The Cultural and Civic Center has quickly become our go-to for holding all of our local events.

So the Annual Round Lake Chili Supper was my first visit to the Civic Center. I had walked around…read morethe outside earlier this year for a carnival but this was my first time inside. When I walked in, my first thought was, Wow, it's bigger on the inside. (Sorry, I'm a nerd.) But it is very large. The large room we were sitting in was wonderful and fit so many people. Although, as a toddler mom, I inevitably ended up in the lobby letting my one year old run herself tired. I dadd still happy with the cleanliness of the floor, because toddlers are always trying to roll on the floor. And I loved the full changing table in the bathroom. The bathrooms were clean and didn't have any strange odors. I would definitely welcome the opportunity to come back to this venue.

I can only speak about the library available here. Although their selection isn't as extensive as…read moremost libraries, it is convenient to come to this library if distance happens to be an issue for you. I'd say their book selection is mostly for pre-school to middle school so there's that limitation too. One of the perks that most libraries don't have is that if you ever need a break from studying here, you can play some tennis, weather permitting. Their courts are attached to the parking lot. This is where all the magic happens!!! The Village of Paddock Lake is run from here...I call it…read morecommand central. I highly recommend that you stop by and see Tim P., if you are planning on doing anything with your house. He will tell you if you can do it or if it is not allowed in the Village. Trust me...this can save you money...I am the voice of experience. Every 4th of July they throw a fun event for the Village...with a Bike Parade that includes Fire Trucks and Free Candy. The Parade ends in the parking lot of the Village. There is a place for the kids to play and also food too. It is always a fun time and a highlight for our holiday weekend. You can also park your car and boat trailer here when you are in the lake. Make sure that you get a season pass from the village or drop in money at the box by the launch...you do not want to get a ticket!!!
