My divorce was granted in May of 2022 and I received an email from her stating that she would pick up my decree and get me 2 notarized copies and mail them to me. This was an extra service that I paid for because I had a lot on my plate at the time (my ex husband was moving back to Wales and so we were figuring out the finances for that since I still care about him--we just didn't work out.), so I didn't want to have to think about my divorce. I trusted her. Queue about 6 months ago when my ex asked me to take a picture of our decree for paperwork he's doing and I email Lucinda asking if I ever got a decree (it was a year and a half ago so I figured I forgot.) Sure enough, Lucinda said she mailed it within 5 days of the divorce being granted, so I went to the courthouse for copies thinking I just lost mine. WRONG. The decree had never been picked up and filed, I had never received copies, and my divorce was not finalized. Does Lucinda take accountability for this oversight in her paid service? No. She blames me for not keeping on top of her to do her job. So now I'm having to get ahold of an actual professional and pay hundreds more to get my divorce actually finalized. Lucinda did update her book of an automated email to add that its the clients responsibility to keep up with their own court documents, which is antithetical to the extra service she charges for that essentially said the opposite. Horrible horrible! If you're okay with babying someone through the job you're paying them to do, then carry on. If you want to trust a company to complete the service they provide, seek help elsewhere....

I was sued in 2021 and filed counterclaims that same year. My counterclaims were later dismissed without what I believed was clear written confirmation or authorization from me approving that action, which I felt placed my case at significant risk. When I later asked about refiling, I was told to "wait until October," but I did not receive a detailed explanation regarding the significance of that timeline or the potential consequences of waiting. After seeking a second opinion, the new attorney I hired advised me that I had approximately one year from the November dismissal date to refile the case in order to preserve the deposition testimony and evidence previously obtained by my original attorney, who could no longer represent me due to a career change. My understanding was that missing that deadline could have limited the use of previously gathered evidence and negatively affected my ability to defend my case. Fortunately, I retained another attorney who successfully handled the matter and ultimately helped me obtain a dismissal with prejudice and a default judgment on the opposing party's counterclaims, despite previously being told the case would be difficult or unlikely to succeed. Based on my personal experience, I would not hire Brian again. I felt the representation resulted in unnecessary time, expense, and stress, and I believe my case was placed at unnecessary risk.

Would not trust him as he is dishonest and did not care for his winey, dramatic demeanor at the end. Other attorneys have mentioned how annoyed they were when having to deal with him.
