Between two jobs and staying active it came to the point where I couldn't ball my left fist and had constant discomfort in my lower back, hips, shoulders and the balls of my feet. After being treated with muscle relaxants and almost completely stopping my caffeine intake (except for small amounts of chocolate and diet ice tea) the symptoms became about 20% better after only the first treatment. Dr. Abayev uses Xylocaine (Lidocaine) injections to relax the muscles and release the pinched nerves. One shot per week for 5-7 weeks. So far after 4 weeks my neck feels great. Cannot wait to get started on the other pain sites. FYI, Google office hours are wrong. He's open Thurs and Sun 1-3 pm only. No appointment needed. Tip: Arrive at 12:40 to get the first or second spot on the list. You're see in order of arrival. Generally each patient is seen for about 10 minutes so wait time won't be long anyway.

I stuffer with that - you don't get 40 minutes delayed by drizzling rain. She apologized for the inconvenience. I told Amanda that I took a day off to see the doctor, and although I'm frustrated, to call me when he gets in and we can find a time today that I can still come in - since I took a day off specifically for this. At 1:25PM, over 3 hours later I get a call that the doctor got called out on an emergency and wouldn't be in today at all. And that she can reschedule at my convenience. My convenience? At my convenience I would have seen him TODAY, as scheduled. I struggle to believe that both stories I received in the same day were both true. Really disappointed - can't believe I burned a day off for this. As a side note: this office seems to focus on "no fault" insurance.

I went into the exam room, spoke to a PA and waited a few minutes. The door is wide open, I see this doctor walk past my room. He chose to go to the first person's room first. I heard him tell someone he'll go see the guy in another room and for the PA to see me. As I continue to wait, I overheard hear him discussing in the hallway with a colleague, going over candidates they were going to hire because "he really doesn't want to be working at the Kew gardens office" He tells his co-worker that it's "better to hire good looking people because patients will think they're in good hands if they look good. But if they're disheveled then they wouldn't trust them as much." I find this kind of conversation, loud enough for patients to hear, very unprofessional. A second PA visited me asking me the same questions and seemed very apathetic to be there. Told me the doctor will be in shortly. I waited another 10 minutes. Already over an hour since my appointment time. I still had not seen the doctor and there was no movement or attempt to try. I go to the PA and tell her unless the doctor has something significant to tell me I'm leaving. so I left and I don't think I'll come back here again. It's very disappointing. And I paid the copay before seeing the doctor which really shouldn't be that way but BUSINESS means more than patients for this practice.​
