The Old Fryer is on my way home from town. Its a pretty standard looking chip shop from the road and is the same inside. It's carry out only so the idea of it having to have funky décor is a bit redundant. The staff are nice and the food is pretty solid generally. On occasion we've found that the likes of the chicken burgers and goujons etc can be a bit sub par, this is a let down considering the chips themselves and the fish portions are by turn, that bit above average, so on average it's average, unless you go for fish and chips, in which case I think you should be happy enough!
The only other thing of note would be that if you are passing, getting stopped outside is unlikely as there are only about 3 spots to park on the bay outside. read more
