The puzzles were eclectic and intriguing with plenty of selection. The brown paper wrapped books was the coolest idea I have ever seen. Can't decide on what book to read, well grab one of these (excellently priced btw)! I have a firm rule of always buying something at a bookstore. Preferably a book. Sometimes I have trouble finding one book that I want. Here, I left with three. The honest reality is they placed their books in a way that encouraged viewing. Within 10 minutes I had found three books that grabbed my attention. The staff was friendly and helpful. The set up is designed for easy perusal. It was clean and organized.

The selection of rare and old books was above and beyond anything I've seen in any other store before. I don't know if I'll ever see a store with this unique kind of vibe again. The owner was a very nice person as well, and if I ever find myself back in Alaska, I will definitely be back. This is a must visit bookstore.

Front end manager has no problem Shouting at customers and makes no attempt to help. This store has become a nightmare. I rather go to another town to shop and just grab fresh ish vegetables and milk here. And even those go bad quickly.

I am very disappointed in our Safeway I own a small business in Homer and I buy hundreds of gallons…read moreof milk a month we open at 6:30 in the morning and we try to get milk before we open. since our Safeway went corporate we have lost parking there are no longer any checkers available until after 8 AM and you have to use the self check out, where if your tax exempt you can't use your tax exempt card thereby forcing you to pay taxes on a product you're going to resale. it makes me very sad to see our Safeway go this way it used to be a wonderful store but corporate has cut any customer service they can to pinch a penny. it's turning into a terrible place to shop

I visited the Salmon Sisters Flagship store over the summer, it is a cute shop to visit in Homer…read more The shop has a plethora of items that you may or may not see at other shops on the spit, but I loved the salmon earrings I wound up ordering from the once I got home because I couldn't stop thinking about them! The shop is conveniently located with ample parking. Love supporting fellow Alaskans, so keep it up ladies!

The Salmon Sisters are kind of legendary in Alaska and have encouraged a new generation of women in commercial fishing. I bought their second cookbook.
