The carpet was damp so we know they were "cleaned", but the quality of the work was terrible. I ended up having to purchase a handheld carpet and upholstery cleaner to do the stairs, and that little machine (plus about 2.5 hours of effort) did way better than Mr. Vac. Photos in this post is one of the remnant stains after Mr. Vac "cleaning" but before I cleaned the stairs myself. Also pictured is the dirty water reservoir from my machine after cleaning just 3 of the 18 stairs. You'd think after a "professional" job, there wouldn't be this much reserve dirt in the carpet...right? In future we will always recommend against Mr. Vac for carpet cleaning of our homes.

I was having budget concerns during my project with Mcswain builders. The person in charge of the…read morefinances for my job came to home, a guy name Caleb Mikenos. He had spread sheets and invoices that all showed my project would in fact come in under budget. He explained that there were problems with their new software and that some items were in there twice, and some needed to be removed, not to worry. I ended up being over $120,000 over budget. I paid for everything and more. There was also a two month break in the project because Frank Mcswain filed the incorrect permits. He also ordered the wrong windows according to HOA criteria so they had to be removed and replaced. I paid for both sets of windows. I asked if they all open and close properly, SURE SURE. They don't. 3 don't open at all. I was told they are under warranty though, so just schedule some more work. Frank and Caleb lied to me throughout the entire project. I paid way more than the contract price and Mcswain team completed about 80 percent of what they promised. I also heard from some of his subcontractors that they were not being paid. So on one hand Frank Mcswain was charging me extra and on the other not paying the men doing the work.
