What a fantastically charming Bookshop you will find nestled in Camden. The fact they have a cafe…read moreinside brings even more charm and coziness. A must stop for readers and book lovers! I have followed them on social media and have been wanting to bring my wife here due to her loving books. We came a little later in the day so the cafe will need to be a future visit. I love the fact they had it though and look forward to coming back. It's two levels with the second level being dedicated to kids books. My wife enjoyed our time here browsing the books. The shop is on the smaller side and during a busy day some of the areas may feel a bit congested. They did have a couple chairs around inside as well as a few small tables outside too. Due to the small size you may not find every new release or trendy book but overall it is such a cozy and inviting bookshop you must visit!

Nor did I realize the closing was due to prepping for an event. Changing to five stars because the place really was amazing!!!! The CUTEST spicy bookshop EVER. But also....I've never actually come across one of these before so there's that! So many books of all different.....interests. Which I loved! They had a collection of non smut books as well. Not sure about how the pricing was because I was too enamored with the shop in itself I didn't even pay attention to prices. I guess they do book signings there (Tessa Bailey is one!) which is really cool. The only drawback was the employee working there. She was not helpful and seemed very annoyed we were in there. I did not realize that we walked in probably 15 or so minutes before closing (5p on a Saturday) but while I was looking around and outwardly saying "this is the best place ever" she was less than inviting which was disappointing. She flipped the closed sign when we were in there and I apologized, saying we didn't realize they were nearly closing and she just huffed and replies with "if you want a book I can cash you out now". Other than the not great customer service, the store was AMAZING and I would 1000% go back! Wish they were closer to me!

A bookstore for book lovers: a small shop with narrow aisles crammed full of used books. You can…read morefind many treasures in the stacks if you want to take the time to search. While we were there, one woman was gleefully surveying the book offerings of a really niche category of interest and was fretting over which books to get because she wanted them all. Much more than your average used book store! The books are reasonably priced, but the kicker is that the proprietor is old school and only accepts cash or checks. We didn't have enough cash on hand, so I sadly put my two book choices back on the shelves. The proprietor didn't greet us at all, just sat behind his desk and read the paper, and gruffly handling transactions. Normally I'd knock a shop for that, but it's just part of the charm. The other major downside is that it's up a big flight of stairs in a building with no elevator, and it's not air conditioned, so it can get very hot in the summer. Worth stopping in, but hit up the ATM first.
