This place is so cool! It's in the middle of a nusery and there are cool leather chairs. We came…read moreover around 10am on Saturday and it was half empty. There are more people waiting in the waiting area when we leave around 11:15. Staffs were nice and they tolerate our broken Spanish. Our friend who speak fluent Spanish saved our asses though cause she needed to repeat our orders 90% of the time haha. Once in a while there are some filies trying to get our food. The waitress sprayed some lime water on the walkway and I think that was to get the flies away. We got the papaya milk shake kinda drink. It was not too sweet and it was delicious. Our friend got orange juice and orange mint juice. The orange here is more yellow than US so when those drinks came up, we were not sure if they were our juice haha. I got omelette San Agustin with panela cheese. It's got zucchini and bell pepper inside the omelette. And a side of refried beans. James got fried quesadilla with beef. It's a little too much fried quesadilla and not enough filling though. We also have omelette Mixto, which has panela cheese, bell pepper and mushroom. All the guys got extra stuffs like bacon and ham. So the portion of the dish are not that big. Overall, the food is a ok. The good thing is the environment. We walked around the nursery afterwards so that's nice.

It's nice inside the restaurant but the light is very dim. You might need flash light to read your menu. Our server was an older gentleman. He took our drinks order very quickly. He speaks a little bit of English so that helped a bit. However there's no English menu so we still need our Spanish speaking friend to help us understand the menu. I ordered the eggplant parmesan appetizer, the beef tartare (chopped beef with mustard and some other seasonings). James ordered the surf and turf pasta. Our friends ordered a variety of dishes such as pizza, mushroom pasta, tuna salad, asparagus appetizer. Overall I feel like the dishes were all on the salty side. The tomato sauce in the eggplant parmesan was a little too salty to my taste. I finished the dish because I love eggplant and parmesan. The beef tartare had a lot of flavors in it. It's very similar to the tuna tataki except that you can taste more of the meat flavors in the beef. I am not a bug mustard fan so it's not a dish I would get again. I tried my friend's tuna in his tuna salad. It was a little too salty to both my friend and me. I tried Jame's shrimp from his surf and turf. The shrimp was also a little too salty to me. If you prefer stronger salt flavors then this restaurant is for you. The service is good. Our server didn't server our entrée until people who ordered appetizer finished their appetizer. So let the server knows if you want all the food come up together. With our group of 9, around 15% tips was included in our bill. Parking was in the parking garage. It's pretty easy.

Freshly made tortillas, fresh fruit, pan dulce, stewed chicken, stewed pork, stewed tongue(if that's your 'thing') and omelettes. They even had a huitlacoche quesadilla on request. This delicacy was new to me and very delicious. The service was actually pretty great for Guadalajara. The young server was on his toes keeping the coffee refilled and the plates cleared.

It's really cute, the wifi is strong, def a little pricey but still in reasonable territory, and there's a lot of seating. Line can get long at times though, and there's only one bathroom (afaik). Some stuff I've tried has been great: the rol de canela was fab, I enjoyed the karamelito de cacao, and the bagel was serviceable. On the other hand, I was really underwhelmed with the loaf of bread I got (rosemary and olive) and I distinctly disliked the white chocolate cookie (sooo dry and hard). I was also unimpressed with the orejita. Coffee is meh, didn't wow me but it's certainly not bad. I'll probably keep going back because it's a cute space and a nice place to work remotely (when you don't have meetings because it gets noisy) but I really think the reviews are overhyping the pastries.
