Der Mitarbeiter hatte kurze braune Haare und ein Ohrring. Ich (12 Jahre alt) und mein Freund (11 Jahre alt) fragten ihn was passiert und antwortete nicht und zwang mich und mein Freund die Taschen aufzumachen. Wir sagten wir haben nichts genommen und öffneten unsere Taschen. Der Mittarbeiter fand nichts und sagte wir sollen weiter gehen, DOCH er stoppte mich wieder und kontrolierte meine Hosentaschen. Er schubste auch meine 10 jährige schwester weg als ich mich fangen wollte. Dann lies endlich er uns gehen und sagte kein entschuldigung und ging weg. WARUM NIMMT IHR AGRESSIVER IN EUREM GESCHÄFT?! (Everything in Vienna is closed by 8pm). Prices are as you'd expect: slightly elevated because of importation. But a good range of stuff that will keep you happy until you can next get back to Old Blighty or the US and stock up. They also sell Austrian groceries as well. Located inside Westbahnhof Ubahn station, in the main concourse at the bottom of the escalators for the U6 line.

Thank goodness the Pronto was open, and had such amazing assortment for such a small space. The quality and cleanliness was much appreciated. One section has the grab-and-go goods like sandwiches, beer, water, as well as the prepared foods counter. The other side is more groceries (meat, eggs, ice cream, etc). It's a little inconvenient as you have to line up, pay, walk to the other side, line up and pay again. But I can see given the location why theft is an issue.

I was a bit confused about the barricades they put up at random. seems it has to do with some law about having too many customers in a shopping space and thus considering it as "two" markets by dividing it? not the store's fault - as usual, it's unnecessary government interference - but just be warned if you go at peak times (late nights) that it may be tough if you need items strewn about the store. plenty of grab-and-go options (sandwiches, salads, pre-made meals) that looked pretty good, as well as a deli and small bakery. there's a much larger Interspar further in Wien Hauptbahnhof, as well as even cheaper options down Favoritenstrasse - but if time and convenience are needed then the Pronto is worth a stop.
