I want to take a moment to thank the incredible staff at Rush Hospital in Meridian, Mississippi. Over the past week my father was hospitalized, and it was one of the most difficult experiences our family has ever faced. From the emergency room through the ICU and onto the 6th floor, the care and compassion shown by the doctors, nurses, and staff was truly outstanding. I especially want to recognize Dr. Khan, NP Marie, RN Erin, RN Kaity, and RT Jeff, who were part of the ICU team caring for my father. Their professionalism, quick response, and dedication during a very serious situation made all the difference. They treated my father with dignity and showed genuine compassion not only for him, but for our entire family. I would also like to thank Coy and Allie on the 6th floor, along with everyone else who helped care for him during his stay. There were moments when my father's condition was extremely serious, and the teamwork, skill, and calm leadership of the staff at Rush Hospital played a major role in helping save his life. Our family is truly grateful for the care he received. A special thank you also goes out to Dr. Amanda E. Daho-Habeeb (Dr. D), who stepped in and personally made sure my father received the care he needed and helped guide him toward a strong recovery. And on a lighter note, I also have to say the hospital cafeteria was one of the best I've experienced in a hospital setting -- the Philly cheesesteak sandwich was excellent. I went the hospital to see my daughter who was in ER. The nurse Ms. Lisa explained my daughter is well and her duty as a nurse what to tell, what to not tell. I never met a nurse like her before so understanding, kind with love. Therefore I came back home with very gratefulness. Then police office Mr. Chad also explained nicely how to do in that situation. I felt like my daughter is in very good hand. Todays experience in the hospital was very thankful. Thank you again to care patient with warm heart that I felt. read more

My daughter was here for a minor outpatient procedure. I'm not sure we could have asked for nicer nurses and doctors. Everyone was very helpful, attentive, and professional. The only problem I had here was with the Wi-Fi. Cell service wasn't very good and I needed to do a few things online however between the slow speeds and the amount of sites they block you from...well it's impossible to do any work. read more

A friend had an appointment today. They were going to be a little late because they had a problem with a tire. They called and were told to come on. It was almost an hour drive there and when they got there three minutes late they made them reschedule. A Crappy thing to do to someone, especially when times are so hard. I had to lend the person the money for gas to get there. read more

Nasty rooms, badly trained nurses and uncaring, badly trained drs. A hospital shouldn't be a place to fear, it should be about healing and feeling safe and cared for , even if there's no cure . I didn't know that so many stupid people could fit in one miserable building read more

I was an inpatient for 5 days, the longest 5 days of my life. These people are unprofessional, I was misdiagnosed by a group of residents. I was told that I would be discharged that day but no discharge order was sent, bad communication. Rude employees, I would not recommend. read more

Our MAJOR Vent ... Saturday Jackye had & seizure & was unresponsive. Several police & ambulance came to the house. She was taken (to Meridian, I thought). I first looked for my wife at Rush, I was told "we don't t have her." I then went to Anderson's to be told the same. So I went back to Rush & a receptionist told me she was transferred to Hattiesburg! I had no idea what was going on & rushed to Hattiesburg to find my wife in ICU on a ventilator & tubes everywhere. (BYW, she'd just had gallbladder surgery the wk before). No one ever let me know where my wife was taken & she was definitely unable to have them call me. I'm mad as HELL & she has no memory of anything I thought the joint venture of Rush & Ochner's would be better but guess not. Have been on the phone with RUSH all morning to find out she was AIRLIFTED & I was NEVER notified. Mad as Hell does not begin to explain our feelings!!! Please reconsider your healthcare in the Meridian Area. Anderson's was very helpful. Side note: Sheriffs depts only answer was call metro ambulance who was also rude and un helpful. Ever dept blamed the other ?!?!?!? Major breakdown in every way. Family & friends, sorry for not notifying you...between loosing my best friend last week then this, we have had other priorities. read more

This ridiculous system they have is beyond absurd. You go into the ER to get seen. You wait forever. Finally go into the screening room where you are met with a nurse is beyond less than enthusiastic to be helping you. Go into an exam room and wait for an hour. Explain the medical history for them to tell you they suck at treating non-emergencies and they are recommending you go to a different clinic smh. So now I have to sit and wait to get seen here. If you're hospital sucks so bad at treating people, why are you even open? The logic behind this method is stupid and a waste of time for the patient. read more

Wow, you know what would make a really great hospital? Medical professionals and medical nurses or even operators that ACTUALLY care and are nice to people. I understand y'all think y'all must know literally everything, but when someone comes in not knowing how to explain something or how they feel... please HAVE SOME DAMN PATIENCE!!! The people that work here are so incredibly rude, I felt like I was being judged just for telling them what I need done. I know why people hesitate to come in this hospital now and voice what is wrong with them. Because the people that work here will tell them their lying, they will use a sarcastic voice with them or they will judge them and others can CLEARLY see you going back behind your little closed window to talk crap about that patient. Y'all disgust me, this hospital needs to fire all the rude people and get nicer people that actually care for others and their health. If I'm dying, I'll take my ass to Alabama, screw Mississippi hospitals, especially this one. read more

husband had a terrible earache hit him after work one night. We went to hospital and i was really worried b/c i know an ear ache is not necessarily an emergency per se. I was very surprised that we got in quickly and the physician ordered a shot and oral antibiotics. It took longer to get discharged than it did to get there and see doctor ! He ended up having to go to Immediate care a week and a half later. We had great care there as well ! The doctor's and staff at both locations were top notch :) read more
