymarket!

Lippstreu is physiotherapy centre in the heart of Edinburgh. It offers therapy for common…read morecomplaints relating to posture problems, pregnancy, spinal strains, as well as sports injuries, repetitive strain injuries, arthritis etc. Like an increasing number of physios, Lippstreu offers "alternative" therapies like acupuncture. I have only been for one massage here but it was fine. I would have gone back if I hadn't happened to have found one that suited me needs a lot more (see my FASIC review). It was a fairly standard affair. All I can say is that it was relaxing and acted as pain relief, although I didn't feel it was as satisfying long term form my problem as other physios I've had in Edinburgh. An 45 minute physio appointment costs £40 (slightly above average), an hour massage costs around £40 (unfortunately that's about average). I get he impression that Lippstreu is quiet a new centre, and is possibly still establishing itself. We will need to wait and see if it becomes successful. So far, no complaints, but it doesn't stand out as the best.

I'm an avid cyclist and the prospect of an extended period off the bike was daunting. I chose it purely on the basis that it was close to my place of work but would now recommend it on the basis of service received. The problem with my knee was diagnosed quickly and without fuss and then a very effective treatment was proposed and carried out. After two visits my knee has seen a fantastic recovery. I don't normally write reviews, in fact this is my first, but I'm so pleased I felt compelled.
