Almost every time I visit Rochester, this is one of my stops. Today I didn't find anything, but usually I walk out with a purchase. There is a nice variety and the store is clean. I spied some Dragonware I would have bought but felt it was on the pricey side. There is parking in the rear and this shop is a nice diversion after spending most of the week at Mayo. read more

Old Rooster Antique Mall is quite an experience. Lovely little store with all kinds of great finds. They truly have good antiques, no doubt. Unfortunately for an antique-hunter, they are priced at full value. Worth it if you are looking for something in particular. Evelyn from Old Rooster Antiques has not only once, but twice followed me around and harassed me regarding my service animal. This is discrimination. I also feel that some of the harassment was racially and financially motivated as she has made multiple comments regarding things being pricey, alluding to her thinking I wouldn't be able to afford it. This kind of treatment for paying customers is unacceptable. She has in the past changed her tune as soon as I have given my Mayo ID though, which is very telling. Gordon Kranz, please contact me. I love antiquing and we happened to stumbled upon this little gem on our trip to Rochester. I wish I knew the name of the two ladies who worked there because they could not have been any sweeter. What a gem of an antique store! Had the slightly over crowded feeling that I enjoy, and very helpful staff. Had to look at a couple of things in cases, and the staff was very good about bringing a key. Had a collection of miniature clocks that I have been on the hunt for, and was able to purchase a few. A very nice Antique Mall. Quite a a bit of nice glass and China here. Love some of those gorgeous glass candle holders. A bit of Fine Jewelry, some unusual items. A nice way to spend an afternoon in Rochester. earlier reviews mentioned they didn't take credit cards but that is an accurate now. It's really the only game in town - with lots of bric-a-brac and a knowledgable staff. The bad news is it's quite pricey/ the good news is that two of the best dealers there are retiring, so everything is 50% off. Excellent browsing for kitsch, vintage and antiques if you've got time to kill in downtown Rochester - dishware, jewelery, postcards, glassware, all kinds of stuff. Owners are taciturn, but nice enough. read more

Nice and Clean, But very pricey, Found some items I have been looking for but didn't buy them because they were priced 3 times the amount they were worth. Some areas where very tight so you really couldn't go into the booths and look without walking on items. It was a nice break from the Mayo and not that far of a walk from the Mayo. Nice stuff just watch the prices bring cash because they dont take credit cards. read more

The Old Rooster Antiques was the greatest. I found lots of things I haven't been able to find lately. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about what they had and even suggested other places that may have similar item!!! The lower level really surprised me. I didn't expect all of the cool furniture they had. Next time I'll have to bring a truck. BTW they now accept credit cards. Great store read more
