I took it back and Lori(?) dealt with it without a hint of despair. This was the last sweater in my size so she sent it to their tailor to have it repaired. Once repaired it came apart again. The Elliot Row staff looked closer at it discovered it was a design flaw with that particular sweater. They immediately offered to replace it for equal value for any item(s) in store. The staff was/are professional in every way. Their product knowledge, selection and service level are high. I will shop there for the foreseeable future. Support local business, shop online. Thanks.

The owner (lady) makes the arrangement to send me a belt for my son ASAP because of his concert in 5 days. She asks for the numbers on the back, I ask my son to relay them to me as I am out of town, he gave the wrong ones, or didn't look, typical teen, now she says there is to much confusion and will not honour the agreement she made, and to do now what she wants my son will not have the belt as promised by her, if she had said this a week and half ago we might have had a chance to correct it before his concert. She has no ethics, the salesman pass the buck, and she speaks with a forked tongue.

Most of the sales staff are very friendly and helpful but there is one guy who acts like a used car sales man. He constantly tries to push me to buy things I don't want and has a fake kind of friendliness. Their prices are much higher than what I normally pay at boutiques in the United States. I asked them why their prices are so much higher despite the current exchange rate and he got annoyed. He arrogantly denied that his prices were higher than the US and said that all Hugo Boss boutiques are required to have the exact same prices world-wide. I told him I could prove otherwise with receipts that I have from the US and various approved websites. He was quick to interrupt me and then say that he has been all around the world and that Canada has cheaper prices on Hugo Boss than most other places. For example, he said in Europe, they are far more expensive. I agree that the prices can be higher in Europe BUT he had just said a few minutes prior that all Hugo Boss boutiques are required to have the same prices world-wide...lol. On 2 different occasions, I asked them to order me something from the official Hugo Boss website. They told me that they don't do custom orders and only have what is in the store. LAZY! Lately, I have been going to the US and buying a years worth of clothing all at once. With the money I save, the trip always pays for itself.

She had explained she had to enter it manually as they were a franchise and not a Corporate Store. No problem I said and was happy I could finally use my card. A few days later I went back to the store to make another purchase. When I went to pay I handed the cashier my Triangle card (the same cashier I had day previously) she looked right at me and said we don't take those. We are a Franchise store and not a corporate store. I said oh you just did it for me the other day. You had to enter it manually. She never said another word to me and would not make eye contact with me. When she was finished with my transaction she just shoved my stuff into a bag and then shoved it at me without a word. The cashier working beside her knew she was lying and never said a word. My husband just went back in the Penticton store to do a return and spoke to the assistant manager about this situation. All she could do was make up excuses and had no answer as to why the cashier would lie to a customer. My husband had the receipt with the triangle promotion on it and the other without. Lost our business for sure!!! Not the only store in this town that has lost our business. You people really must spend some money on training your staff. If your going to offer something to your customers you really should honor it.

I've never had to argue with two people to take my money before; very strange experience. Then the cashier pulls a fast one and tells me the lesser refund can only be in store gift cards. That's a mistake buddy. So I've found every website I can and posted this review, I then I printed a more detailed version and posted it on ALL the student boards at Okanagan College (trade school). It had everything in it- passport, Id, wallet, money etc. Someone had found it on the beach and taken it to Freeride, who then turned it into the police, and even tracked me down on Facebook in order to contact my employer to contact me so I'd know to go to police. I had to do extra work to find out who freerides was as they hadn't left contact info to take credit for their amazingly generous efforts on my behalf. Of course, visiting their store after this I was very delighted to have an excuse to purchase truly chic high quality shoes, bikini, and T-shirt. Would definitely recommend stopping in to see the great merchandise and staff if you get a chance!
