I Have called Taylor @ Old Fort Roofing trying to get Scott or crew to come fix the roof that they put on in March 2022. I still have not once got a phone call, text or email back telling me the status of when Scott & or crew was coming back. I am a very unhappy & disappointed with Old Fort Roofing. How hard is it to do a follow up with a customer that you wanted last March and paid you as soon as the roof was put on last March 2022? I was told that they were a hones great company. My experience has been different than what the Sales man told me would happen. He told me when he took my $8,000.00 we are not the cheapest, but we are the best you will be happy with Old Fort Roofing. Sorry to say I am very, very unhappy. I HIGHLY recommend Old Fort Roofing. This was the first big house project my husband and I took on and Old Fort Roofing made it incredibly simple, effortless, and efficient. Old Fort Roofing was fantastic from the moment we approached them at the Fort Wayne Home and Garden Show in March through to the completion of our roof installation. Shannon was extremely attentive to our questions and needs. We interviewed a couple other roofers, but Old Fort Roofing and Shannon were the clear favorites. All our questions and concerns were addressed and answered. Time and care was taken to ensure we understood what would be happening and why and how. When it came time to remove the old roof and install the new, the crew was efficient, diligent, and very fast. The old roof and gutters were removed and the new roof installed in one day. The gutters were replaced with new within a week. There was one instance where the siding was damaged, but Shannon sent Scott our information and he personally came out to work out a solution with us. The damaged siding was easily replaced and looks absolutely fantastic. Scott also realized that the color we had originally chosen for the roof was not what was installed. My husband and I had commented between the two of us that the new roof looked lighter than we remembered our selection being, but were so pleased with how it looked that we didn't think too much of it. Scott surprised us with confirmation that the wrong color roof had been installed. He was incredibly apologetic and offered a couple of solutions. We were happy to keep the roof as it was installed and Scott gave us a discount due to the mistake. Shannon and Scott were both with us every step of the way and very friendly, very attentive. Overall, Old Fort Roofing ensured our interaction with them and our roof replacement was as effortless as possible. They are an amazing company with wonderful customer service! This company is not interested in potential customers. Gave me a quote for repairs, told me would do it on Friday. Friday comes and no contractor. Called and was told would be Monday. Monday comes and no contractor. Called contractor was told 1st thing Tuesday morning. Tuesday no show. I called the office who said they would call me back, no return call. Called contractor was told Tuesday evening, then no show. No calls either. In mean time spent 3 days waiting at home for repairs. Called another company who quoted and fixed my roof in same day. Scott recommended we get at least 3 estimates from other roofing companies and that we look at companies that have been in business for 15-20 years in the Fort Wayne area so that we'll be sure we're getting a fair quote from a reputable business that will stand behind its work. On the day the work was scheduled his team was out by 6:15 in the morning and got right to it. They all worked very hard because they had to remove two layers of shingles. They completed all the work in one day even though our roof has many peaks and valleys. They did a great job cleaning up afterward and were very careful to not harm our landscaping. It has now been two months since the new roof was installed and with the summer heat it has settled in (flattened down) and looks great! We chose Old Fort Roofing after getting 6 proposals. We felt Scott and his team would do the best job and had the best warranty. We were very happy with the workmanship and the attention to detail. The men worked until after 9 in order to complete the job which included our house and a smaller barn. Everyone was courteous and respected the property, cleaning up after the job was finished. We had a great experience with the scheduling and roofing portion of the job. Unfortunately we had some issues after work complete that is still outstanding. Our largest issue was that our gutter guards were taken off and never replaced (while quoting the job the owner never told us this would be the case). We still have a percentage of our bill that was held out for some of items being unfinished (visible under paper can be seen as well as some other aesthetics that are noticeable immediately when you drive up). We have had multiple calls and texts to owner with no response. We were very pleased with initial service, but definitely should have been told about gutter guards being taken off and thrown away before the job was started. Roofing crew and office staff very helpful and prompt, but am very disappointed there was no follow through to completion. read more

Great experience! From first contact to job complete was 2 weeks and that included setting up the financing. I am a distributor for some roof venting/flashing products and can attest that the products they use are top notch. I wish ours were as good. Only issue we had was one item was missed, they caught it and had it corrected the next business day. Would highly recommend Scott and his crew. read more

Scott and his team are great! He's very patient and informative. His team worked extremely hard and cleaned up during and after the job very well. They protected our plants and took special care to make sure we were comfortable with the job and their progress at each step along the way. Their cut lines are very straight which made me happy. We got a quote 2015, had him do the roof 2016 spring. He was miss leading and not clear. He roofed the house but left a potion not done. With an insult that "it wasn't in your budget". he was unwilling to complete. It was done on a Friday when we walked out driveway that night we found a zip lock bag worth of nails that wasnt cleaned up. When I talked to him that Monday he hung up on me. read more
