It is hopping on a Monday evening. Let me first say the service was excellent. All the staff were friendly and prompt. We started with some appetizers the calamari and the mussels. Both was delicious. It is rare to find calamari that isn't over cooked and this was cooked perfectly to tender, lightly breaded and served with a fabulous taziki sauce. The mussels served with toast points in a lemon wine sauce was excellent. I order the seafood linguini that had sockeye, clams, mussels, white fish and prawns in a lemon cream sauce that was all excellent. A huge portion that I took half home. My husband had the pork schnitzel special and upgraded to the risotto for his side instead of mashed potatoes. He also added a ceasar salad for us to share. It was wonderful!! The only qualm I had about the interior is that there were a distracting number of fruit flies (I think I had 3-4 that died in a single beer). What was most off-putting, however, wasn't even the food. It was watching the chef openly berate our waitress over issues with the food--food that he was ultimately responsible for preparing. Watching a staff member be spoken to that way, especially in front of guests, was incredibly uncomfortable and overshadowed the entire evening. A disappointing meal is one thing, but the way people are treated matters just as much. We left with more than just a bad taste in our mouths, and unfortunately, what should have been a lovely evening became memorable for all the wrong reasons
