This company put a broken mirror on my truck that did not even have a puddle light and a turn signal arrow. We had talked about that once or twice so they knew I wanted a mirror like that. Didn't matter if it was used or new. What kind of company puts a mirror with a big giant crack in it back on a vehicle? It gets worse. The owner was about half smart elic and rude when asked about the mirror and didn't offer to fix it. They also put screws to hold down my driver's window piece. Broke my door handle and had to put a new one on. I have been a loyal customer for several years.They also knew my son had a heart condition and I needed the truck to be good to drive in high traffic areas. With a broken mirror it'll definitely be harder. This place does not care about its customers look elsewhere.

Because I needed struts and shocks all around then I had them install new high Performance Monroe struts and shocks.again very nice and friendly. Now I know why. They did halfway. The rear springs both sides were cut with a torch! And the struts were not new. No wonder they were so nice. But I was going to call them to schedule another oil change. They never called me back or responded to my messages. Because I without realizing what they did. Found out 1 1/2 later. So just case any mechanic is extra nice and friendly. Turley's Transmission was the ONLY place that would, not only bring us in on short notice but, also considered our accommodation situation...we were living in it! Danny is a man of integrity, honesty, and compassion. He showed us broken parts and explained everything to us step by step. He had us ready to go in a few days. We appreciated Danny, Darrell, and the local guys so much that we decided to stay a few more days after that! We were actually sad to be leaving. While traveling thru West Virginia we encountered Danny Turley with a transmission problem. We had our car towed in on Tuesday. Danny said he may get to it next week, very busy. Turns out Danny started working late on our vehicle on Wednesday and Thursday the week we arrived. By Friday morning he said he would probably have us back on the road by Friday evening. When we test drove on Friday afternoon there was still a bit of a problem. He stayed until late Friday, and most of Saturday to get us going. He may not do that heroic kind of thing again but my guess is you will be real happy with your experience at Turleys. Danny is a great person and strives to do a great service for his customers. Can't recommend his shop highly enough. Not sure I will be able to take a vehicle to him again, I live 2500 miles away, but maybe, just maybe.

Before my brother made it from the driver's seat to check out the wheel, I Googled garages and was talking to the folks at Eddie's. They took us in immediately, fixed the wheel and had us back on the road before most places are even open! This all happened between about 10 and 11am. Boyd Co. Ford screwed up the brake installation and the crew at Eddie's fixed their mistake. A mistake that could've been deadly. (Thanks again, for your consistently crappy work, BCF!!) The owners entertained us with jokes and stories and kept us company the entire time. The cost was way less than we anticipated too. I would HIGHLY recommend Eddie's. The crew at Eddie's is one of the dirtiest I have ever had the unfortunate event of encountering, and doing business with, in my 12 years in Morehead. I took my car in to have it looked at. I knew I needed my motor mount replaced, and took the mount in with me. I was charged a ridiculous amount comparitively to other places I had checked with, but I had been told they were good and worth it. When I picked up my car, they told me I needed another part, so I reluctantly bought this part as well and allowed them to continue their work. Upon picking my car up the second time, they then inform me that my car needed another motor mount and all new belts. With this one, I refused. Every time I went in, they told me they knew what was wrong and could fix it, but would only return with more repairs that they had 'just found' which tells me that they didn't thoroughly check the car as I had asked of them to begin with. My suggestion...go next door! Better work at a much better price! Additionally, seeing as it is a college town with a very diverse ethnic group, I feel responsible to inform the people of my community that you are inadvertently supporting one of the most racist people I have encountered in my years in Morehead. Upon conversing with the OWNER in my numerous trips to his facility, he spoke not so kindly of other races - common racial slurs included - and that was my final straw. I was informed of his own grandchild's interracial relationship, as well as his unwillingness to have any further communication with her due to said relationship! People should know who and what they are giving their money to!
