And since things wear out eventually, I'll sometimes go to a convenient outlet mall to restock. I was on my way to Iowa City yesterday and decided to stop in at this outlet mall for Under Armour socks and maybe some short sleeve PFG shirts. I found a nice couple nice ones at "Buy One - 2nd at 50% Off". I may have done better before on ebay, but I was very happy with the purchase and a chance to recycle a couple of the old ones at home.

I do have trouble with fit on some items here. Jeans never fit quite right and some of the shirts feel pretty boxy. I have good luck with sweaters/cardigans (they have tons of good colors and patterns), skirts, sandals, accessories and occasionally dresses but again, the fit doesn't seem to have as much care put into it as a non-outlet GAP. Still a great place for wardrobe basics, especially with the emailed coupons.

When I returned to the counter with some things I wanted to buy, that specific manager was gone and the one filling in for her, Megan, very rudely told me that I couldn't. The same associate ( who had the personality of a turnip) who had helped the previous manger would not confirm it, so I was out of luck. Had they been polite it would not have been a problem, but they were so rude! None of the employees bothered to even make eye contact, much less say "hello" or "have a nice day". As a result of this poor experience I will no longer shop at any Gap store from here on out- or any stores affiliated with it, such as Banana Republic or Old Navy. I don't usually have much luck in the women's section (although they do have a great selection of sports bras, leggings, etc.), but the men's area is a gold mine for me. If you are a small man (or a woman who likes the comfort of men's sweats), this is the place for you. Everything is always nicely organized and it's very easy to find the color and size you want. This is definitely a hidden gem as I would imagine the population of Williamsburg, Iowa isn't that large, it's probably just folks on road trips, like myself, who pop in here.
