Incredible selection of bird feeders and very knowledgeable staff! Small town country store feel, like a step back in time!

When we got our new puppy we wanted to make sure she was well socialized and used to spending days without us in case we both end up with office jobs again (I work from home). She's routinely gotten praise and she comes home the happiest and the most tired. And also stinky, but people who leave a bad review for a stinky dog are ignoring that when a dog plays hard they're rolling in dirt, water, and spit, let alone if you've got one with a penchant for sticking their head in a "stream" (Riza). For us, when we toured the facility was very clean, and they take and post pictures daily of all the pups and even with all the dogs running around all day it's always super clean. The staff are all super friendly and seem to really love their jobs -- or at least really love the dogs so you'd never know. Central Bark is also on the ball with keeping track of vaccinations & will mention if you've got something close to expiring - an added perk for sure since it's easy to miss an email from the vet. For safety reasons, Central Bark asks that you come on as regular a schedule as possible - this keeps their play groups fairly consistent and let's the dogs develop friendships and not be constantly introducing brand new dogs to each other every single day. It also helps with your own routines at home. By doing this, we've found that Riza has made her own friends and has a few doggies that she just LOVES at daycare. It's always fun to see the regulars in the pictures with her. I love them, I think their prices are reasonable and well worth it, and I hope to let Riza come to daycare for as long as we possibly can. Attached are photos from central barks Facebook page of Riza playing in their facility

We had used Leashes & Leads for boarding and daycare for our previous dog and were very happy with…read morethem. The employees seemed to really enjoy and care about dogs. However, last week was a terrible experience. We left our two Border Terriers with Leashes & Leads to stay for several nights while we were a couple hours away for business meetings. Our dogs are a 5-year-old brother and sister pair who are very bonded; they'd never been apart and were supposed to be kept in the same kennel. I told the staff that our dogs wrestle and play-fight several times a day--they love to do that and if you have Borders, you know what I'm talking about. I also left Benadryl for the staff to give them if they were anxious while we were gone. They've been fine being periodically boarded since they were one year, so they have a track record of doing fine in kennels. A few hours after we left them, we got a text that the staff had fed our dogs some other dogs' food, which we appreciated their letting us know. Then the next morning, we got a text that the staff was separating our dogs due to fighting. No amount of explaining that our dogs just play that way got through to the woman who called. I know how anxious our dogs get when they're apart from each other, so I drove two hours back to get them. (No one had given them anything for their anxiety as I'd instructed.) A surly, hostile woman named F***h checked us out, overcharging us by a lot. We finally got some of the wrong charges removed but still got charged $66 as a late fee on top of their other charges. I had to ask several times for an itemized statement before she grudgingly gave me one. She also seemed like she did not like our dogs, which was especially concerning. Our dogs are HIGHLY motivated by play and food, but for many hours after I got them, they refused to eat treats or play--they were really stressed. I don't know if they were just traumatized from being separated or if something else happened, as well. Like I said, Leashes & Leads was great in the past, but unless the owner can assure us that F***h and any other employees who are hostile to dogs and people are no longer employed there, we'll not use them again.

I've had nothing but troubles and have heard nothing but bad things about them…read more I applied here 4 TIMES. And every single time I was "forgotten about." As an applicant. I did 2 tours of the place (because they couldn't even remember that I had done one previously.) both times I toured (months apart) the entire back room reeked of urine and feces, too many dogs in one area with not enough staff to adequately care for the dogs, dogs humping each other, fighting, handlers shocking the crap out of dogs with e-collars to the point they were yelping and jumping in pain. (They never mentioned training for their employees on these devices so I assume they just slap them on and hope it does the trick), dogs frightened in corners of the room and a "jail" as they called it for dogs to go when they are aggressive. I've worked at other kennels and I've never seen one run like this. I was told recently that they are under new management so hopefully that helps but this place seems like a train wreck. When I went for my first interview I was approached by one of the groomers who offered me a position (I had no grooming experience at the time) and she said that they hated their jobs and were basically wrestling dogs to get them in the bath. I've heard horror stories of dogs coming back with broken or lame legs and paws, dogs not getting medications, staff putting senior dogs with rowdy teenage dogs, and many accounts of infections, parasites and illnesses contracted here. Staff are allowed to sit on their phones during playtime and when I toured, that's EXACTLY what all of them were doing. Sitting in chairs, on their phones, and when a dog misbehaved they would throw it in jail or shock it with an e collar.

(Parody Mash up of the "Monster Mash") I was shopping at PetSmart, late one night Searching for a sanitary site And there it was, for that cat of mine For just $21.99... A litter box, it was a corner throne A litter box, Tootsie-Roll danger zone A litter box, it's used by him alone A litter box, break out Eau De Cologne! ~~~~~~~~~~~ Your cat is the king of the house, doesn't he deserve a proper throne? With oh so many sandboxes from which to select, the choice can be head scratching, to say the least. The best place to start is by examining your feline's powder room personality. The A-Rod: If your cat displaces sand with the velocity of a baseball player sliding into third base (like mine), then you're going to need a pan with high sides. I was looking for a smaller backup box to supplement the baseball-field sized box I already have in one bathroom. The solution: a corner comfort station, of course! No need to worry about the Alabaster Blast when it's your cat's turn at bat. The High-Sided Cat Corner Litter Box that I ultimately chose boasts advanced technology for odor blocking, and is also antimicrobial, and non-stick. Even J-Lo would be impressed. The Daft Punk: Most cats like a dead mouse or two, but if they also enjoy scratching turntables, the Whisker City Self Cleaning Litter Box at the bargain price of $99.99 might be your beat. This turntable-like toilet features a conveyor system and a bowl that rotates 360 degrees every hour. No DJ needed. Its claim to fame is that it sifts scoopable clay litter into a waste bin to the tracks of "Get Scraped". The Robert Pattinson: If your cat is on the shy side, why not provide him with some privacy in the form of a covered can? The Habitat 'n Home Litter Loo is designed for double duty, debuting designer décor while dispatching dirty deeds for the price of $93.95. Aside from the entrance door, the Loo also has a cute little window for your pervy cat to spy on anyone else doing their own business. ~~~~~~~~~~~ It's a paté, he doesn't have to chew It's a paté, he likes it, "Mew, mew, mew." It's a paté, a grain-free chicken stew It's a paté, made by Buffalo Blue ~~~~~~~~~~~ Your cat wants dinner, and he wants it now. You know how this is going down...Beef Wellington (by Merrick) better appear on a silver platter before the situation escalates, and your hangry monster (or Munster) wraps himself around your head like the creature attached to Kane's face in "Alien"... or lops off your limb like Kitty Kat in "The Addams Family." PetSmart will help you save face and arm by offering you a selection of gourmet, grain-free goodies from brands like Blue Wilderness, Nature's Variety, and Nutro, that your little one will be happy to lap up while you run for safety. PetSmart carries some brands found in grocery stores as well, like Friskies and Purino Pro. I would love to see more grain-free and carrageen-free options, but with limited shelf real estate, you can understand the selection. This is where it's nice to live by a specialty pet food store, like Chuck 'N' Don's, to find the chicer chops. ~~~~~~~~~~~ It's dental spray, blasts all the germs away It's dental spray, keeps cavities at bay It's dental spray, get back here, sit, and stay It's dental spray, when we're done you can play ~~~~~~~~~~~ Finally you'll have a use for that medieval chainmail armor you have tucked away for special occasions! You'll need the protection when addressing your cat's stank breath, along with assistance in the form of Only Natural Pet All Smiles Oral Care Spray. My cat and I have both so far survived the home dental spray procedure relatively unscathed, so for that I give this spray good marks. I also like that the spray is herbal, featuring Peppermint Leaf, Wild Indigo Root, Spilanthes Plant, and Echinacia Angustifolia Root. My cat, however, gives the spray two paws down, declaring it to be, "#$@! mrrroow grrrrr". ~~~~~~~~~~ Whether you need a pioneering privy, a pleasing paté, or delightful dental spray, Petsmart has all your basic pet needs covered (along with everything else from Halloween costumes and holiday treats to scratching posts, carriers, and water and food dishes).
