I am an elderly disabled man . I went here to do printing. There are no wheel chairs or sit down options while using the copier. The young man behind the counter at 1pm on Saturday, September 9 was no help at all. He was rude and contemptuous at my inability to proceed. Saying the instructions are on the machine,,read them. I wanted to order plastic bins. Was initially provided a 25% coupon, which I added to the cart. A .01 cent two business day shipping offer displayed in the cart. Then I received a 30% coupon that I added to the cart. As soon as I removed the 25% coupon to apply the 30% coupon, the shipping offer changed to $3.01, which wiped out the additional savings of the 30% coupon. I called the store because the main customer service number is completely automated. I spoke to the manager, Chris. He told me to add the coupon again. This changed nothing. I asked to be put in touch with the district manager. Chris refused. He told me that the district manager wouldn't speak to me and the district manager has other things to do. I see a lot of low reviews for this location but I honestly had a really great experience when I went there to have a large poster made. Eve, who helped me, was friendly, polite and took the time to explain all my choices and how much it would cost. She told me she'd have it that afternoon and I was called an hour later that it was ready. She remembered me and my name (even behind my COVID Mask and was genuinely a nice person. I then walked around the store (just browsing ) and was asked by two other associates if I needed help-I didn't. I did end up buying a pack of photo paper and paying at the main register and was greeted by another friendly face who made conversation with me and wished me a great day. Don't know what other people have experienced there but I've been here four times in the last two months and have Leah's felt I was treated well. read more

Clearly it has a low rating for numerous of reasons. Maybe because they feel that their the only location that a person can print out copies in the whole town of Newburgh or maybe they just have poor work ethics. Either way I come in to simply get 42 pages printed off my USB drive and notice they had only 2 copiers in the whole entire store. The employees are just by the counter chit-chatting (not about jobs that needed to get done I'm sure) I kindly ask if they can print something out for me and one lady (with no hesitation) pointed straight to the two copiers that was already being used, But Before I asked, I did stand on line to use the only 2 copiers avail. The person in front of me looked very annoyed and said I've been waiting for at least 30mins. The clock was ticking and I'm still waiting, the customer in front of me left (he got tired of waiting). Once again I tried my luck to ask if they can print it out for me. The copiers by the production area were NOT being used at all, and once again they said they couldn't so I said you know what I need to leave so "let me place an order how long will it be done tomorrow"?!?!? . The other employee nodded and said "yep". ... ... Unbelievable!!!!!! I worked at kinko's (FedEx office) for years and they had a bad reputation but never have I left a customer waiting that long for 1 set of a 42 page print out. On top of all the hassle I had to type my info MYSELF on their computer name,address ,email, ect.. smh!!!!!!! by the time I did all that they just could've printed out my papers. Uugh omg!!!!! finally after being there for almost an hour looking super Annoyed a employee "Mathew" saw my frustration and saw that I was in a hurry, he took the initiative and inserted my USB and printed my copies, it literally took SECONDS! I give the one star because in order to post. I went to Office Depot them to my family obituary Cash the manager was so helpful and amazing. He take his time typing it out for us. When he was finished I Needed some scissors when I asked one of the workers there, she totally ignored me, and when I try her attention, she walked over to the counter and just handed me the scissors to attitude, but she had to help me. Extremely prejudice staff! I was shocked when BOTH white male employees ( one with red hair + glasses and the other with a buzz cut) told me not ship weed?! EXTREMELY insulting and had absolutely nothing to do with why I was there! I was in town visiting family and didn't want my bags to be overweight at the airport. So I figured I stop in and ship some clothing I bought while shopping. They both acted extremely suspicious as if I was doing something wrong. Then couldn't even give me a receipt for my shipment because "The printer was down." I was in a time crunch so I shipped the package but both should loose their jobs if they are telling customers this on a regular basis. Completely unprofessional. No stars except 1 for the staff that is friendly, though not always completely helpful. CHECK PRICES before stepping into this store! Reams of paper, for example, are marked up more than 100% over all other stores in the area. Paid $27 for a package of paper that costs $12 down the road. Office Depot matches prices, but only BEFORE purchase. If you've already purchased and want a refund of the difference, you're out of luck. The mark-ups here are extreme and shameful. Very poor customer service. I went to the store on Monday and asked an associate that was behind the desk to help me make copies. I had a seizure and have a lot of medical issues He quickly replied No. I have other things to do and not going that way. Besides you have cash and need to go see the cashier and get a gift card. States to him that wasn't nice but went to the cashier Susan who was very nice and sweet. Everytime I go there she is always so pleasant. She got me the card and tried to help make copies. When I asked to speak to the manager she called him and he came up. I seen the other gentlemen and asked him "hey can I have your name" he replied nope I'm off the clock and don't have to answer your questions. Put his cowboy hat on and when he seen the manager come up he came and stood next to me aggressively and tried to intimidate me as I told the manager what was happening. When I stated your off so you can leave and stop trying to antagonize me he replied nope just making sure your gonna tell the truth. I stated I don't have any reason to lie. Asked the manager who refused to remove him from the situation what was the store managers name and he stated Alex. I've called the store twice and haven't been able to talk to a store manager Alex. Horrible customer service. Asked why they don't wear badges and was told because the store manager decided due to rise in customers threatening employees, he decided no one has to wear badges. What kind of crap is this. Only positive experience I had walking into this store was Susan. She's a sweetheart. She was even shocked hearing everything that was happening. This location has such terrible customer service . The staff always has a condescending attitude each & every time I need assistance with a print job . I live in Town if Newburgh so it's often I have to use their print service , && sadly I'd take a trip to Staples before dealing with them again ! Any request is a problem && a huge inconvenience . the work environment is awful they feed off of one another's rude behavior. Ok, first things first, this place has some stuff in a pinch, the people there don't give a sh** about anything or anyone including the customers. You have a few people working and a lot of people standing around talking to each other and ignoring customers. This place could be great but it's just a local place that might have what you need. If you ask them for help with something they almost always say if it's not on the shelf then they don't have it. I'm not saying you won't on the right day find someone who cares but that's only going to be by total accident. Picked up my new computer here last month for a really great sale. Salesman was really pushy about up selling me on stuff I didn't need, like a new anti-virus program for my computer yet the computer came with free anti-virus for 90 days. He then said Norton was trash only to convince me to spend $100 on the program he was pushing. Overall if you avoid the pushy sales people it's an average Office Depot conveniently connected to the mall. read more

So just left this place. I guess it wasn't terrible but I was going in to buy a sale item. I got exactly what I needed and waited on line for about 5 minutes. There were only 2 people in front of me and two cashiers . It was first thing in the morning so you would expect to be in and out. Guess the cashiers were still asleep. I have to say this store looks like a HOT MESS!! Items all over the place and just doesn't look like a store you would want to shop in. I gave it 3 stars because the clerk retrieved the item I requested relatively quick which made my overall shopping experience painless. However, I would not readily return to this store. It was a pleasure to be greeted at the door by Pedro; stationed at the cash register, and made a point to greet everyone who entered, and if possible, those who were leaving. He was attentive to customers and made my visit nice by engaging me in conversation while I waited to complete the rest of my business there. I also had the chance to speak with Eve, who is very knowledgeable about all of the products that are sold in the store, and could recommend other places to obtain items that aren't sold at this location. I went to this store to ship a package with a FedEx label already affixed. It was very early in the morning, and I was the only customer waiting to ship a packgage, yet I had to wait approximately 5 minutes before a gruff clerk came and took my package. I asked him for a FedEx tracking receipt, and he told me that they did not issue tracking receipts. Puzzled, I told him to give me back my package, which I took to another FedEx location and was given a tracking receipt. Later during the day, I called the store to inquire about their policy regarding the issuance of tracking receipts, and was informed by a clerk that they do indeed give their customers FedEx tracking receipts when they drop of packages. Based on my experience at this store, I have given them 1 star -- only because there is no lower rating. read more

I purchased 2 ink cartridges on Monday 2/08/21 and came in today 2/10/21 to exchange them for the right ones. I called that Monday and asked if i can exchange without a receipt. They said yes we will just look up your credit or debit card and it'll be fine. It took over a half an hour to exchange my merchandise. No one can figure out how to exchange the ink cartridges. My transaction did not come up on the computer. I showed them my online bank statement for proof and still no answer. The employee said there computer program is so outdated. Hmmm so you sell computer supplies but your system is outdated ok how ironic. Never thought it would take 30 minutes. So annoyed. Then one of them said well that's why you should keep your receipt as if it was my fault. No one keeps there receipt it's 2021 that's why we use our cards. But apparently not in Office Depot. Been to this store twice, first time I left without speaking to staff and the second trip failed to get an answer to a simple question. The prices are comparable to any store but they have great coupons that you get and a great rewards program that really deep discount the ink , etc prices and you can stack the rewards and the coupons for a great deal on what you need . The people here are always nice and helpful ! read more

Have struggled with the COPY CENTER. They don't know their jobs, and have an attitude when asked any questions. Unfortunately, there is NO Staples locally, so they are the only game in town. Spoke to the manager, and complained about ROBYN, who was the Queen of Attitude, and he responded, "She is AWWWWWWSOME."... So, there is nowhere ELSE to go, and they don't care. If you find you MUST use their services, plan ahead, and plan to spend MUCH MORE TIME than necessary for the simplest jobs. Very Sad. read more

So I walked into the store to make a return and as soon as I walked in there was someone, Richard, standing very close to the door putting items on the shelf. I informed him that I wanted to make a return but didn't have the receipt but I did have the credit card I used to purchase it and asked if I would be able to return it. I've been in Office Depot customer for over 15 years and a Rewards member. I always found the store a pain since the workers are usually MIA, and it's hard to get a question answered. But it's close to home and I buy a ton of ink here for my Epson printer. I bought a blue 252xl ink and put it in my closet for about a month-and-a-half then yesterday loaded it into my printer and it didn't work. I reloaded it it still didn't work I could hear that there was ink in there but it wouldn't work so I brought it back to the store. Cashawin, an employee, told me I could not return the ink without the receipt. I asked him to look it up through my rewards number and he couldn't find it. He said because the box was open and I didn't have the receipt he could not exchange it. I said I had to open the box to find out the ink cartridge was broken didn't I? I asked him to look up how long I had been a customer and how much I bought from the store and never returned anything, and he said I'm sorry I can't exchange it. Bought a computer there and was told it had Windows 7 on it (which was what I wanted). Got home, and it had 8.1 Windows which I hate. I updated to Windows 10 hoping it would be better than 8.1 and have had nothing but issues and problems. Guy in the computer section had an attitude and couldn't have cared less. I bought a shelf display. When I went back 2 weeks later to talk to them, the yellow shelf sign that stated the PC had Windows 7 installed on it was still up even though I had bought the display weeks ago!! Manager had an attitude also. He barely stopped walking when I tried talking to him. Pass on this place and go to Staples in Monroe. read more

I went to Office Depot to get a 480 page music book spiral bound. Found out there wasn't a spiral big enough for it, so Jenna was kind enough to suggest 3-ring hole punching it, then purchasing a binder to put it in instead of spiral binding it. She told me "Matthew" would get started on the project on Monday and email me when it is finished. Monday morning I got a phone call from Matthew saying he couldn't copy my book because of copyright reasons. Two things: I didn't ask for it to be copied, just hole punched; I also asked for an email not a phone call due to my work schedule. Called back at 3:30pm on Monday to find out Matthew was on a lunch break. Went to Office Depot Monday night and was informed by a respectful female employee that "Matthew" has done this before: when he doesn't want to do the work, he makes up excuses for why he can't. I got a refund and am taking my business elsewhere. As simple as the task was, Matthew wasn't up to the non-existent challenge of removing the spine/binding of my book, 3-hole punching it, and emailing me when it was completed so I could buy a binder to put it in. I needed this book for something and it is quite discouraging that something so simple could not be carried out. Matthew, I suggest another line of work. Your actions and attitude will get you fired if you keep it up. read more

Called main OD customeer service who agreed to exchange unit, but had to pay for second one first. Two months later still waiting for credit to be applied to my account. WOW!! Not surprised to find out that this place has a lot of other horrible reviews!! I rarely feel the need to "yelp" a business, but this one deserves it!!! I was just there needing to have some labels printed out. I have had labels printed there many times before over the past few years. About a year ago they started telling me that I needed to buy the labels first and then they would print my files. I bought the labels that they said I should buy and had a bunch of labels printed on this type of Avery label. Well this time I was told that the labels, which are quite expensive i might add, are not the correct labels for their machines!!! These are the labels that I was told I needed to buy previously. The young man at the copy center referred me to the manager, Brian so that I can talk to him. WEL!! My problem with Brian wasn't so much that he said I couldn't use the labels that I PURCHASED FROM THEM previously to use at the copy center. My problem was with BRIAN'S BAD ATTITUDE!!! And he is the person who is supposed to be setting a good example for his subordinates to follow!!! He was condescending and arrogant and was more interested in telling the giggling little girls up near the checkout his story about me so that when I went up to the front of the store they all stood there grinning ear to ear and thinking the entire incident was a big joke. NICE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! BRIAN!! .... NOT!!!!!! I will NEVER buy from this store ever ever again! and will find the nearest STAPLES who I never have had a problem with. read more
