Heartbroken by the lack of care and customer service I have been a loyal customer here for a long time, choosing to support this local business "no matter what." Unfortunately, that ended today. I brought in a brand-new silk scarf from a local boutique. I specifically asked if they could handle the delicate material and was told yes. The service cost $60--more than I even paid for the item on sale--but I was happy to pay for professional work. When I picked it up, the silk was ruined; it "clumps" and no longer drapes. When I returned to ask for help, the owner was dismissive, put the item directly under a steamer without a protective cloth, and when I asked for a partial refund or discount due to the damage, he told me: "Not my problem." As someone dealing with a recent chronic diagnosis, this scarf was a rare treat for myself. To be treated with such zero empathy and zero accountability is unacceptable and, just sad. read more

I dropped off a dress last week. Asked what the price would be. The gentleman told me $17. Picked up today he rang me up for $23. When I told him what he quoted me last week, he began to argue with me and said other dry cleaners in the area would charge $27. I'm not concreted about the $6, but I was quite taken back and the gentleman's response and how he was yelling at me and wanting to argue. I'll pay $27 at other cleaners from now on. read more

This past Wednesday my son came home from the Grand Rapids area to fly out to Florida for an interview for medical school (the next morning, of course). After taking out his suit and dress shirt I realized that he had to have his dress shirt washed and pressed, ASAP. I called OK Cleaners at 1:45 p.m. and told them about my sons dilemma and he said to bring it in right away and the shirt would be laundered and pressed by 6:00 p.m., that same day! And it was! I will never go there again! I have taken laundry there for a few years. This last time, I picked up 15 shirts. When I got home, I realized one of my shirts had a spot on it. I took it back to the cleaners and the elderly gentleman told me it was not his fault. I finally convinced him to re-clean the shirt ( I also left another 16 shirts and 4 pieces of dry cleaning). When I came back to pick up my laundry, this same man started yelling at me about the shirt saying he wouldn't do my laundry anymore. Really? Seemed kind of crazy to me.
