So delicious!!! We were searching on Yelp for our last meal in Augustów and saw the high ratings for Ogródek pod Jabłoniami. Yelpers are reliable in Poland! We loved Ogródek pod Jabłoniami. In particular the mousse (Mus z wątróbek) and pork neck (Karkówka) were standouts. Everything was delicious. The restaurant had a steady stream of diners, which is always a good sign. If you have only one night in Augustow, go to this spot for dinner. You won't be disappointed. Beautiful setting, right on the canal, spacious inside and outside, fast service, and -- most importantly-- excellent food. We got the liver mousse, which was off the charts delicious, the karkówka steak (tender, juicy, seasoned to perfection), apple pie (also yum!). Top it off with local liquor shots. Great service and terrific atmosphere. The food was just ok. The zurek was a bit too cold and pizza undercooked.

We've been visiting one our way to Vilnius and found this lovely place. Polish burger and Beef Steak were pretty. Staff was really friendly and polite. Steak could have a been a bit thicker but was fine at all. To find the right way to the restaurant was kind of hard as the place on the map is not really matching: coming from the town centre just take way right from the bridge around the corner and you find the restaurant on the right then :) read more
