This place is HUUUUGE. I can't believe how large of a store it is. I was really excited because of how big it was and I saw a lot of scarves, bags, and accessories that looked like new that were really nice. Turns out, they are new. There is a section in this store that sells new stuff, but it's also at new prices. As I continued perusing, I was a little less enthused just because the things I was interested in were kinda sparse - home goods, dishes, furniture, towels, and used accessories. Otherwise, if you're the type who can do well looking through racks and racks of clothing, this place must be a gem. There was also a sale that day (clothing, furniture at 50% off) otherwise, I would say some of the prices were kind of steep. However, in the misc home goods section, there was stuff there that was def new (prob overstock from stores) that were not bad on pricing. I haven't been here in awhile, but noticed that they remodeled the place (which is spacious and clean). This is a huge thrift shop, besides the Salvation Army in Norwood, this one is great! I like the sales that they have on the weekend. 50 percent off (sometimes) and the pricing is very cheap. read more

Get a donation receipt for tax purposes. I probably drop off items to this location at least half a dozen times a year and this is where they have the offices, employee training and auto auctions so this is a happening place. This is also by far the largest goodwill store in the area. When you drive by, they are constantly having sales (posted on the large signs out front and there are calendars printed up near the register for you to take home with you, plus on their internet site), if not in the entire store, at least in different sections of the store. Believe it or not you get a discount just for being over 50! You would be surprised to see that they sometimes sell new items - okay maybe not that often- and it is the mother lode when putting together pieces for Halloween costumes. We even donated one of cars to them, too!!! read more

This is by far my most favorite thrift store for work clothes. The place is clean and generally the clothing is organized well. The pants are even organized by size! At least the organization is in place in the morning when I go. It's not a department store, part of the fun is the hunt! Tip 1: You can find the sales calendar on their website. Do a quick Google search and you'll find it. Tip 2: If you go on a 50% off sales day. Go early in order to keep your sanity. Tip 3: There are dressing rooms. Use them. If you like the clothing and it seems a little too big, or a little too small just put it in your cart and try it on. Sizing tags don't mean a whole lot in a thrift store. Tip 4: Be sure to drop off a few items while you're here too. Remember, if you haven't worn it in a year you probably won't wear it again! Attention, die-hard Thrifters: this place is a gold mine! I went in on a lazy Wednesday and came out with a armful of goodies... 5 designer skirts for 99 cents a pc. (like what?), current bestseller books for 50 cents a pc., and a hat and glove set for my little one that was 50 cents as well! The only drawback is that its huge... This isn't the bad part - IT'S HIGHLY UNORGANIZED!!! Even with that, a find like a Calvin Klein skirt for the price of a mickey dee's value fry, you can't beat that with a stick! read more

Located down the street from Glenwood Gardens, this Goodwill location is bigger and better than the other locations I have been to. Always a busy store. They seem to have a wide assortment of sizes in mens, women's, and children's clothing. Lots of clothing turnover. Every time I go, there lots of different items. People seem to snatch up bake ware. The toy section has a tendency to be used as a drop off area for kids while their parents shop. It can hard to navigate through all the toys on the ground when looking in children's clothing. It's also hard to tell if a child is playing with the toys or if they are actually going to buy them. Make sure to check the calendar online for deals of the day. I'm not sure where they are held, but they also have bulk clothing and auto auctions. Lots of parking in their own private lot. The lot can be a little tricky to get out of. No left turns. If you want to go left it seems to be easier to go out the back and go around. Follow the signs to the side to make donations. read more

This is the biggest, cleanest, and best-organized Goodwill I've ever been to! The only downside is that they sometimes don't have enough people working the cash registers (especially on sale days). But, if you're able to just be patient while checking out, it's definitely worth a stop! read more

When it comes to Big Box thriftstores this one takes the cake. It is huge and has a wide selection of used and new items. It appears that this Goodwill has some sort of arrangement with Target as they often have their surplus and returned merchandise. As all thrift stores plan on spending some time looking for what you want ( I always go into thrift stores with no expectations) as its organization method is not parallel as mens pants are organized by waist size yet t-shirts are organized by color. I have been coming to this store since I was a young child, and have purchased many of great items here. read more

I shop at this store regularly and consider it pretty much the Holy Grail of thrift shopping. Careful searching will often yield the kind of women's clothing sold at places like Dillard's and Macy's for a typical price of $4 or $5. Everything is always freshly laundered (which also provides jobs for the disabled). The store is well-organized, well-lighted and has wide aisles. read more

I realize that it's goodwill, and I don't patron this establishment with exceedingly high expectations, but nevertheless, I seem to be disappointed every time I shop there. Don't get me wrong, the selection and prices are good, and they run all kinds of sales on almost every item in the store. My complaint lies in the shopping experience. The bathrooms are almost always deplorable, to the point where I question whether or not I will contract some illness if I were to use them. Also, courteous and helpful are not adjectives I would use to describe the staff. I surmise that the employee training program teaches their staff to hide any semblance of personality. In a hurry? Good luck checking out in under 15 minutes, no matter the amount of items you are trying to purchase. read more

This place is great for clothing and furniture/home goods, but the book selection is just terrible. I can't let that count against it, though. I've found some amazing stuff here. I'd recommend checking out the art section. They've got mostly motel art and cheap prints, but I've found a few really cool amateur paintings. Oh, and if you need fishing shoes, this is the place for you. read more

Very massive Goodwill store. Mostly for clothes. They usually have 50% off sale friday for clothing and half off everything saturday. But they do switch it around every now and then by saying only certain items are in the sale. So do take special attention to that. And keep a store calendar that they have at the registers so you know when its best to go :) Very well organized so it isnt too painful. Ive gotten great jewelry pieces there as well. read more

I don't usually say this about thrift store, but this one is nice! and huge!!!! neatly arranged so you can find what you want and/or need. Bonus, in the back there is a section with returned or surplus goods, so you can get new merchandise super cheap. If you need a t-shirt of a certain color, or a board game for a family night, this is your destination.. read more

I love me a thrift shop. And this shop is huge. But what I'm not a fan of are the prices. I wasn't really looking for clothes so as I breezed by the racks and racks of clothing (they do get points for sheer quantitiy of things), I noticed prices seemed a little high. The children's book selection was small and pricy compared to other thrift stores I've frequented in the area (Valley Thrift, St Paul's). Also, their odds and ends shelves...well there weren't a lot of them and again things seemed pricy. Several times I would pick up something, think, 'ooo, I want this...' then look at the price and put it back. I just seemed everything was like $3-5 more than I wanted to pay. I do get that they help people out and shopping here is investing in the people who work here...so thank you. But I think I'll wait for a sale day, which happens frequently judging by the big electronic sign they display out on Springfield Pike. read more
