They do tend to be in fairly similar sorts of areas so I guess the customer here is expecting the same sort of stock. It's classic elegant and simple - in the right way. They do quite a big range of Habitat-esque products but for a slightly more up market and in the IKEA, disposable furniture ago, these items are built to last. Oka doesn't do the throwaway lamp or binable lamp stand. You know that magazine Country Living? I bet the editors there would like Oka products. I would imagine they patronize the same church with its soft beige pews, sparkling crystal glass of designer blood and gently upholstered priest with elegant detailing on the arms. It's up market and expensive and not totally to my taste but it's quality and it's very hard to find fault with anything.

Planned delivery was late one item was faulty and one item missing. OKA customer service not able to do anything apart from sympathise . I see from other comments that many customers have had the same issues - why is a company offering luxury products using such a rubbish delivery service - is your profit margin so narrow that you can't use a more effective courier!

As examples, they sell balloon cars and different types of whistles; they sell Japanese gardening boots; they sell razors, chisels, and knives; and they sell carbon-steel and cast-iron cookware, among many other things. My partner is a marine biologist, and I bought her a Kujira Sperm Whale knife, which blacksmith Toru Yamashita made with no points so kids can safely sharpen pencils. The store itself is also minimal and clean; the staff, very helpful. I missed it a few times when I first started exploring Oxford because I went down Market Street to duck into The Covered Market. Objects of Use is just a bit past the Market Street entrances of The Covered Market if one approaches from Cornmarket Street. This is the only location, which surprised me, as a number of stores, restaurants, and cafes in Oxford are satellites of larger enterprises in London. This really is a type of store one would expect to find in London or New York, and yet the only one is right here in Oxford.

Very helpful pleasant and knowledgable
