Despite the spicy reviews, I've been coming here for over a year and while Ive had a few issues, it's always a good experience. They give you paper bags for single items and a box for additional purchases. It's a liquor store. Do you need to support the bag from the bottom? Yes. Has the credit card processing machine stopped working? Also, yes. Do I take it out on the staff? No. They can't control that nor do they want to cause you frustration. They move me to a different register. They have cigars but do they have every.single.cigar.known.to.man? No. But they have a decent selection and always have Fuente torpedo's in stock. Their weekend bourbon specials are hard to beat! They are the only liquor store I have found that sells popular bottles. Weekend items include green Weller, Eagle Rare and Elmer T Lee. Old Fort Liquor sells these rare bottles drastically cheaper than their competitors. The staff is helpful and have gone out of their way to find rare bottles for me. They have a great selection of liquor and beer items with some hidden gems behind the counter. read more

I had to call around to find Diskin and this is one of the only places that had several flavors. In fact, they had a ton of Diskin! I was able to find three new flavors to try. This was my first visit in and I will definitely go again. read more

I come to visit my best friend and her husband who live close to this liquor store. The place has a fantastic selection and they staff know their stuff. They even helped me find some organic wine. They prices are fair and the location is good. It is wide and open and they have their own lot to park in. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. Completely arrogant employee. When I approached asking about two different wines, he chuckled like I was making them up. Followed by making ignorant remarks like "what world are you from" and "might want to get it from where you are out of". We are out of 1.7 miles down the road. He then questioned the authenticity of the wines I approached him about. I proceeded to present him with photos of the wine and he still didn't think they were real. They are both napa valley wines and he said places don't carry those. read more

I've been here several times, mainly for a quick stop in their humidor for a cigar, although I have attempted to purchase alcohol here too. More on that later. Your sign right now says, "Check out our humidor!" Well, I really suggest you NOT check out the humidor. It's a disgrace. Yeah, there is a decent selection and the prices are competitive. But, they have a serious mold problem. The humidification is way off, causing mold to grow on the cigars. Last time I was in there, a guy came in and picked out a cigar he wanted. I politely suggested he check it for mold. He did. There it was. The guy was about to go home and smoke mold into his lungs. I'm no doctor but I'm sure that can't be healthy for you. Now here comes the real problem. I have mentioned it several times to the staff, and spoken with the manager. Apparently, they just don't care about their customers because nothing has changed. Now, I went in once and asked about a wine and if they were going to carry it. (It was a pretty common wine). The guy rudely told me he wasn't going to carry it and scoffed at me for drinking such swill! Fine, dude. Don't be rude about it. Customer service sucks too. Everytime you go to the counter, the cashiers are too busy yelling back and forth at each other (the cash registers are a distance from each other so they have to yell to have conversation) to even greet you or ask about your shopping experience or anything. Needless to say, I won't go back for cigars or alcohol. read more

I have shopped this place strictly out of convenience and today was absolutely the LAST time I will make myself go here to buy anything. Every time I go I spend at least $100 because I dread going in, I am always running out of what I need and have to stock back up. What makes this SUCH an unpleasant experience you ask? Yes, the prices are a bit higher than some of the other places I have frequented, but again, it's convenient and has been worth it because of that. However, I will go out of my way and pay twice as much if I have to in order to avoid the horrific, snarky, unfriendly, sarcastic, uppity, condescending, absolutely rude attitude I get and have gotten from the cashier at this establishment. The African American lady with grey locks is unbearable. I am Black. Is the treatment because I am Black? Because I am female? WHAT is her problem? No clue. I know it isn't me. And I know this isn't the first complaint. And I know you are, and will continue to lose business because of her. What a shame. read more

After relocating Murfreesboro, I felt I had moved to Utopia. It got to the point that I it was a joke that nothing or no one bad could exist in "The Boro". That is, until I went into this establishment. To begin, two employees were smoking RIGHT AT THE DOOR where you enter. I dont mean near the door, they were directly on the metal door plate AT THE DOOR. As I wandered through the store trying to acclimate to a new location, I could not find what I was looking for. I took "the closest" item to the counter and proceeded to ask for something using descriptive language of what I wanted, to which the "man" behind the counter became rude and demeaning. It was clear that I was trying to define for THE EMPLOYEE WHO SHOULD KNOW THE PRODUCTS that I did not, but I was with no avail. He was having none of it. FINALLY another employee intervened, found the product and I was checked out. Checked out is my final suggestion. Had I known where there was another liquor store near by, I would not have given this place one a dollar of my hard earned money! If I wanted to be abused, it sure wouldnt be while I was paying for it. Thankfully I have been advised where there is a good liquor store (N. Thompson Lane) where you can call to get advice on products, the price is right and their employees know that the customer is who pays their salaries! read more
