Everything, and I mean everything is here. Whether it's fruit and veggies, to furniture, to pretty paintings to cheesy 8 track tapes. They have everything here and a great variety. If you are a male or female, young kid or teenager, there is something for you. Even the wonderful pets in your life have a place to shop. All the jewelry and purses that girls love and the make up and all that good stuff, it's there. Lastly, all that stuff that you buy at the touristy places, souvenirs, etc, yep all here. I am excited to have gone here. I feel like it's one of the biggest flea markets with everything in it, not just the same ol stuff at each stand. My favorite was the tiki guy who makes tiki bars. They have so much detail, of course they cost and arm and a leg, and I don't know if people actually spend an arm, leg, and whatever at a flea market, but hey it was really cool! Check it out! I love what they've done with the continuous improvement at the Oldsmar Flea Market. Of course you see the dollar stores and shops that carry most of what you'd expect at a flea market. Then there are the unique shops such as Penney's Creations. Penney is a progressive Seamstress and in regards to quality; she has set the bar quite bar high. She is strict; EVERYTHING in her shop is made by hand. Her current products include: Du-Rags (with or without a cotton sweat-band), Elegant kitchen/bath Hanging Towels that can be made to order (these are not the old fashioned towels made with the button or Velcro), Terry cloth Adult Dining Garments (bibs), aprons & half aprons for adults as well as kids, microwaveable Bowl Cozies as well as potato/ vegetable bags (including single potato bags), Bo-Ho Beach Bags, Drawstring Backpacks, bag holders/sleeves for plastic grocery store bags, lanyards (Bldg. Not a bad way to spend the better part of a day. A little bit of a lot of things. From people selling older items from home to typical new trinkets you see at all these type of places. Both covered and open air booths so your outside but not having the sun beat you down the whole time. Nothing that will knock your socks off but worth a go. This is not no flea market. It's like a garage junk sale. I would NOT recommend this place. Very disappointing. I bought nothing.

The Oldsmar Flea Market is pretty fascinating... if you like wandering the aisles and looking at all sorts of things they sell on late night TV, or staring at someone else's hand-me-downs, or you believe in the phrase "My trash is your treasure". Flea markets are clearly a deep South phenomenon, and the Oldsmar Flea Market has been cranking out the hits for over 30 years at the corner of Hillsborough Avenue and Race Track Road. The exterior of this 20-acre complex looks a bit worn and dated. The parking lot is all dirt, but parking is free. From there you walk through the front gate (admission is free), past one of my favorite kitchen gadget stores, beyond the farmers' markets, and into the main part of the flea market. From here, it is row after row of covered merchandise stalls filled with some very nice people selling all sorts of things which you never thought that you needed. Do you have a hankering to shop for antiques, jewelry, parrots, scooters, knives, furniture, watches, sun glasses, luggage, paintings, Asian imports, kayaks, used books, golf clubs, coins and stamps, toys, DVDs, collectibles...? Yup, it's all in there. I can't even begin to describe what's inside the market, but suffice it to say that they have over 1200 vendors selling just about everything. The shoppers are equally as diverse, with many looking like rejects from WalMart. This is a people-watching paradise, but just be careful that they don't mow you down on their motorized scooters. If you love watching people, then I suggest that you walk down towards the Information Desk, and stake out a spot on one of the nearby covered picnic tables. Buy yourself a soda, and have a great old time watching the world pass you by. Why was I there, you might ask? Well, the used paperback bookstore is always a great place to browse for late-night reads which are about a buck each. There's no real organizational system to the books, so plan to spend some time searching for whatever you like. On my way back to the car with an armful of paperbacks, I stopped inside the little kitchen gadgets store to see what looked interesting. This place is a hoot, and if you're looking for individual grapefruit spoons, or those little plastic push pin thingies that you stick into a hot ear of corn on the cob, or a pan for re-heating leftover pizza, or maybe some unusual dinner plates, or individual pieces of cutlery, then you really need to stop inside. Their selection is fabulous, and you're able to buy just one or two of any item for a heck of a lot cheaper than your neighborhood BBB. The Flea Market also has a surprisingly good farmers market section, with all sorts of fresh produce, fruits, meats, seafood, sausages, cheeses, and sweets. If you're on this side of town, then you can pop in there to get your Plant City strawberries, or fresh corn on the cob, or bulk cheeses for a party at the retirement home. The Oldsmar Flea Market is truly an experience, and you should definitely plan a visit on a rainy weekend afternoon. read more

Just wanted to throw an "update" out there and mention the cigar & wine shop. While their cigar selection is a little lacking with the new owner, I will say that they're stepped up their beer & wine selection exponentially. They carry most of the Keel & Kurley variations, and for a cheaper price than Publix. You can also get some more rare beers there, such as San Mig, which is a light beer from the Phillipines, as well as Kalik from the Bahamas. In addition, it should be noted that the produce market is the only place in Oldsmar to buy authentic Cuban bread. You have to get there early though, otherwise you'll find an empty shelf. The brand varies, but it's usually Mauricio Faedo's. read more

So, I won't pretend to know much about flea markets.. but from what I gather this is a big honkin' one. Lisa said that I could drop her off if I wanted... but I'm a good husband.. so in I went. A series of buildings lined with stalls of stuff.. all sorts of stuff, stall after stall.. building after building.. on and on and on... That said.. I was pretty entertained. Lot's of places with weapons.. I don't need any and TSA probably wouldn't like it if I were taking them home.. but I'm a guy. A fascination with swords, guns and fearsome knives are genetically coded into me. I can't help it. Also, there are two hot sauce shops, I love hot sauce. The first one that I found (towards the middle of the place) had a good selection but they didn't seem to know much about them.. I do. The second place had samples and some good advice.. next time I would shop at the second one first. Huge areas of Chinese imports.. it's amazing what a dollar can get you.. it felt like if I bought one thing it would snowball into 20. We tried out some very nice (expensive) leather furniture that was popularized by RV owners that want home to feel like the road.. And best of all.. Betty Boop pillows and artwork; from Elvis on a guitar to Jesus on a clock.. this place has something for everyone... The food stalls aren't bad, we stuck with decent french fries and swirled cones. read more

What a fun flea market! They have all sorts of different vendors to offer whatever it may be you are looking for. From comic books, to baseball cards, to fruits and veggies and then of course your vintage gems. There was one vendor we stopped at where I honestly could be lost in there for hours looking at all the cool vintage items they have. Everything at this place is really fun. I think it's a great way to spend a day out. The bird stall is cool and has a lot of supplies! Avoid the guy in row C with all of the legos though. He was very rude and insulted us after trying to look around his stall. I get people have a bad day but not even one minute into looking at everything he came up to us and basically shoo'd us out ?? Which sucks because he had some cool stuff that I would have bought. Oh well. Don't be mean to potential customers and maybe you'll actually sell something, just saying. read more

Picture in your mind what you think a flea market should be. You have just envisioned the Oldsmar flea market. The Oldsmar flea market has hundreds of vendors selling everything you could possibly think of, that is legally permitted to sell. Walking through the flea market is an experience in and of itself. The people running the various booths are interesting, and the patrons are equally as interesting (present company included). On this trip to the flea market we were able to pick up a Hess toy truck from several years ago, that appeared to be new in the box. We also picked up a few trinkets here and there. Make no mistake there are lots of treasures to be found at the Oldsmar flea market. I gave the Oldsmar flea market 4 stars rather than 5 for two reasons. The first being the bathrooms. They have them, but my wife had to use one, and when she emerged, she said I didn't expect a super clean bathroom, but that was absolutely disgusting. The second being that all of the areas to walk are not covered. The overwhelming majority are, but the day we went it was a bit rainy, on and off, and we found ourselves stuck in the rain at one point because we emerged from the wrong end of the flea market. Going to the flea market is an experience! The Oldsmar flea market does not disappoint in that aspect. If you are in the area give this place a try. If you are a germaphobe I highly recommend you bring hand sanitizer with you, or your experience may be harrying :-) read more

Take this as a compliment, that people who runs shop in this Flea Market and those who visit this Flea Market are not from the planet of the earth. Folks gather at this freaking spacious market to celebrate the universe of the thin line, either trash or treasure, are somehow, unique. I have visited this market several times and I still need a compass, or in the modern world, an app to navigate this freaking spacious market. Honestly, I have not found the pattern. It is a labyrinth. Therefore, this review is not going to tell you how to find things you like. Instead I express my impression about this freaking spacious market -- non-linear thought process creates fine artists . I stopped at few art shops that doesn't sell conventional images; instead, they sell their own version of non-linear craftsmanship that just kept me scrutinizing in every single piece of them. In return, I got into intriguing conversation without boundaries which fascinates this freaking little Chinese brain. One of the owner gave me a 3D printed bracelet as a gift to remind me the cerebral conversation took place in his very unique shop. Forgive me not to give you more information about this freaking spacious market. If you are here looking for bargain, your will find junks; If you are here to engage, you will find treasures. This is my first time at a flea market and it was everything I expected it to be. It takes some time but there are some great treasures to be found here. We arrived around 10 am and by the time we left at noon, the crowds were picking up. Some stores didn't start setting up until 11:00. I guess prime time would be between 11:00 - 1:00 to see the flea market in full glory. It had too many fake purse stores. As an Asian, I cringed at the made-in-china "designer" knockoffs. Some stores are ridiculously priced for a flea market. I wish someone would make a map of stores or improve their website so you know what vendors are there. The produce section looked very fresh and reasonably priced. If anything, I would go there just to pick up some fresh vegetables. I saw a bakery but it didn't look amazing. I saw a lot of people there at the food court enjoying ice cream and burgers. It smelled like a fair or carnival with all the fried funnel cake. The air there is very stuffy so anyone with allergies should be forewarned. Some of the larger stores accept credit cards but their prices are found in any Wal-Mart Supercenter. The Oldsmar Flea Market is a hidden treasure of fun. It's almost like stepping into a fun house at a carnival that takes you back into your childhood memories. Walking around gazing at the strange but cool things you may have forgotten about years ago. The smell of funnel cake and other old time treats make the memories even more clear. In the middle of the flea market is a farmers market. Great place to pick up some cheap produce. While shopping for produce be sure to try the boiled Cajun style peanuts. I never was a fan but I am now. I couldn't keep my hands out of my partners bag. I bought a nice belt for $5.00, A huge gallon of Pace Picante (doesn't expire until mid-next year) for $5.00. A bag of apples for $1.50 and 3 bell peppers for $1.00. I guess it's kinda like a box of chocolates, as Forest Gump would say..."you never know what you're gonna get." read more

Best flea market in Tampa Bay! I highly recommend spending the majority of your Saturday exploring this place! Bring cash, comfortable shoes and an open mind. There is so much to see in the random stalls and ramshackle buildings. Over the years I have made a list of my favorite spots: the air conditioned wine store, Sam and Pats book stores, any one of the dollar areas, the DVD stall near the main walk way and the produce area. There is so much to see, including the people! Flea markets bring bargain hunters and interesting folk out of the wood work. You will not be disappointed! I'm not a fan of processed fair/ballpark type food and that's all you will find. I can recommend grabbing a cold beer or an ice cream cone as you explore. It seems that since the property was sold a few months ago that some of the vendors have left. There are many empty booths. I still found a few bargains and got a product that I regularly get at a beauty supply place, but the owners don't seem very happy. I love Christine's Exotic Plants, so I will continue to go there. There is some weird shit here. And weird people. Which is why this place is great. This is a fun day out if you want a bit of an adventure. I actually think this would make a great date spot, allowing for endless conversation and laughs. I came here looking for antique kitchenware and linens to use for food styling. I was pretty impressed with the selection of cheap, neat kitchen stuff I came across. I got out of here without spending more than $10 and I had quite a lot of stuff. There is an adorable elderly couple who have been here 20+ years who have some of the neatest vintage stuff. You could spend hours here. It's huge. I felt a little lost and wish there was some sort of directory so I could have gone straight to what I was looking for, but I suppose the whole point is to get stuck buying crap you don't need. I got a little lost at times and ended up in areas I don't think I was supposed to be in, and started daydreaming that a flea market carnie (is there a name for these folks?) was going to kidnap me. I haven't been to many flea markets and from what I understand, random people can just rent a stall and sell random things to people. Some stalls appear to be glorified garage sales and many had very old things and things that looked quite used, but I am sure the prices were decent. This flea market in particular is massive. Flea Markets to me, have always been something that was a special kind of old school Florida thing. Growing up in Florida, I always remember going to the flea market on a Saturday or Sunday being a great trip. The Oldsmar Flea Market used to be a great place to stop, but I've found in recent years that the quality has just fallen off. My biggest complaint about the flea market is the variety of stores. It used to be, going to this flea market, you would find all kinds of vendors, selling all kinds of neat little odds and ends. Lately though, I find it is more and more, people renting stalls to clear out their garages and other junk they have laying around. Less and less are you finding the neat little themed antique store or craftsmen selling their products on the weekend. I'll relate a recent experience to highlight my point. I went to this flea market and the hopes of purchasing a new knife. There used to be several knife shops, all of the selling things that you would normally have to scour the internet to find. Now though, there are only two, and both of them sell what amounts to the Home Shopping networks line of knives that they hawk every night at 2 in the morning for people who want to get into selling knives. The variety is gone and I'm left with something I could just as easily find myself. I'm also disappointed in the food products sold here. The food has dipped below fair quality food, and is generally not worth the price. There are no bakers or vendors who sell any kind of specialty foods really anymore either. The one saving grace is that the produce stands do have some great products and really great prices. Overall, the Oldsmar Flea Market has lost its magic for me. Its hot, crowded, and there is nothing I can't find at my local dollar general store. I'd say save your money and time and don't bother. read more
