Hello and thank you for taking the time to respond. However I have some responses to your view of our community project that you have been working on for almost 1 and a 1/2 years now and have finished only 2 buildings out of the 10. It is true that our management company and hoa board of directors have a majority of the responsibility to oversee the project. They DON'T CARE. I REPEAT, THEY DON'T CARE and they're ignorant. And they overlooked what should have been a community wide vote by homeowners to paint. My wish is that somehow your company or you, would have some courtesy and common sense to know that most people don't like waking up to creaking ladders and banging tools near the windows where they are sleeping at 7am. (That by the way, used to be 8am before I wrote the first review.) 7 or 8, it's still unreasonable to me. Or maybe I'm just tired of the constant noise pollution that your company has contributed to for at least 4 long years in the same areas. But why is 3pm a reasonable time to stop working? That hasn't changed. More often than not, these projects last for weeks and not days. It's noise nuisance! And while having a toilet for your workers may be convenient, it has been here for almost two years along with your giant storage bin and man lift and sometimes a huge dumpster. This is a violation of our CC&R's. You have these utilities stored at our front entrance and next to our community sign. Tacky!!! Would you like a toilet in front of your house? By the way, Cal/OSHA does not mandate tool storage sheds, and toilets would only be mandatory if your employees were more than 5, and didn't have transportation to work which they do. So in this case, driving to fast food or gas stations is the reasonable option for 2 employees that often come and go all day long anyway. Perhaps you could make some suggestions to help us out or put more workers on to complete a project in weeks and not months? You're dragging it out. Two workers to tear down wood siding on an entire building of 14 units and replace it? Does that sound reasonable? Did you know that these people may not be using your services for very much longer because they ran out of money and can't afford to? At least that's what was said in a homeowner meeting. Why not try to help the situation instead of making it worse? Or how about making a suggestion for the paint job that you're doing on our "factory painted" garage doors that it's just not necessary. And why not suggest to a cash strapped HOA to use only 2 colors and not 3!!! That alone would save us money and keep your people working by being able to finish this community and being able to afford it. Those garage doors were factory painted a nice light almond color when we were forced to buy them 15 years ago and they look great! They will outlast your paint job that was hastily painted on them and by that I mean unsanded and only guaranteed for two years not to mention dark blue on a garage door! You ruined our warranty! So, why not make helpful suggestions to people that obviously don't know anything about budgeting and painting? Is your financial situation worth so much more than your moral obligation as a business contractor? Is common sense left out of the equation where money is your deciding factor? Our community obviously has money issues and you are not helping it by painting over factory painted aluminum garage doors. I wish someone from Austin's Painting would have shown us some common sense and courtesy when agreeing to paint our community using 3 colors instead of just 2. I understand that although you make money off of our stupidity ( the HOA and management company), by not mentioning that painting over factory painted garage doors was not only not necessary, not cost effective and overall reckless and killed our warranty, you also lost a lot of respect as a painting contractor. Our community understands this and it's not going unnoticed. For that reason I consider you a mediocre business person that only cares about themselves and not the people they serve in their community as a whole. read more

We had a HOA paint job to bid, Austin's original bid was $180K. Halfway through the job he's revised that to $600K total and doubled every resident in the HOA's dues. I understand things change and change orders happen, but missing the mark by 2/3rd is malpractice. Think twice before you hire this hack. read more

Austin's Painting provides great service and incredible value! I recently had my interior home painted in Newberry Park. All of their estimators were extremely knowledgeable with color choices and materials at hand. Once the painting crews arrived they were courteous ,clean and efficient. Their prices were extremely competitive however they gave the best warranty, which ultimately was why I made my decision to give them my business . We hired Austin's Painting for a series of projects on our house in Ventura. They replaced all the old termite-damaged wood siding with fire-resistant fiber-cement siding, repaired all the old and damaged wood rafters and fascia boards around the house, painted the entire outside of the house and pergola, repaired internal drywall damage, and painted the entire inside of the house. They did an outstanding job in everything aspect of the project. Their lead workers (Bino, Oscar, Tony, and Alfredo) were true professionals with upbeat personalities and perfectionism, as were the various workers they supervised. They were respectful of our family and pets, were never loud, didn't smoke, and genuinely enjoyed what they were doing. They were patient with us as we struggled to decide on paint colors for all the various rooms, even providing advice if/when we asked for it. We've received numerous compliments about the job they did. We'd recommend them to anyone. read more

These guys are the best. Totally professional, friendly and meticulous. I couldn't be happier. I would recommend them in a heartbeat. They never gave me an attitude even when I had to ask them to do things over that were my own fault ( I ended up not liking the color I had chosen for the trim, and they were so patient and accommodating). I wish I could say I had the same experience as John R. Austin's painting crew got paint everywhere. Painted over light fixtures. Left trash , such as tape roll cardboard and masking paper in my planters. I picked up trash every day they were here. Also left the hose running water after they left. Not cool in our water crisis. I work from home and had to ask the crew a couple times to turn down blaring Mexican Music. Austin's painting crew needs to learn to use the same Professionalism, whether on Custom homes, Condominiums or Apartments. The crew did come back and clean up "MOST" of the paint on concrete. Not all of mind you. Very disappointing I had to call and ask them to remove the paint in the first place. Quality control needs huge improvements. read more
