I would not recommend Modern Concepts, because Mike does not deliver what he promised in the finished product. His cost is much too high for what they can deliver upon.

He constantly demands for more money and to be paid before our agreed upon progress payments. He spray painted our brand new appliances because he is sloppy and damaged our brand new wooden flooring. Bottom line we had to pay Mike at Modern concepts about $4,000 more than he quoted and he took twice as long and delivered a product that was not satisfactory. Plus during the whole process he was very unclear about payments and anything money related which makes him come across as untrustworthy. Save yourself time and money and do not go with modern concepts.

The patio and retaining wall look great. The project took longer than expected, but those delays were all on our side. We took longer than we should have to make various decisions about light fixtures, etc. We also changed the scope of the project a few times, adding more areas of walkways that we decided needed to be refinished with the stamped concrete. We would recommend KBR for any project that you might have. Karen was great to work with and even when we were not following through with things on our end, she never lost her cool with us and was very patient waiting for us to come to decisions on things. I had researched for weeks businesses that do this kind of work (some of which have horrifying reviews) and I am so glad I came across In Touch! They spent time prepping and making sure our light fixtures, tile, vanity, and painted walls were all protected before they began. They even were able to take out an old grab-bar on the side and patch the holes. You would've never known it was there or that our tub was green! It's now stunning.
