Exceptional service from Oscar at Off The Charts McFarland On August 18th, I called "Off The Charts" to ask if they could hold a specific brand and strain for me to pick up the next day. Oscar, the manager, was happy to accommodate. When I arrived early on August 19th, he had done exactly what he promised the last ounce of that strain was held aside for me, exactly as agreed. What really stood out was Oscar's genuine focus on the patient. He didn't just fulfill my request he went a step further and recommended some quality flower that I hadn't tried, and I'm grateful he did. The recommendation was spot-on and I'm completely satisfied with my purchase. While visiting family in Bakersfield for New Year's, my boyfriend and I decided to make the drive out to Off the Charts in McFarland after hearing they had a better selection than dispensaries closer to Bakersfield. We were also excited because of their advertised 80% off first-time patient deal and the "refer a friend, get an eighth" promotion. Unfortunately, from the start, the experience was inconsistent and unorganized. My boyfriend went in first with a buddy so they could both take advantage of the refer-a-friend deal. Somehow, they walked out with neither promotion honored. They were only offered 40% off instead of the advertised 80% for first-time patients, and to make matters worse, they never even received a receipt. Later that same day, I went in myself with a different friend who was referring me. I was actually able to redeem the 80% off first-time patient deal. My friend ultimately didn't even use the refer-a-friend free eighth because the options weren't appealing, and instead settled for the New Year's 40% off deal. What really stood out and not in a good way was the customer service. The budtender/cashier who helped us genuinely seemed like it was her first day on the job. Her demeanor and lack of focus strongly suggested she may have been under the influence, which unfortunately aligned with similar comments I later noticed in other reviews. Every question my friend asked was met with confusion and unclear explanations, often delivered in a way that was difficult to follow. I had to step in multiple times just to clarify what she was even trying to communicate. She appeared unfamiliar with the store's own promotions and policies. Whether this was due to lack of training or misinformation, it came across as unprofessional and misleading. Customer service is usually what sets dispensaries apart, and this was seriously lacking. For a shop that's considered one of the better options in the area, this experience was disappointing. Alexis Nicole! I will be posting the billboard you did not honor!!! My boyfriend came in on Friday as a first time patient they honored the billboard 80 percent off !! He got two drinks a pack of joints! The whole order I have the receipt to prove it!!! Today "sunday" I go in for my first time patient deal... and ms Alexis Nicole begins to tell me I will get 50 percent off the same order..... The billboard says your first visit 80 percent off Alexis Nicole begins to tell me only one product gets 80 percent off so I said okay fine give me 80 percent off one and she continue with just 50 percent off.. so I ended up leaving with one product even tho I had a receipt from my boyfriends order because we loved the things we got... pretty pathetic they make up rules as they go... or maybe they pick and choose and since I wasn't a man they didn't honor it! Unfortunately the reviews are correct. One guy was way too high to be working. The other guy is super hyped up however doesn't know any of the discount they provide. You have to look up on Weedmaps and they will honor those supposedly. (They shit talk the sale brands to get you to buy "top shelf"). Prices are ridiculously high. read more

I've spent over $400 here and when I asked how many points I have to get a discount, they said I had NONE. I asked the cashier if he remembered me spending from the last week, and he said yes. We don't have access to the points we get, and we don't have access to the rules in which you obtain points. It's all BS. They got some really good deals. Security was really nice too. Biggest thing is they only take cash which really pissed me off because I had to spend an extra 3.99 to withdraw money there which really pisses me off so really take cash or do not waste your time here don't waste your four bucks. Over all mid because of the greediness, they squeeze those extra 4 bucks out of all us and it's unnesscessary. Killed the vibe read more

this place feels like a candy shop with the plethora of options they have though my only gripe would be card not being a possible payment option, they've got good deals within seasonal holidays which is nice and the staff is always so helpful wether that'd be from recommendations to just a Q&A. it's nice having a spot so much closer to me than having to go out my ways to LA making a shorter and more reasonable option for me. read more

PLEASE let them know about the 50% off sign off the freeway when speaking to the security guard in front if you don't mention it they won't give you the discount. They also don't have good deals if someone refers you. read more

Amazing dispensary! For the only legal store front in kern county, definitely a 10/10. Paying the same as any other dispensary, most people dont realize how much Cali taxes on Top shelf items. Be so fr, its amazing here. Def coming back! read more
