When I spoke to one of the owners she refused to give me a refund saying that their policy is posted on a sign by the cash register. Unfortunately the sign is blocked when a clerk is standing at the till. I explained my situation but the owner refused to make an exception. I was very disappointed with her attitude.

A lady forgot to grab the toy from the counter after paying for it, and the cashier went to go find her. But still, take into consideration that you are in a historical town and you don't have to look further than a few steps for everything zany (and not so zany).
