We walked in and the lady behind the register looked at us, gave us a half smile definitely did not get a pleasant greeting. We looked around the store for maybe 5 minutes and my son found some Jurassic Park dinosaurs. I was on the ground with him reasoning with him to get only one toy. My wife was looking at some stuffed animals close by. She picked one up and pour it back. The lady behind the register comes over takes a picture of the shelf that my wife had picked up the stuffed animal from. And yes we saw the picture on her phone. After that we proceeded to get out of there because clearly she was racially profiling us. It's a shame and I didn't want to make a scene so I just bought my son the $50 dinosaur and we left. I should not have spent my money there. We will not be back and Don't recommend anyone of color to shop here.

Loves to read and dabbles with them. The only way the store could improve to myself is having a sitting area. Simalar to the designated area outside woman's dressing rooms at department stores where you see groups of husband's holding purses. Yeah, they need a mom area like that because standing in a corner for 30 min while the kid agonizes over which 20, $1 comics he will get is torture.

I have been going there for about a year now and not once have I ever been pushed away or had an employee be rude to me. The staff has always been helpful and always greet me with a smile on my face! Since Covid started I've been there a few times and they have everything they need to stay/keep every safe! They are awesome at everything they do. They do get busy but I don't mind the wait in line they always make up for it in customer service!

I was thrilled to find a place for a single mom on a limited budget to shop for clothes and toys that were affordable...usually less than half the original sticker price. I was able to provide clothes and toys for many years thanks to your business. Fast forward to March 2025. I now have 3 granddaughters. We watch them every other weekend. My spouse and I are both disabled and back on a limited budget, which I never thought I'd be at the age of 50 after working in the corporate world for 20 years. I thought - hey...we just moved back to this side of town, I can shop for the girls at Once Upon a Child! NOPE. Won't do it now OR EVER!!! Imagine my surprise when I went to the size 12 section for girls and found an adorable white tank top with some brown and tan butterflies on it --- something I would expect to pay a couple dollars for at a SECOND HAND SHOP. NOPE - $6.00. I thought maybe it was a mistake so I looked at the very next white tank top that was plain white...with the top of the front with frilly material. $4.00. WHAT?!?!?!?!?!?!? I worked in negotiations...maybe these are opening prices....maybe? I went up to the counter and asked if the prices were negotiable. I was told, only if there is obvious damage. Well, no damage to those shirts...other than Once Upon a Child wanting to rip off customers. I am extremely disappointed in what this business has become. Maybe it's because the location borders on Sylvania/Toledo that as a business you think it is okay to charge these prices? Maybe it's because your business model has changed and instead of trying to serve a population that lives paycheck to paycheck you are now more interested in profit? Let's just say that I will take my business elsewhere, probably to the actual stores that sell those items brand new for the price you are charging for used...or even less.
