This store is OK. It's mostly your typical office depot, with lots of supplies, furnishings, electronics, and extra items like snacks, water, and sundries. I usually like to purchase some red ink pens as the store brand are my favorites. Stop by if you'd like to pick up a desk lamp, some legal pads, a pack of dry-erase markers, a twix bar, a container of cleaning spray, a cheesecake factory gift card, or a 24- pack of Office Depot-branded bottled water... in case you really want to show off at work. But I still recommend the red Office Depot-branded ink pens, you can't beat those with a stick! (Actually, you could. But why would you? They're awesome!) read more

I stopped by OfficeMax in Town Center to make some copies and look into faxing documents. Just a heads up--this location is mostly self-service now. If you're planning to print from your phone, you'll need to email your documents to their system rather than sending directly from your device. There are instructions at the print station, but you should expect to handle most of the process on your own. I did ask a few questions at the counter. The associate initially seemed a little short, but became more helpful once I started asking specifics and pointed me in the right direction. One thing to note: faxing is priced per page (I was quoted $2/page), which felt a bit high for me, so I ended up skipping that service. Overall, I was able to get my printing done, but just be prepared for a more DIY experience if you stop in. read more

I needed to send some things back to my company & had a prepaid label that I was told could be scanned & printed in any store that took fedex packages. This store isn't one of them. Not a problem as I'd find one that did. The issue with this store is that they don't have many people to help & the one that did "help" was speaking loudly to me from way behind the shipping desk. I told her I had a label to print and she just pointed and said to use the self service area. That area only had office printers and couldn't scan the code. I asked where to scan & (again, instead of walking up to help me) yelled they couldn't scan codes at their location. Ended up putting back the items I was going to purchase, picked up my box that needed shipped and walked out. When I called the store to see if same-day pickup was possible, I was informed that orders placed after 3:00 PM would not be ready until the next business day. However after speaking with Kim the print manager, she reassured me that she would have the documents ready for pick-up before closing and she did. I truly appreciate Kim's flexibility and the exceptional customer service she provided. Josiah assisted me with the copy services and he assisted me at checkout! The only downside was the manager ( a fair skinned African American woman with braids). She was extremely rude when I asked her about the payment structure for making copies. Josiah is very professional and so kind. I made a purchase and couldn't find the bag with my receipt, thinking that I may have left it at the store! I called later that day and Josiah answered the phone. I told him my dilemma. He explained that he would have to check with the other employees to find out if anyone found my lost items, which he did! He came back the phone and asked for my name and number just in case my purchased items were found and I would be contacted. I provided him with my name and cell #. I did find my items with receipt in the bag! I immediately called this location and let them know and thanked them for their assistance. read more

Store is super clean and super organized. Very Bright. I went in looking for shipping materials. I walked right past them, all the way to the back of the store and as it usually goes, found a sales associate just as I spotted them. Lucky for me the shipping envelopes were on sale about $1 off. Pretty good deal but also what other choice did I have. They offer a very limited variety of shipping envelopes and supplies in general. They do however offer shipping services so you could go that route. I gave this location 3 stars for lack of variety and a terrible, although clean retail floor flow. It was very hard to determine where things were and the signage bleed into the color of the shelves. Lots of white signage, white shelves and white walls. I also rated this location for its lack of sales representatives on the actual retail floor. Prices are as expected. Overall I wouldn't go out of my way to choose this location. read more

Updated review: HIGHLY suggest asking more than one employee for assistance if things aren't adding up. Online was showing what was in stock yet I couldn't find specific product out on the floor. Asked the cashier for assistance & he said "if it was there then it would be there"...how exactly does that help me??? Ordered offline for 1-hour pickup that was completed in less than 15 minutes and the product was magically available. Had a little mishap at the post office and needed to get a copy of my driver's license ASAP. I'll admit, I barely come into here and if so, it's usually just to bschool related materials. When I first came in I saw the sign for print & copy, so I went straight to the line to wait to be assisted. To be 11:20am on Tuesday, they were busy! There had to be at least 4 people at the two counters being helped. After looking around I saw the sign for self service and went right over there. I used the black & white copier, which is 12 cents per page. That isn't bad being that I only had one sheet of paper to copy. I read the instructions they had over the printer/copier and on th touch screen, but I wasn't able to print from 2 sided to 1 sided (so I could get both sides of my drivers license on one sheet). I was confused on how to get it correct since I'm certain I pressed the right buttons, but the nearby employees were too busy and I was on a time crunch. Regardless, I was able to have success my next turn and I ended up printing out 2 sheets of paper. Even better, there were 3 cashiers at the registers! I'm glad they took notice for how busy they were. The cashier I had was very kind and didn't badger me about their rewards program or whatever. My total ended up being 25 cents. read more

A new Office Depot in Town Center... yes please! This is the sleekest full service office supply store that I'm aware of on the Southside and I love it! I specifically came to look for office furniture. Office Max and Office Depot merged a few years back, so if you think it's strange that this new store is located across from an Office Max it's not. That store will close this Fall making way for a Wegmans. The lot is easy to access and I found it tidy. Upon walking in the entry had clumps of dried mud. Not a welcome I was expecting. The store however is bright and impressive. Up front are self serve copy/fax services. You can also rent a PC which is something I've not seen before. The store has pretty much everything you would expect and more. The layout is wide, open and well lit. Copy services are up front. A tech service sets in the middle. I saw a man working on a cell phone. Furniture is in the rear and has the best selection of office chairs in our area. Quality leather chairs run over $500 and I saw one on sale for $379 that I took home. There were lots of staff on the floor which was fantastic! My daughter was with me and had a few interactions with staff asking her if she was finding everything ok. However, not once did I have such an interaction until asking. Checkout was smooth and I used my rewards card for the purchase. I really enjoy browsing at office supply stores, so I will be back and maybe purchase a few other furniture items to complete a remodel of my home office. read more

I needed to print off some presentation papers for a shrine I'm making for my late partner and they refused to laminate my paperwork. Told me it'd be done at the end of the night or tomorrow and it depended on how many people approached the desk. The lady in the purple hair seemed very unserviceable and rude. She refused to give me a timeframe as I had a time limit to get things done and seemed unwilling to help out. Would not recommend. read more

Came here a couple of weeks ago for Printer Ink, only they didn't have any! Not sure why they have not resupplied their Stock, had to order through Staples, and thank goodness I received it the next day. Came in here this morning looking for Envelopes, and found what I was looking for. Went to the Check out, only to see no one was up there, just the Guy working in the Print Shop area. He looked over in my direction a couple of times, but still ignored me! Waited a few minutes, only no one ever came up to the Check Out! Left the Envelopes at the Check Out and went over to Wegmans, and found them for only $2.99! Office Depot wanted to Charge $16.99 for the same amount of Envelopes! There is no excuse for the upcharge like that, nor the lack of Customer Service! Not sure if I will come back into this place again if both Customer Service and the Price Gouging that they are doing! read more

I was making my way to the OfficeMax in the Pembroke shopping center because it's close to my home when I spotted this Office Depot. I'll admit that I was overly excited to see that we live so close to an Office Depot store now so I eagerly made a quick left to check it out. As i walked into this store the first thing that I noticed was how clean, tidy and organized that everything was, which was refreshing from an average department store! Everything seemed to have a designated area and was all labeled very professionally which was quite impressive. This store has really come a long way from what I remember it being! I am giving my experience here only three stars because the staff wasn't friendly. They noticed me but acted as if they didn't so that they didn't have to help me which was incredibly awkward. I was having some issues with the Fax machine as was another gentleman and no one really cared to help us which sort of sucked but with our powers combined we figured it out! You know what they say, teamwork makes the dream work, am i right? :) The girls up front at the counter were friendly but extremely distracted, which I totally get when you work in a retail environment for so long, however, I can see how that would be off-putting to a customer who needs to get in and out quickly. Overall, I would most definitely come back but when I do I will do some research before hand, get everything that I need figured out and find the answers to any questions that I may have in the store, online. Otherwise I may be S.O.L the next time I go in with the expectation of getting help or advice. read more

Town Center/Pembroke area finally has a new Office Depot which is awesome!!! They have a little bit of everything plus more. I was very impressed by their stationary & office supply section. They had the most beautiful sticky notes and pens that I wanted. I think this would be a good spot for kids and parents who are looking for their Office + School needs. read more

WORST SERVICE! This is the 2nd time I have had ATROCIOUS service at this store. I usually go 20 minutes out of my way to the one in Landstown Commons because I can't stand this store. Well the Landstown location's color printer is down so I gave this one another shot. AWFUL EXPERIENCE. I DARED to ask for something resized which didn't happen. The guy at print service showed me an image for 2 seconds and said "Well it can't be 4 X 6 so it will be this instead. Then as I hesitated and was about to ask if they could do something else he walked off and had it printed. When he came back with it I knew it was too small. Because I was already obviously such a problem by asking for him to do his job, I just said I would pay for another copy but please print in the size I asked for. He did and I paid for both copies and left. It wasn't until I got home that I realized I cannot use either copy! The smaller one is too small and the larger one cut the edges off my picture. I KNOW he could have resized it. But that would be far too much to ask. Just asking for help is a 4 letter word in this store. WORST PLACE! You will get treated like trash here. read more

We recently had a custom photo calendar made and ran into trouble with the website not including some of our photos. Kym Bell, who works in the printing department, was a huge help and was even willing to have us e-mail her the missing photos and text, so she could manually enter the information. She was helpful to have it done for a birthday deadline. Kym is very knowledgeable and professional and represents Office Depot well. read more

Not at all pleased with their staff or service. My coworker and I went in to take advantage of their deals on school supplies because my company is doing a back to school drive to donate backpacks and school supplies to children in need. We read all the rules for the number of items allowed and checked the prices so we could purchase the maximum amount of items allowed for the best prices and get the deals. The problem was that when we were rang up, some of the items came up for the wrong price. When we reviewed the receipt and explained this, the manager was rude and first tried to tell us that we didn't understand the rules and limits. When we explained that we read everything carefully and that the sign was clearly labeled for a lower price than we were being charged, the manager checked the display and insinuated that we changed the price tag. When we said we didn't she backed down immediately and said that's not what she meant. After she begrudgingly honored the price advertised, and we paid, we noticed that other items were charged a higher price than clearly advertised on their shelves. We had to then bring the receipt back to the manager to have it corrected. Her attitude was the problem. At one point, she barked into some sort of communication system they have to talk to each other that she, "had a code 3." Here's the deal - product should be marked properly on the shelves, there should be adequate staffing to accommodate peak periods so customers can be assisted effectively and considerately, and staff members should treat customers with respect and courtesy at all times. I don't appreciate being charged almost double in error, having it insinuated that I engaged in some sort of price tag changing scheme, being a "code 3" whatever that is, and having to spend an extra 20 minutes in line getting it all sorted out. I understand that problems and discrepancies can happen, the way the situation is handled when these things arise make the difference. read more
