Review # 53 ThIs…read morereview is mostly for the OKC Turkish Arts and Food Festival, which was Sat, 6 Apr 2019, from 11am-7pm. Location: The Turkish Arts and Food Festival was held at the Rain Drop Turkish American Cultural Center, on 4444 N. Classen Blvd, OKC, OK 73118. The Rain Drop Turkish House, or Turkish American Cultural Center (RDTACC) is a white and grey building with some bright blue around the doors. There is an underground parking garage which is very run down. Some of the ceiling hangs very low, so don't park there if you have a tall truck or SUV. The ceiling is also caving in from rain, so this parking garage is very iffy! I ran over something crunchy and when I got out to look, it was cement from the ceiling. Festival: The festival was small, as the building inside is rather small, except for some rooms in the back part of the center. Admission was free, but if you wanted to buy anything, you had to buy tickets to make purchases. They had Turkish food, tea, coffee, pottery, clothing, jewelry, lights, bags, and other crafts available. The jewelry and pottery was very beautiful. Some ladies were making Turkish bread in the main center room where the food was set up. I bought a meat, rice, and salad platter; bread with meat pressed inside like a quesadilla, and some chocolate eclairs. I was then talked into buying two small pottery bowls I really didn't need by the man selling them. Overall it was something fun and different to do and get some Turkish food. Posted on 6 Apr 2019

I've been there on other dinners, gone to cooking classes, etc. I've even gone to meals at members houses. The whole point of the Rain Drop Turkish House is to bring together different faiths.
