Donald Davidson of Ojai Rain Gutters is an expert installer, but in addition to that , he is also kind, professional and punctual. Donald did a FANTASTIC job installing our rain gutters, down spouts and mesh leaf guards. We had an initial meeting at the house and Donald was right on time, which is ALWAYS a good sign. He completely understood what we wanted (re: style/color) and he had a quote out to us the very same day. Although his calendar was packed, he let us know that he could fit our job in three weeks out and he held true to his word. On install day Donald arrived at 7:30am and completed the install in the exact time that he had estimated. It was a seamless experience from start to finish. What I respected was his professionalism. Materials were delayed for the job, which happens all the time, he called and let me know ahead of time and rescheduled the work. We've done a lot of work at our house over the last 5 years - remodel of the house, the garage, full landscaping. We've worked with lots of contractors and businesses through that time and learned a lot. Most of the time we were very happy with the work and we're very happy with our house, but unfortunately we hired the wrong people to do our gutters. It was such a small part of the overall picture here that I didn't take time to find someone great and get multiple bids like I normally do, I just went for the first person to answer an email. They did a really second-rate job and we had a persistent issue with one of the gutters that this other vendor refused to fix. That's the bad part. The happy ending to this is Donald. He came over, saw immediately what was wrong, fixed it and charged a fair price. He was communicative over the phone/text and easy to talk to in person. we got an estimate for gutters from Ojai Raingutters (Donald Davidson Construction) a few months ago. when we called to schedule, the company wasn't able to get the materials from any of their vendors.( We wanted green.) So just when I was going to call again to see if the material was available, Donald called us to say the green was now available!!! We scheduled the job within a couple of days and he came on time and was finished early. The job looks great! Interviewed a few contractors that were available. Most were not even giving estimates as they were booked up to three months out. I had several properties that needed either repairs or full blown gutter installations needed. Of the three that I received Donald was, by far, the best price estimate. His timeline was the most workable with my schedule. After his work was completed I visited each property before payment. I was very pleased with the outcome. He did a fantastic job in matching the color of the gutters to the color scheme of the houses. His installs were looking snug against the fascia boards and the contour of the houses so it looks very clean. After the one hard rain that we had subsequently to his job they all performed as expected. No complaints from anyone. He was quick to complete the work within the timeframe that he quoted and he left the jobsite clean. In working with him I learned that he is a general contractor and have referred him to a few other people looking for new roofs, kitchens and foundations. read more

He texted me saying he was on his way the day of the appointment and showed up ON TIME. He was extremely fair in his pricing estimate and offered several options to get the job done right.
