My husband and I are both big music nerds and when we were looking for music for our wedding we both had pretty high standards. Old Pueblo DJ Co definitely delivered and set the bar very high. You can tell Jared loves what he does. He is also very good at it. We came in with a lot of different types of music to mesh together, and a lot of demands about what not to play. The playlists that he came through with were fun, got people dancing, and exactly the energy that we were going for. His skills as and MC were also without exception. He kept the party moving and grooving, and was a good presence to have. I would also say that we got Jared for a steal! He was very affordable, and totally self-sufficient. Jared is an incredible DJ and also just a very kind and easygoing person! He met with us prior to the wedding to discuss our music likes and dislikes in detail, and was very knowledgable when we asked his advice about certain songs and timing. At our wedding, we started the ceremony a little later than planned (due to photos taking longer than we thought), and Jared worked seamlessly with our other vendors to make sure that things ran smoothly through cocktail hour and the reception. I was a little bit stressed about it, but he has a very calming presence and put me at ease immediately, reassuring me that everything was going to work out. Jared was the DJ for our wedding on October 2, 2021 and he did such an awesome job! A few weeks before the wedding, we sent Jared some suggestions for songs we wanted to be played throughout our wedding day and then we talked to him on the phone one evening to iron out more details and go over any questions we had. Jared was really helpful when we needed suggestions for what songs would be good to play during the different dance sets and he gave us a good idea of what our reception timeline would be like. On the day of our wedding, Jared arrived promptly to do sound checks and get set up. His timing for the ceremony music was impeccable and the music he played for the cocktail hour and dinner created the exact vibe we were going for. For the dance sets after dinner, Jared was really great about reading the room and playing music that people liked. We had a lot of fun and our friends commented that Jared played the perfect songs at the perfect times. One of the best parts of Jared's DJ service is that a couple of days after the wedding, he sends you a link to the Spotify playlist he uses for the cocktail hour, dinner, etc. so you can listen to your wedding music whenever you want! After interviewing several DJs/MCs for our Phoenix/Scottsdale wedding, my (now) husband and I received a referral from a friend of a friend to reach out to Mr. Jared Boone. We are so happy we did!! Jared is extremely personable, professional, organized, detail-oriented, and tech-savvy. He was very responsive, knowledgeable, and answered all of our questions. After our initial conversation, my husband and I were confident Jared would provide us with the best experience and service anyone could ask for, especially for such a special event. Jared set up two meetings and provided an interactive document with links to his Spotify collection where we could select, remove, and add our musical preference and we were able to share our playlist from Apple Music too. He had an eclectic selection of music and we were impressed with his diverse knowledge of artists and songs. Jared was even able to locate a song we could not find anywhere!! He helped us decide on the super important songs for the formalities (precessional, ceremony, procession, grand entrance, and parent dances, etc.). Before/between meetings and during our event, Jared was extraordinarily receptive to our requests and our guests' requests (as we permitted).
