I found this place after attempting to efile using TaxAct. Go to knowledgable CPA, he'll know how…read moreto save you money, right? Wrong. Local place, friendly, convenient, and affordable right? Wrong. I wanted to get my taxes filed and maybe a few questions answered. After a very quick meeting, I was quoted at $125 or "a buck and a quarter" as the CPA said. I was contacted a few days later, the woman said I could come back and pay $150. I argued the price, and ended the call. The CPA himself call me back and argued with me, saying "I would've never said $125" but since nothing was in writing, I let it go. I then proceeded to get ask some questions and I was cut off abruptly and asked "do you want tax advice or your taxes filed?". I was shocked. They will NOT do both. I guess The Tax Wizard of Oz-Castle thought the $150 didn't cover advice. I just wanted a couple questions answered and I could tell it was killing him to do it for free. I learned nothing about how to better my situation next year. I forgot why I chose to use them. I could've efiled myself for 1/10 the cost and learn nothing. They made the already horrible tax process intimidating and uncomfortable. It was a couple weeks before I brought myself back in to pay them. I won't be back in 2017.
