If you're a comic/super hero/toy/collectibles fan, this is the most odd-acious place on the plant! Odd Balls is chock full of every character you can imagine and even some that are beyond imagination. While there are Mostly vendors selling toys, legos, marvel, etc. the Claire's part has some antiques but not at bargain prices. The "vintage" items are higher here than many other antique shops I frequent, but you just may find that item you can't resist! They also sell lots of holiday decorations, vinyl records, outdoor furniture, and tons more! It's a joy to walk down the aisles and say "I had that!" Or "Remember those!" I did happen to spy a cute little Snoopy Fire King bowl that I got for a friend! No matter what, you'll have a blast perusing the goods at this super cool shop! And P.S. they host several huge flea markets in their parking lot throughout the year with vendors, food trucks, carnival fare, and deals!! read more

I came here with a friend for their flea market and really liked it. The parking lot was full from all the people checking it out, but it didn't take me too long to find parking. I've been in this area outside of the flea market and you can find parking very fast in the lot. It felt like there were over 30 vendors outside with a variety of awesome things at a range of different prices. After we had fun exploring the flea market, we went inside to see what the store had to offer. My first comment is I love the turtle, it's so cute and right by the cashier. You can spend a good hour or more in this shop looking through everything. They have a HUGE selection of vintage toys. If you're looking for collectable toys, this is the place for you in RVA. I was on the hunt for a specific type of cocktail glass, and although I did not find it, I did find a bunch of other gorgeous glassware. Their permanent pieces here were cool too. You won't want to miss their creepy Annabelle doll or their giant Frankenstein. You can find a variety of furniture, home goods, toys, collectables and more at this shop. The pricing felt pretty fair too for certain pieces. If you're in the mood to find some delightful vintage items, Oddballs is a good place to start. read more

We received an invite to their "Summerween" event so we decided to check it out. My husband LOVED this place. If you are looking for holiday themed vintage Blow Molds - this is the place for you! So many options available (mostly Christmas but also a few Halloween and Easter). Lots of 90s toys and memorable (aka McDonalds glasses, comic books, WWE toys, vintage lunchboxes, Tupperware, video games, vinyls, etc). They also have some antiques sprinkled throughout. This place is fairly large so plan to spend some time walking around and browsing through all the booths. Prices vary depending on what you are looking at...most tended to be on the pricier side however many of the booths had 50% saws happening. If you a serious antique shopper this might not be the place for you but if you are looking for some nostalgic pieces, I'd highly recommend you come to browse here one day. read more

Stopped by today, wow! This place I would call a "dorky flea market"! There are video games, records, cds, comic books, and much more. Staff is very helpful also! I really was impressed with their horror section(s). The place has got something for everyone. Prices were not too bad, but highly sought out merchandise will go for top dollar as expected. The store has a large selection of items but the majority of items are largely overpriced. The value is just not there.

The name fits the place. This is like a flea market in retail form. I can not speak to a lot of the items in there, but the retro game selection was small but decent. Pretty good variety. I first stopped in at Oddballs when they first opened and didn't have the building yet filled. All they had at that time was mostly collectible type stuff, which is not my thing at all. So, I waited to review until now when they are full with actual vintage booths in addition to the collectible stuff. Much better. They have some pretty good vendors in there and the prices are fair. For those of you into Victorian antiques and older, though, you won't find that type stuff here. They also have a bit of painted furniture rustic country type stuff, which is also not my thing, but some people are into it. read more

SO MUCH FUN that every time I had visitors to Richmond, it's on the top 5 "To Do's." For better or worse, I have never left this enormous store empty-handed. For fans of retro kitsch, there's no better destination... in fact, there are so many booths that truly, honestly, really(!) there's something for everybody! Owners are delightfully cordial... This place is AMAZING!!! Especially as a Star Wars fan. They have everything. Home decor, jewelry, comics, old toys! They have a whole room just filled to the brim with Star Wars and comic book toys! And everything is reasonably priced, too, toys usually ranging from $4-$20. It's incredible! Multiple rooms chock full of awesome stuff. I loved this place! I was on a mission to find some old school sweaters and they had plenty of things to choose from! I ended up going home with a cut smiley face mug I picked up for $1, a cat ornament for my tree - and it was good quality - and a couple of other "odd" things. It seems that people get a booth and sell their items in the store. There were tons of antique items. I'm not sure what the other reviewer was expecting by the word antiques or oddball, but they had a bunch of strange and quirky things from many decades ago. Old dishware? You got it. Old toys from the 80s and 90s? Yup, you can find it here. They even had a Wheaties box with Micheal Jordan on it. I think this place definitely has both antiques and oddballs. It's worth a stroll and you're bound to walk out buying something! read more

Found this place by chance while making my rounds thrifting one weekend; you've really got to dig and work for it, but there are quite a few diamonds in the rough. For guys like me who grew up in the 80's, there is an interesting array of comics, action figures, and video games. However, I often felt like the vendors had picked out the "key" items to sell on Ebay. Be prepared to pay for the vendors' overhead, but in some cases it is worth it if you are willing to put the time and effort into searching. Staff was very friendly and kind. Will visit again in a month or two to see if anything new has arrived. Update: Vendor 345 has since added a ton of new books and a rack with key issues for easy access. The accessibility and ease of going through the long boxes is much appreciated! read more

Went through the entire store looking for bargains, picked up an old hand blown ships decanter, an turn of the century mug from the Order of the Elks, two amethyst spiral hand blown cordials and a small sterling plate. The plate was marked $2.00, great find right? WRONG, the owner said he wouldn't sell it to me at that price as it was sterling. I said "understood, how much would you sell it to me for?" $25.00 was his reply, now remember it was MARKED by the booth owner at $2.00. I said that I wouldn't pay that price... which prompted the store owner to reply that "he wouldn't let his shop owners get screwed" Excuse me! I was even willing to entertain a reasonable price, but the owner was more interested in making sure that I as a customer that picked up a priced item didn't screw a shop owner that had priced there item to low. Guess want Mister Antique shop owner, all the pieces I was going to buy were anywhere from 5 to 15 times under valued. I am filing a complaint with consumer affairs, and never shopping here again. Contacted the OAG office and filed a formal complaint against this establishment (clearly I can't call this a business). read more

This place is packed to the gills with awesomeness. Especially if you are a child of the 70's/80's SO many things from your childhood. Definitely adding it to my Richmond route - a little bit of everything from comics and games to shabby chic furniture and cute décor signs. Went in there and found a few items that were way over priced. I had found a game that I wanted priced at $89 (normally $50 on eBay and at other local stores) when I went to haggle price I was unable to speak the vendor that were selling the product for he was not inside the store just his merchandise. A 3rd party then told me that the vendor would do his sale of 10% but would not go down any further. I find it very frustrating that I'm not able to speak directly to the person who priced the item and was told by someone else who has nothing to do with how the vendor prices items No. in my experience this is bad business and I would not recommend anyone go here unless they are willing to pay for overpriced items. read more

Very engaging shop, with unusual, one of a kind items. Yes, there are some of the same things you see at other shops, but they do have an eclectic collection of items to keep the bargain hunter engaged. I found some fantastic, one-of-a-kind items, and will continue to keep them on my tour list. Many different vendors, so there is an assortment of different collections. Not necessarily your run of the mill antique store, more of an oddity store. I have had great luck here! read more
