I have been an OCCU member for several years. Thanks to Covid, my branch is temporarily closed, so when I had a banking need I opted to visit location. First thing you notice as you come into the facility is a security guard right inside. A line of offices down the left side and at the back is the tellers. Everybody working there was very friendly and very easy to work with. I worked with Sal Paredes and I would 100% recommend him if you have any banking work. I visited with Sal several different days and he always made time to meet with me. I am very impressed with this location and can see myself returning as needed. read more

I spoke with Sal Perendez about a small consolidation loan. I was very clear about my sources of income. He said it looked like no problem. Good credit, good payment history, good income. He clearly stated that he would call me back by the end of the day. Two days later, I still hadn't heard from him. When I called back, I was told that the loan application was switched to somebody else. They wound up denying me because they did not consider my substitute teaching income as valid! I've been a substitute teacher for Tulsa Public Schools for over five years. Pathetic, Oklahoma Central Credit Union! Discriminating against public school teachers! Pathetic! If you are a teacher, go somewhere else! If you respect teachers, go somewhere else! I posted a similar review on another site. The institution wrote back to me saying that they were very sorry and that if I would contact this email, they gave me an email to contact, that someone would reach out to me to discuss a solution. NEVER HEARD FROM A SINGLE SOUL! I wonder if this is a regular occurrence????? someone posts a poor review.... And the business states that they will reach out to correct the situation..... but never do?????? I just wonder how often that happens??? Go somewhere else folks. read more

We have been OCCU members for over 40 years. Recently we worked with Makenzie Butler from the loan department, and in the process of purchasing a vehicle out of state, she noticed a critical piece of information was missing and notified us. We were able to discontinue the process and felt that Makenzie went above and beyond in her commitment to us as members. She went through the whole process with knowledge and was very professional. If your looking for the worst financial institution in the USA, congratulations you have found it. We have had a loan here fore a little over 5 years, and man, has it been a rocky 5 years. They require a membership with the loan that requires a savings account to avoid extra fees, which is total B.S. We were told that they didn't have auto drafting so we had to mail a check. All was well for about for about a year. Then they quit receiving payments by mail. So, then I get smart a start to send the payments by certified return receipt mail, just to make sure they receive them. Then all the sudden they start receiving them again on time. Then in another six months, they quit receiving the payments after signing for them. Of course, I get an excuse of we must have misplaced the check, then told to send another check, without a late fee being charged to the loan. So, I send another payment. After they sign for the new check they miraculously find the other one and deposit them on the same day, now I have a double payment taken out of my account. So, now I am on the phone again trying to get this straightened out with Oklahoma Financial & and having to cancel the double payment check from another financial institution that I wrote it from. All this time from year one, I try to see if auto payments are able to be set up yet, still the answer is no.. This goes on for the remainder of the loan. Here's the kicker, there is 2 months left on my loan, I am still dealing with these payment issues, I finally get a bank manager to talk to me, he states that he can set me up on auto draft, I asked "Oh, you finally got auto draft?" He states "We have always had it." Then he emails me the form. Lmfao right? Well after the loan is paid in full and closed he states that he would close the savings account and mail the check from that account. Did that happen? What do you think? NOPE! So, here I am again calling emailing and trying to get my money back. After over 2 months after I have my account paid in full and savings account charged monthly fee's, I am told the check is in the mail. Fingers crossed!! read more
