It was in a rural area and where I went off was difficult to locate and hard to see. Lou and Kevin went well above and beyond and preserved to find me and my vehicle (including walking down a very long steep gravel road to try to see if that was were I was located, as well as checking back n'forth along the main road when they couldn't find me). When they arrived, they were very professional, skilled and pleasant and worked as a team to do a superb job of pulling my vehicle out from the situation I was in. A nice day at the beach ruined by a company that is running a parking scam. I went to Kal beach to…read morespend a few hours this afternoon. I parked and followed the instructions to pay for parking and to put the receipt on the dash of my car. When I returned to get my car out of the lot it was gone. I was told I had parked illegally and the attendant there pointed me in the direction of a sign that was placed behind two other signs and had branches from a tree covering it. The sign said that it was for boat launch parking only. Also, the sign where I paid to park didn't mention that the lot was for boat launch only. When I arrived in the morning the attendant was not there. It is clear what is happening here. A parking lot that charges $5 for a full day of parking isn't making a lot of money and for sure not enough to hire an attendant. The attendant is obviously there to call Vernon towing to tow cars out of the lot that didn't launch boats and that is how this lot makes money. So I am from out of town and they have caught me with this scam. To make matters worse I had plans to go home tonight as I have to work tomorrow. Vernon towing is saying that I can not pick up my car today because they are closed but they are still towing cars right now. You just can't get it back today. Now I know that this is a towing company and there are not many reputable towing companies in this world and I wouldn't expect Vernon towing to be any better or even reputable. But this is a scam that is taking advantage of tourists and Coldstream should shut this down. Now I am writing this review in hopes that those that read this chose to not use Vernon towing if there is another option available to them. I hope they go out of business.

I have a family member in the Auto repair business, and he said that I was charged a very fair amount for the repair service that was provided for me. The work was done at a professional level. Also Mike's explanation of the work provided, was clear and concise. Mike takes the time to ask if you would like to see all the work that was done, puts the vehicle back on the hoist and walks you through all the work. That is old school professionalism at it's best!!! Mike should open a school and teach other up coming mechanic's the art of how to run a repair shop!!! We feel very lucky. We were not familiar with the area. It was a holiday (July 1st) and never expected anyone to be working but when we arrive Mike started to work on our vehicle shortly after. 3 hours later and a few parts sourced out. ( lucky that Lordco had the parts) (thank you Leah for picking them up) we were on the road again. We travelled another 450 klm's and arrived home with no more trouble. Just a side note, this was not an easy fix. Water pump, various pullies and a new belt. AND no appointment. Mike is an amazing mechanic and good person to know.

WHAT EVER YOU DO, DO NOT EXPECT A RENTAL/ car while you wait for your car to Be fixed. I took my car in last summer and they gave me a pay crusier. I was only 10 min away when the steering when I had to pull on the side of the road. I called them and they told me to drive to Walmart and buy fluids. The wheel wouldn't not turn and wasn't dangerous. I took it was immediately and that's NOT THE WORST PART. The gave me another car. Witch I regret taking. They offered no compensation and refused my calls And in the words of the receptionist "will not Be taking my calls or business". I have a7 year old with Mild disabilities And a 2 year old dog. If they were in that car they would have been dead today. Only help I wasn't offered wa ICBC and told informations i will not disclose. I left that with severe whiplash and bruising all over my body with all picture to proof ripped clothihing and server shock trauma and please do not risk your life if u want to live there sparecars cant be trusted witch shows the work they do to cars.
