It's rare to find grounds these days with even a little bit of grass, and this one delivers -- the outfield is lush, making it a great place to play. The ground itself is huge, which makes clearing the boundary quite a task -- lots of running involved! The AstroTurf wicket has a nice bounce to it, which adds a good challenge for both batters and bowlers. Parking is decent but a little walk away from the actual field. The one downside is the lack of shade -- on a hot day, it can get brutal with almost no trees around. Also, no restrooms close by, which is definitely something to keep in mind. Overall, a solid ground for competitive cricket with a few areas that could make it even better. Four stars!

Came here because it's one of the few, or as far as I know, the only 24 Hour fishing piers. Had no idea that the bathroom closes around 6pm, so you're pretty much screwed if you stay over night. Also, there is a sign that if you catch the crabs, to throw them back, because if you eat them, it can cause cancer. (Bad omen) I had no idea the water here was that polluted. I fished here for a few hours, caught a small striper, and black sea bass, no keepers, but the heaviest things that I caught were bags and bags of trash. Absolutely disgusting! I can't believe there is so much pollution and garbage in this water. Such a shame people are ruining nature like this. No wonder they tell you not to eat the crabs. I legit thought I was going to be sick at the stench of the trash bags. I was really hoping that this could have been a new fishing spot because I love night fishing, but after this experience, no thank you!

Altho it is always usually empty it's a great spot to shell search. Since I was kid we used to walk along the wave breaks and look for shells, horseshoe crabs,mussels, clams and whatever else we could find. True it's not clean never was even as a kid. I remember the jelly fish swarms way back when and their is always horseshoe crab and little crab body parts up and down the beach. I do have to say you can always find something cool on your walks and that's what I did today. When Sandy hit, that beach was even worse if that's possible but it was with brown stinky water rushing up the black sand and waves pushing garbage up onshore. Now it is so much better and has gotten a little cleaner and the sand is actually like sugar, minus the shells,seaweed, stones and miscellaneous stuff that pops up. It still holds some wonderful memories. They also built a fishing pier down the beach some and it looks pretty cool. People were fishing off it today. So having the storm actually made it better than it has been in a very long time. Don't get me wrong I don't plan on jumping in and swimming there anytime soon but definitely perfect for walks and finding marine treasure with the kids. 4 stars for the memories.

We visited the park in the afternoon, the water was calm and the beach wasn't too steep. Found few people fishing along the shore and enjoying early spring evening. The atmosphere was pleasant, very relaxing and perfect for hang out with friends and family at the beach. There is a field where one can enjoy a quick run or bike ride in the summer. Also found a small kids playground adjacent to the beach ideal for families visiting with kids. There is also a free parking lot next to the park with a community rest room. The restroom is very poorly maintained and would suggest you to not use it unless necessary. Overall I would strongly recommend you to visit the park for a relaxing pleasant evening with friends and family at the beach.

The playground area is big, with a brand artificial turf ground and is very toddler friendly. I really do love the many options for playtime at this set up, however, the slides closets to the parking lot are a big high in height. There is a baseball/softball field and a large walking and running trial that many people come to use.
