The two main CHARACTERS - Darlene and Debbie - were like having two sisters who were also trusted advisors willing to impart their years of wisdom and experience. They even "held my hand" during those times when it became a little too scary or sad on the SET. Hiring Clutter Busters for this job of clearing out my family member's house was a very bold risk for me because it required a very high-level of trust on my part as well as theirs. There was no "micro-managing" on my part, and they worked very independently (and skillfully). I basically turned the PRODUCTION over to Clutter Busters and was given the opportunity to make brief (as in 30-minute) CAMEO APPEARANCES on a frequent basis when asked to do so. In my role as a WALK-ON, I toured the SET to see progress that had been made and was asked for my input on how they would like to proceed with the next steps in the decluttering process. Like skilled PERFORMERS who are outstanding at memorizing their LINES and taking DIRECTION, I was completely blown away at how they followed my directions "to the letter" and were mindful and watchful for PROPS (e.g., treasures and family heirlooms) that I had described to them that I wanted to keep. Like good CREATIVES, they also were not afraid to use their brains and "think outside the box". Darlene and Debbie kept a caring and watchful "eye" for some things of value that I would perhaps want to keep due to either the value (e.g., antique Fostoria pitcher) OR very select pieces of furniture (e.g., the two chairs that were in great condition) that could be utilized and appreciated by my dear loved one who had moved and was no longer living in the house. To be clear, these were not items that I had mentioned to THEM; rather, these were items that THEY noticed and pointed out to ME. Very thoughtful! I was further impressed with their NETWORKS. Darlene is very well-connected to many worthwhile non-profit organizations that take donations and, in my case, even found one that was willing to pay ME for the items remaining in the residence after the cleanout (instead of me paying them which happens more often). This fact, combined with her professional organizing skills, permitted a 3-step process that was followed room by room. Clutter Busters decluttered, then I reviewed what needed to be set aside for me to keep, then the non-profit would remove whatever was left. Since Clutter Busters has been in business for nearly a quarter-century, combined with their knowledge of professional organizing, you can expect to pay a little more for their services; HOWEVER, they are NOT a junk hauling company (which has its own equally valid and unique business niche to fill). Over the course of several years, I had issues with the drain clogging periodically but couldn't ever figure out why. This year, my significant other and I had a different company scope the drain with a camera in the hopes of getting to the root cause of our repeated clogs. We discovered that the work Red Plains did in 2019 involved REDUCING the diameter of the drain by one inch. Plumbing 101: Drains are only supposed to get bigger as they progress away from a building to the sewer main. We calmly contacted Red Plains to see what, if anything, they could do. They said the worker who did the original work was no longer with the company and also that they couldn't guarantee work done so long ago. Ultimately, they offered no kind of recourse for us and did nothing to fix the problem they created. We had to hire a different company to repipe the drain from the reduced section all the way back to the house, about $6,500. None of this would've happened if Red Plains would've done the job right in the first place OR remediated their original "mistake", which is actually more like plumbing malpractice. Do not trust this company.

Some guys from Red Plains Plumbing came out to clear a slow washer drain but they just managed to…read moreget their snake stuck in my washer standpipe. Instead of apologizing and figuring out how to fix it, they claimed that this happened because of my drain and they would have to go straight to digging up the sewer line for $7,000 to $10,000! I told them I would not be doing that and asked for other options so they said a supervisor would call me back and left, abandoning their snake in my drain which was now completely clogged and backed up into my washer and kitchen sink... Fast forward through a couple of days of frantic calls to Red Plains which they didn't even bother returning and I called another plumber for emergency service. They were NOT complimentary and let me know the snake should not have been put through the washer standpipe and its four 90 degree turns, should never have been forced in until it knotted up, and after they removed it that Red Plains had used the wrong kind of head on the snake which was broken off inside the drain! What was just a slow drain was now a serious issue and I had spent over $700 but was much worse off than I started! I want to support small businesses like Red Plains because they're supposed to care more about their customers. Unfortunately with Red Plains, they weren't able to provide the resources, professionalism, and knowledge that a larger company would. Their office manager called and tried to help figure out a way forward but must have been overruled because a return visit to fix the problem lasted less than 15 minutes and Red Plains sent me an email saying there was nothing they could do. When I tried to find out what happened (again leaving many messages with no return calls) they just told me I should go with another plumber! Following their advice, I called a larger, more reputable company and what a difference it made! In less than the time it took Red Plains to get their snake stuck and block up my drain, the experienced plumbers found exactly where the head of the snake was lodged in the Y with a nearby floor drain, sent a camera down the floor drain to look at what it would take to remove the stoppage, and cleared the stoppage through a nearby cleanout that the Red Plains plumbers had just ignored! Instead of defaulting to the most destructive (and expensive) option, the new plumber had the tools and experience to correctly diagnose the problem and figure out a way to fix it where Red Plains couldn't. To cap it all off, Red Plains flatly refused to refund the charges for their "drain cleaning" which started this mess (be careful with all the fine print they put in their invoices which make you wave their liability for damages they do) so this was a costly lesson for me. In the end, what it comes down to is that you want to work with a company who will do what they say they will and help you even after they make a mistake. Based on what happened to me, I want to warn everyone that company is not Red Plains Plumbing. If you're considering hiring them then I hope the same thing doesn't happen to you too!

This funeral home cremated all of my father's clothing after telling our family SEVERAL times that no clothing would be burned. With the clothing was a customized leather biker vest that was beyond sentimental not only to my father but our entire family. The pain of losing this vest, essentially the only thing we had left of my dad, has been beyond traumatic. On top of all of this, to add insult to injury they waited multiple days before informing my grieving mother that they had burned the one thing she specifically asked them to make sure she got back. My mother also explained to them that burning leather in Oklahoma is illegal and she asked for an explanation on how this could happen. The owner told her it's not illegal. Which is a blatant lie and accountability has yet to be taken by anyone as to how his vest got burned. When they did call to finally inform my mother, they started the conversation by saying my aunt, my fathers sister, was "rude" to them after they told her they destroyed her deceased brother's belongings. Finally, after days of arguing over the phone about who is going to take responsibility for burning my father's belongings they decided to tell my mom that she would not receive a refund for the service, but that they would try to replace the vest to the best of their ability. After being told the monetary value of the vest, they quickly changed their tune and decided they wanted to refund the service. My mother was given less than half of what the funeral cost and to this day has not received an apology from anyone. If you care about your family members and if you want them to be honored respectfully. DO NOT COME HERE.
