You can't see 1/4 mile in front of you

This place is a scam. When I spoke to the people at the booth they told me that we would definitely see whales since they had seen whales the whole week. We were pretty shocked by their confidence but it made us think it would be fairly certain we would see whales. The morning of the tour it was very foggy, I went to the booth again to ask if we would still see whales despite the fog. She seemed less confident this time but still assured me that we would see whales. The boat ride was foggy and extremely choppy. I didn't see any whales since we didn't stop for long enough when the tour guide apparently spotted one for us to actually see anything. When we went to the booth to request for a partial refund we were spoken to so rudely. The lady lied and said she never assured us that we would see whales. I went to Maine for my birthday to see whales and I left so disappointed and hurt by how I was treated by the people that worked there. Really can't recommend.

Went on this tour yesterday around 2 PM. It was a fantastic tour. It was well narrated and lasted about an hour and 15 minutes which was just perfect. The boat was clean and the restrooms were very very nice. Indoor seating when it was cool or up on deck and outdoor standing and seating as well. Plenty of beverages and snacks to purchase and very well socially distanced and clean. I would recommend this any day of the week. It was perfect for us. Thanks captain and your crew.

We also came across a number of Minke whales, which look like dolphins on top but whales under the surface.

As a solo traveler, I…read morewas looking for experiences that felt comfortable and fun on my own, and this was absolutely perfect. The excursion was not only enjoyable but also educational. I learned so much about Maine's lobster industry including how lobsters are caught, which ones are kept for restaurants, and why certain lobsters are returned to the water. It was fascinating to learn about the process and get a behind-the-scenes look at such an important part of Maine's culture. One of my favorite parts was getting to choose my own lobster. It was only $12 to keep the lobster I caught, and then I took it over to Portland Lobster Co. (just about a one-minute walk away) where they cooked it for an additional $15. The meal came with corn on the cob and a baked potato, and I was able to enjoy it right on the waterfront with plenty of seating, additional menu options, and live music. The boat ride itself was about 1 hour and 45 minutes and included beautiful views of Portland's coastline, seals, and other famous landmarks. The crew was wonderful, friendly, knowledgeable, and they made sure everyone had a chance to participate. Even with 17 people onboard, no one was overlooked. They also took photos of everyone, which was a thoughtful touch. A few tips for future visitors: the boat has limited restroom availability, so I recommend using the restroom before boarding. Also, if you have time, definitely plan to enjoy your lobster afterward at Portland Lobster Co. it completes the experience. This was such a memorable way to experience Portland and a must-do for anyone visiting Maine.

Even with the limited catch the crew were super friendly and provided some good information about lobsters, the industry, and the harbor! They made sure that everyone was able to get involved and had plenty of photo opportunities! We bought two lobsters off the boat and took it to Portland lobster co next door afterwards! I'd recommend this trip! Make sure you bring cash to purchase the lobsters from your trip. They were $12.50 each for ours!

From the famous Portland Head Lighthouse to off the beaten path locations that no tourist ever attended, he found spots to take gorgeous photos and videos. Although the weather on the day we visited was overcast, Norm even planned for those weather contingencies and had multiple locations ready for us to film from. He helped to structure the tour so that lighting was best for the specific shot. Prior to our tour, Norm had also location scouted a variety of different locations so that he could recommend specific spots from which to film rather than us wasting time looking for a spot to shoot from. Norm was also extremely hospitable and friendly and epitomized Maine hospitality. Norm and his company have the flexibility to cater the tour to your exact specifications: You want local only food places for foodies; you want a tour in Cantonese or Portuguese; You want a tour of all lighthouses -- nothing was a problem. Norm also took us to a local restaurant that had some of the best clam chowder in the east coast, and the absolute best lemon mascarpone cheesecake that I have ever tasted in my life. Thank you Norm. We would never do Maine without first booking a tour with you.
