Brilliant Brilliant Brilliant !!! Theres very little for toddlers to do (in doors) in belfast and I'm sick of looking at Funky Monkeys. So I was delighted to know that this bowling place had small shoes for my daughters age group and also stands to help her play. They also put bumpers up for her!!!! She loved every minute of it and I would recommend this to any parent looking something different to do with there kids. Great family fun for the winter times that ticks every box, food, drink, games, music and of course bowling. :) read more

This brought me back to my childhood. I was taken bowling back home with my brother and my uncle when I was little and my uncle told me all of the various ways that it was possible to get hurt in bowling, even telling me a story about a friend swinging the ball back and smashing someone in the face... Needless to say that was the last time I went bowling. I wasn't going to risk my life! I'm not stupid!.... But many years later, after getting over my fear of being hit with a bowling ball in the face, I went down during the day with my girlfriend. There was only a handful of people about so ask I broke into my stride and bowled a record score, there was no one else to witness it apart from my girlfriend who 'claims' it never happened... Never the less I won all three games! Upstairs is a wee arcade type area which is a great place to bring children, but can often attract the hoodlum crowd which seems to be drawn towards this sort of place. I'm crap at bowling. I mean borderline special at it. I am totally uncoordinated and un-sporty but luckily I have other talents! Anytime I've tried bowling my frail wrists (seriously they haven't grown since I was about ten, what's the deal?) have failed me and I usually end up looking like a total lamo as the ball teeters down the off the lane and into the gulley (or whateva you call it). It is a fun sport though and it's great to go along with a gang. And this place has it all. Alongside bowling there is also loads of arcade games to play. There's also a bar- drunken bowling would have hilarious consequences I would imagine. This place gets really busy at the weekends so choose when you visit wisely. read more

I do love bowling. That's probably because I'm terrible at every other sport, but nevertheless, it provides a huge amount of entertainment and brings out the competitive side in everyone. If you head down to the Odyssey Bowl in the evening, particularly Thursday, Friday and Saturday, it's incredibly busy. Nearly always at least 15 of the 20 lanes are filled . If you head down during the day time, it's not quite so. My brother, sister and I did this a while back, and the atmosphere was really very different. Much more laid back and chilled - we had a lane to ourselves for an hour, and got two games each out of it (I did win one...hurrah!). I've been in the evening with a youth group, and it was pretty hectic. It was a mad dive for the smallest / lightest bowling balls, but although it was busier and more chaotic, I actually enjoyed the faster pace. Staff are always really friendly and helpful, and I've definitely tested their patience. Furthermore, you can order food from the upstairs restaurant / bar and eat while you bowl...not too sure just how hygenic that is mind you. Odyssey Bowl really makes for a great night out (or day out), and attracts all age groups, from the very young to the young at heart. Much recommended! read more

When I was a kid I used to go here most weekends whilst waiting for a movie to start in the cinema up stairs. When I was younger it was brilliant. It was newly opened and every arcade game was shiny and new! Nowadays I would occasionally go for the bowling but that's about it. Besides, with the decline of the odysseys popularity, they have kind of stopped trying and it has gone down hill, especially the upstairs. The bowling is still a great laugh though. At night they turn down the lights and the UV can really be seen on the bowling balls. The price is quite reasonable as well. If your in a large crowd its cheaper still, but it doesn't cost the sun if there are two of you. You can pay by the hour or by the game, if your in a rush, I suggest the game as you'd be surprised how quickly these pass by! read more

This is a pretty shoddy set up if truth be told. I have been here a few times and never found the service or experience to be anything other than dreadful. Its overpriced, the lanes always break, there are always wee kids running around and being wee shits and generally making for an absolutely dreadful experience. There is a bowling alley up at Dundonald Ice Bowl and it is far, far better. You may need to take a bit of a trek up to it, but it is worth it to avoid this complete and utter hole. I never mean to be this negative in reviews but it really is a complete and utter shocker. Avoid at all costs. read more

Not being 15 anymore, I tend not to hang out in bowling alleys at the weekend like I used to. However. For my birthday a few years ago, I found myself there through a series of disasters and strange decisions. We didn't bowl, but we did play almost all the video games, and spent a lot of time getting competitive over air hockey (I had a bad wrist. That's why I didn't win. Honest.), and I really enjoyed it. There is a bar, but it's limited, so we didn't really drink there, but there's loads there to keep anyone entertained, so I'd say it's a pretty decent place to take the kids, especially older ones who are generally harder to entertain. read more

I went here for my birthday in July and had a great time! I was able to ring up prior to arriving and pre-book two lanes, and when arriving simply go to the reception desk and re call my surname. The staff were very efficient and helpful with any queries we had. The bowling was great fun! The lanes are glow in the dark, with disco balls and lights lighting up the room. There was also a bar area nearby, meaning we all had a little drink whilst playing, which was fun! Upstairs there is an arcade, and a cordoned off gambling machine area. The whole place seemed to be very busy (It was a Thursday Night) and enjoyed by a lot of teenagers ad families. It seems like a great place for fun with friends and/or family. read more

Much in need of an update. The Robinson Centre is nowhere near the league of the new-ish centre in Lisburn. The pool is fine but is unchanged in 30 years and could do with some modernisation. The locker room is appalling and, again, way out of date. Go early to avoid the masses ! read more

I don't know what happened to bowling. When I was young there was actually a bowling alley in the tin-poke shanty town that I lived in, long since closed. Bowling seems to be one of those fads that has just run its course. I was here a good while back for a work outing, a large group of us piled down in a mini-van looking for an evenings entertainment and a flagon of ale (you don't get many flagons of ale these days I've noticed....it's something I really want to petition for) The bowling alley is pretty big, there must have been 15-20 lanes as well as a large stocked bar and a variety of the usual game machines. The games were paid for by the company but the prices were all reasonable, to be honest you're better renting the lane for a predetermined amount of time rather than per game. If you want to get back to the hay-day of youth activities when all things alcoholic were only a thing of the future then give this place a try. read more

This is a great bowling alley. it is glow in the dark and great fun to go to before going out for bite to eat. i dont think its great for small kids as there sre pool tables and a bar so has a more grown up feel than dundonal but purhaps because ive only been at night. Well worth the money due to location always good for a good night out. read more

Staff in here are great, always have lots of fun when I'm here. A fifth star would be awarded for lower prices on refreshments.

Not a bad spot for trying to avoid a drunkin night out at Cathedral Quarter. Plenty of non-alcoholic things to do to distract you such as play pool, play 10p machines, and win cuddly toys. Not to mention the main event - Bowling! Open to 12 on Fridays and Sat is a real bonus - and if you really must have a beer theres a bar too! read more

This bowling alley, of all in Belfast, feels the most like an American Bowling alley, probably because you can get beer to drink while you bowl if you want to. What I was very surprised about was them asking me for ID, (I'm in my twenties), but then again I suppose I should have been flattered. It does be very busy - well, it has been every time I've been, and you have to look around sometimes to get the weight of ball you want (why do they never have enough light ones?) and the staff are all helpful enough with what you need, namely the icky shoes - but that can't be helped. There is something really creepy about wearing someone else's shoes, isn't there? Anyway, it's good for a day, afternoon or evening out with friends. Don't like having to pay for parking though. read more

this place is always and empty and quite boring i would only go here for the cinema and pizza hut.
