First time I'm hearing of these vouchers to the museum. I noticed the "free entry to the Autry Museum" is off the IG posts. Thank you. Community is important, but the topic is a deflection. What I know is I paid entry fees for a family of 5 to walk by the Autry, sit on grass, and eat from food trucks. The inflatables are pricey. As a Mom, I love love love taking my kids to events that are "fun" but also educational. Otherwise, I'm unsure why I'm paying for the privilege of sitting on grass, buying from food trucks, and paying for inflatables. Is it the...music/entertainment? Which isn't something my kids pay attention to. Maybe this is better for a date night or friend group. I'm unsure why you took offense to the 626 Night Market. Money hungry or not, I still got more bang for my buck. My kid became a human claw machine and got a cute stuffy for $10 - a little more than one descent down the Autry inflatable slide ($8). And there were so many food options. Maybe more kid friendly truck options or booths would help. The Autry's closure signifies a major change in your core market. read more

This is just an update... On my review I mentioned that Odd Nights was CASH ONLY and this small fact was never mentioned on there website or social media. You also had to use there ATM that included a service fee to withdraw cash. Also, the lighting was not good when it got dark at the bounce houses. We visited Odd Nights again, not thinking anything would be different. I think they read my review! Now they are CASHLESS! With large signage as you enter, and they also advertise that on there social media and website. They also have lighting solutions for the bounce's houses too! Yelp reviews do make a difference! I have been trying to participate in this event as a vendor and I have sent multiple registrations for different dates. I am thankfully vending at many other locations but wanted to stay close to home and be part of my community. Funny how other cities and communities are much more welcoming. Sad they have never taken the time to respond and send a kind word, when friends ask about the event I just share about their lack of communication and share all the events I've had a positive relationship along my vending experience. I hope that changes with this community I still have hope to hear from them. After not hearing from the odd market for 3 months of trying to join their market and entering multiple registrations and not hearing one word from them. I posted the message above 3/30/2024 at 2 pm and by 2:45 pm same day! I get a rejection notice lmao!!! Rather than calling me and apologizing that I fell through the cracks and seeing how I can be fit in for like may or something, it was found to just turn me down. I grew up here and I am really saddened as I have a great following of customers I can bring to the event. And I have been excited by joint that event. Most locations all the coordinators are wonderful and I have a great experience and I market their events on my pages as do all my family and friends. My favorite was Jorge Daniel Nuñez' "My Lotteria" booth with cool Dia de Los Muertos styled pins and tshirts. I bought some groovy L.A. Dodgers items. The Autry is always interesting and I spent about an hour inside for the "Women of the West" exhibit and also David Bradley's "Indian Country" exhibit. This event is great for families. Entrance is $5/per person. I went to food trucks so I didn't have to wait in any line which turned out to be delicious. We bought a wristband for our toddler to play on all the bounce bounces and kids activities and for $35 she definitely used it for the money to be worth it. We got there at 5 and the DJ was upbeat and we were dancing. Once the band started I didn't really like it, so that could be hit or miss. read more

I have been to this event a few times since they first started and I got to say that it's really a fun place to go to when you get the chance. The last time I went was this past Friday and I love how they changed the set-up and added a lot more food trucks to the group. Parking is free since you can park at the LA Zoo and just make your way over to where the Autry Museum is. Admission is $5, but you get automatically entered to a raffle with entry. They have booths that left you have free samples of what they are selling when it comes to food. And they have a bunch of small businesses in general that make handcrafted things. I ended up buying a bunch of bath bombs that come with surprises inside and had been given an extra one for free. And I even got a dress with a free pair of leggings as well from another vendor. And the dress had pockets!!! It was definitely hard to pick what food to get, but we ended up getting sausages with fries as well as a bacon grilled cheese sandwich. We grabbed some cupcakes too, but I wished they had ice cream there like last time. We ate with the rest of the people on the grass as we listened to the love band playing and watching kids having fun on the grass and even on the inflatables available to them. We also got to view one of the galleries for free in the museum! Overall, this is a fun night for all humans and pets too! read more

We had the best family times at this event! Honestly, lived for it every summer. My kids would ask all throughout the winter when we could go back to the place with all the bounce houses. We would eagerly anticipate the first one in May. Please let the record reflect that this family is VERY SAD not to have this fun, friendly, happy-making event to look forward to each month in the summertime. We would give anything to have it back. I was a bit disappointed by the market, it was kinda quiet and less hip than I thought it would be. Free, easy parking at the Autry (stays opened till 9 pm, but not all the exhibits are opened). The market is between 6pm-11pm. The vendors- that was the best part, very nice people, cool merchandise, they offer samples and they sell various unique things-clothes, art, jelly, soaps, etc . The food trucks are plenty, but I wasn't impressed with the variety, pretty repetitive- lots of BBQ, burgers, dogs, fatty foods (fried pickles and everything you can think of), some seafood, tacos, a few desserts ones. No fusion, less ethnic. Prices were pretty high. There's an area for kids to play at, a big playground. No bands playing as I thought it'd be. Just one DJ in a corner, laid back atmosphere, kinda too quiet. It's a nice community event, I support that, but I thought it would be cooler, more interesting, more hip and odd. read more

Most people would never expect to see MJ's outfits @ a Western Museum. There are lots of other Memorabilia from TV & Movies too. They wet your appetite with several rooms being open in The Museum & hope you'll come back & pay see the whole place. Then there are Food Trucks here & a Band. Bring a blanket &/or portable chairs & sit on the Grass. There are merchandise Booths here too. There are Inflatable Rides here for the kids; That costs extra. It was good when it used to be free. That was part of the appeal. Even though it's now five bucks, it really doesn't seem worth paying money to just walk by a few booths, then stand in line to eat overpriced food while standing up. I think it's cool that they have a night market like this in this location, but since it's a somewhat smaller operation, and there are other events, like farmers markets that offer similar opportunities that are free, I just don't think this is worth going to more than once. read more

I had so much fun at Odd Nights at the Autry! (And how much fun that is to say!) Odd Nights are the third Friday of the warmer months, where local vendors sell their wares and food trucks ply the masses with treats. The Autry's exhibits are open late from 6 - 9 pm and they even have a DJ and bouncy activities for kids. There are maybe 30 to 40 different tent vendors, selling everything from candles, jewelry, art, fruit jams and preserves, clothing, soap, pickles, cotton candy, leather bags and belts, poetry on demand, and children's toys. The quality of vendors is high and they are super welcoming and interesting. The food trucks are arrayed in a semicircle on the lawn, perhaps 20 in all. You could get barbecue, tacos, sliders, hot dogs, and fried chicken. You could have lobster rolls and tuna poke, perogis and currywurst. You could have pies, ice cream, cupcakes, waffles, and cookies. It was amazing. Personally, I sampled Street Kitchen, Mainely Lobster, Poke 2 Go, Van Leeuwen, and Known Reality Pie. I completely forgot to check out the Autry, other than use the rest rooms, which were very clean. But I'd love to do that some time too! Bring a blanket to sit on the lawn, and if you're sensitive, maybe some bug spray. Hand sanitizer also would be a good idea. Dance around by the DJ. Hop in the inflatable slide or gravity defying bouncy jump for the young energetic ones. Parking is FREE for the Autry and across the street at the LA Zoo. This is a pretty cool summer event to check out. It is family and pet friendly. Tons of food trucks and a dozen or so vendors selling random things from gourmet popcorn, soaps, jewelry and various other accessories. The lawn is open so you can bring a picnic blanket and sit and enjoy yourself with a group of friends or the whole family! There were several fun activities available for kids, bounce house thingy, slides, mini-rock climbing wall, etc... there was also a live band. I was annoyed by the fact that they charged $2 for entry when their flyer says free parking and entry. They did give us 2 tickets each saying that we can get $2 back from food trucks. Okay. Well, none of the food trucks I went to accepted the red tickets. So, they really dropped the ball on that one. But moving on from that annoyance, I was expecting a kid friendly place but unless you have children about 5 and up, I'd avoid it. It cost $25 for unlimited play on the 5 or so inflatable things they had. An extra $5 to include the rock wall. I haven't really been to too many of these so don't know the going rate, but seemed pricey. There was a bus in the middle, but you had to pay $2 to paint that. Not really worth it for small children who would be done after 1 stroke. Music, almost nonexistent. I went early, 6pm, bc my baby sleeps early. Music had barely started when I left. Not worth the drive or the $2 entry fee. read more

THIS MARKET IS GREAT! There are tons of food trucks, wares sold by local vendors, live music (if you're into that), inflatable rides and obstacles for the kiddies, and there is plenty of free parking. The only issue with this market is that it may force you to spend much more than you planned on (that's what happened to me. oops). I came here around 6:30pm with three friends, and the market was just getting underway so it wasn't crowded, and the lines for the grub were short (which was important because I was hangry). We decided to split up to conquer the food truck scene: I opted for a chicken and prawn quesadilla from the Street Foods Co. for $10.90 (they charge tax on top of the price listed) it was a good size portion, and the meat inside was tender (which is sometimes a problem with quesadillas). But I still had room for some ice cream after so I snagged a classic mint chip cone (they also offer vegan options) from the Van Leeuwin Artisan Ice Cream truck. It was a steep $5.50, and was tasty, but I won't pay that again. As for the vendors: there were several with jewelry, food products, clothing, and trinkets. I snagged a dirty shot glass from My Only Regret (besides dying) that has a sassy opossum on it, and some foul language... I have since converted it into a planter for a tiny succulent. I also scoped up some Strawberry Vanilla Bean jam from Laura Ann's Jams, which I have resisted eating all of. But just barely. I'll be back to the next Odd Night at the Autry for sure. At the very least it makes for a great dinner. read more

While the space is big, it feels very small. You can probably check out all the shopping stalls, food trucks, and Autrey in about 20 minutes, maybe less. This is probably a good place to bring small kids, since you can let them go on the 5 or so rides/bounce houses while having some alcohol and being out on the lawn. None of the 15-20 food trucks seem particularly good. A lot of the shops are novelty bric-a-brac type stuff. As for the museum, only one gallery is open, so you can't really check out much of The Autrey. There is one bar near the entrance, and they're stocked with all the basics, but only like 3 beer choices (Pabst, 805, Miller, and maybe Corona). It's nice that it exist, but it's a pretty underwhelming experience. The restrooms in the museum are nice. read more

The odd market at the Autry is such a fun event!! Ideal for a night out with the family, a friend, or a date. Not only are there dozens of amazing handcrafted goods/awesome vendors, there are tons of food trucks~ ranging from Poke, to Vegan good, to almost every cuisine you can imagine. Live music, full bar, hula hoops, rock climbing and bouncy houses for kids. This place has it all! I highly recommend checking this event out if you're looking for a fun night out in Los Angeles. Support your local vendors! Last weekend my friends and I had a fabulous time during this "Odd Night". Located across the street from the LA Zoo with plenty of free parking, we arrived to the event surrounded by food trucks, local bands, kid's inflatable bouncers, and lots of vendors. The event itself reminded me of a neighborhood fair. It was small, intimate, and bustling with children running around, lots of pets, and families' picnicking on the grass. The vendor booths had all kinds of unique products. From foods you'd find at Farmer's Markets, jewelry, candles, soaps, oils, plants, clothing, dolls, umbrellas, clocks, coloring books, silhouette photographs etc. There were lots of great finds. Overall, the bands were fantastic and we all had a great time for a free summer event. Nonetheless, I think the odd factor could be greatly improved. Living in LA, there's tons of weirdness and odd shops all around town. I suppose I was hoping things would be a little freakier and less normal? Minus one star since there's room for improvement. read more

Found this place through yelp events and decided to check it out. Decent amount of food ( mostly food trucks) and little shops set up. Liked the lemonade stand they had which sold watermelon lemonade with rosemary. Loved the flavor! There was one stand where a woman wrote poetry on whatever topic you wanted. I thought that was pretty neat! I got there early so when I left, the night just started..music started to play and a lot of people started showing up. There was still plenty of parking available even when we left so parking was not an issue. Hopefully this event will continue to grow as this was their third time setting this up. The promoter, Philip, who runs Odd Nights at the Autry in Griffith Park as-well-as Odd Nights at OMOGC (Our Mother of Good Council Catholic Church) in Los Feliz, should not be allowed to run any type of event which deals with the public. He is completely fake on the outside and will come across as your best friend, however he is a timebomb waiting to go off at any given moment, and has. I've witnessed his explosions numerous times and always to undeserving persons. During Philip's aggression he has always been in the wrong and has even been threatening to others. This is not the type of person who should be dealing with the public at any level and his event days should come to an end. Such a fun outdoor event to spend your Friday . Lots of cool vendors to walk around and look, and tons of different food trucks circled around the grassy area. Activities for kids, such as rock climbing etc. Bring a blanket, buy something from food truck and sit on grass enjoy the music and your company. There are also wine and beers to buy. Yes, admission is $2. Yes, it does say on the website that admission is free, which is not true (hope they fix it or take out the $2 admission). When I went August month at front with $2 admission they gave us a ticket, they said with that ticket we could get $2 discount at any vendor. I was able to use it for the awesome Poke food truck when I bought delicious poke bowl and I got discount. Every month is different, I went September and no discount with $2 admission. Loved the April 15, 2016 event. With the lights, bagpipes and food trucks in a circle on the grass, the place stood out like a fairy gathering or something else magical in the middle of otherwise dark Griffith park. Got some amazing bronze earrings from Israel, the best purse I've ever owned and pizza made Naples-style by some dudes from Italy. 90% of the vendors were friendly, funny and all family-owned businesses. Everyone ignored the corporate soda people. I actually talked with some folks I'd never met and even got a date a couple days later out of it. That's a lot of friendliness and local-love for L.A. Odds Nights at the Autry is a summer festival that goes on once a month, Fridays, during the summer. The Autry is right across the street from the LA zoo and they have have a great outdoor space for doing family, fun events and Odd Nights is no exception. There are 2 long rows of local vendors and clothes caravans for browsing and buying unique products. On the lawn, there is a half circle of food trucks and a big central area where families can bring their chairs and blankets to enjoy the food, music, and people watching. Sometimes the museum will even open a few exhibits to walk through on your visit. My only suggestion would be to add more vegan options in the food trucks. read more

I love coming here with friends for food trucks , cocktails and hanging out. The craft fair is good too. The band are ok but wish they could get some different bands there. I gave this event 2 stars as I think it was more hyped up than it actually was. As I was looking through Yelp for some fun Friday night event, I came across this event. It was definitely disappointing to say the least. Considering it took me over an hour to get here, I was there for all about 30 minutes before I casually walked the entire event. The variety of food trucks was the only reason I gave it 2 stars. Besides that, there was not even 20 vendors, whom did not have much variety. I came to Odd Nights to indulge at my favorite food truck Los Ruizenores! Tortillas are made right there on the spot! It's fresh, everything prepared to order & the taste is exquisite! You can taste the notes and blends of spice for each meat - Carnitas, El Pastor, Asada, Chorizo, Pollo and more! My mouth is watering just thinking about it! Shrimp avail too. Yummy! At the end of the night I went back because I heard someone talking about the veggie tacos. Let me tell you, I'm a carnivorous freak but also love my veggies but would never dream of eating a veggie taco! Well guess what? It was delicious and you can't even tell there isn't any meat in it! For all you nonmeat eaters I suggest you try their veggie tacos. And if you want spice (as in HOT) they've got it! I don't think I have a picture of the veggie taco because I inhaled the whole damn thing b4 snapping a photo. So the truck and restaurant is owned by a fun wife and husband team and family members. I guarantee when you walk up to the line and order you will become part of their family because that's the way they make you feel! If you want to taste the experience check em out at the next Odd Nights at the Autry! Bring the kids. They have fun kids activities, a full bar and lots of great vendors. Ones I suggest is handcrafted jewelry made by Cindy Graham she has amazing prices I even told her she needs to charge more! The next great stop is candles, Piece by Paz. Wooden wicks, soy candle the glass is from champagne bottles they get from Sharkeez in Manhattan Beach. The scents may not be strong when you smell them on site but when you take it and light it at home OMG the ambience and sent carries throughout the whole house no joke!
