I have NEVER gotten such great prices in an Academy store, outside of the occasional clearance shoe. I was also able to use a store coupon for my son's baseball equipment which helped us save an additional 20% off his needs for the spring season. The staff was friendly & patient as I leveraged my coupon at check out and if I had any questions while shopping. I also appreciated their price check scanners to help me verify totals when selecting items. On a previous visit, we were able to score some nice basketball shoes that were reduced as well. With this in mind, I like to come in and browse from time to time because I never know what I will find. Some days we don't find much and others we find great deals. I like this location.

Alexander answered the call and he checked the store inventory to see if what I needed was in stock. After being on hold for 2 minutes he came back and told me they had 4 of the bikes in the store. I wanted to get it assembled in-house, he then informed me that because of the Covid they only have an assembler coming once a week and they have been there for this week already.. BUT that he would go check the floor to see if there was one already put together for me.. there was 1!!! I asked him would he hold it for an hour for me and I would be there to pick it up.... I walked in, asked for him and he had already pulled the bike down off the rack for me and had it ready to go.. That is a downfall of ordering delivery from this location, so I definitely don't recommend that. However, I typically do shop in person and for the most part, it is clean whenever I am shopping at this location. There are not many registers that are open that are not self check out. That's only a downfall when you have an abundance of items that you wish to purchase through a regular checkout station, I've never utilize there order ahead/pick up. which is also why I can't really comment much on the customer care. I haven't really interacted with many workers at this location. I do recall of having one positive interaction with an employee, but it was nothing that was outstanding! It's definitely not the worst Walmart location that I've been to and it's also not the best. It most definitely makes do whenever I need to visit!

Employees have generally been helpful and approachable when needed. It's a dependable, well-run store that keeps me coming back, which says a lot after this many years.

My teenager worked for Kohl's in Hiram, Ga. as a seasonal worker and they only worked for two weeks…read morethen got taken off the schedule for three weeks because my teenager had to miss one day of work due to unforeseen circumstances. My teenager tried to call the scheduling manager, but could not get through to a manager to advise them of their circumstances. At first, I figured it was due to less work available, but later I found out that there was still a labor shortage. With the Economy in the state that it is in now, there need to be better managers and leaders with good people skills, organizational skills who value their Employees! Horrible Management and Horrible Employee inclusion!! I called the Hiram store location several times over a month and could not get through to a manager and when I got a chance to speak with the scheduling manager it got worst! I asked what happened with the schedule and they said they needed to speak with my teenager, so I got my teenager on the phone and then they said my teenager needed to come to the store. So after we spoke with both managers, they said again my teenager needs to come into the store, then I said okay after a few minutes of frustrating conversations. So I asked, when will the manager be available, then they said they could not give the information out. What! I had agreed with them, then they said they could not give me that information. It sounds like they had no intentions to resolve this issue. So here we are. Why are we wondering why we have a labor shortage? It is clear that we need competent leaders and managers who know how to manage people and treat their Employees well! I have reached out to corporate because this was one of the worst experiences I have had to see my teenager go through. No parent wants to encourage their children to be independent and learn good work-life balances and work ethics when the people in leadership do not understand it.
