The experience in Lyngby started out with realizing, that they use post mix for sodas and not cans. Post mix should be forbidden by law. It is awful, hence I decided to order my burger and fries instead of the menu, to which the woman behind the register replied: "...but you get the soda for free". Honestly this almost made it even worse, so I said: "No thank you". Unfortunately, I later realized, that this meant that I had paid 20 DKK extra (for not receiving the soda, that is). This cannot make sense! Oh well, luckily this did not affect my impression of the food. The burger was bland in taste, and medium cooked - or at least they say. Judge yourself from the photo, btw I do not have a problem with medium prepared meat, but this was barely warmer than body temperature. The fries were at the most average. And oh yeah the dipping, I chose bearnaise, had a hint of dragon, but that was it, and it was 15 DKK on top. A total of 129 for my food. For 109 DKK, I could have received a post mix as well. I will not come back. I will probably try the one in Copenhagen again at another time to see if it is merely the provincial location, that has ruined the otherwise very nice burger joint.

I generally like to try places a few times before I fully judge their menu. I immediately noticed that people already dining had these wooden boards with food on them, which was completely new to me. I ordered their steak with bearnaise sauce which comes with whatever daily greens/sides they have that day. Today it was mushrooms, red peppers & bacon. This was a dish I had previously ordered where before It was extremely boring, but after looking at other people's plates I was super intrigued to try it again. I'm glad I did! I don't know when this change happened, and I don't know if it's because they just got a new cook or what, but I'm glad they took the time to change it up! The meat was perfectly cooked and the sides were a nice combo to go with it. Perfect bearnaise sauce as well! For dessert my table and I ordered their cheeseboard which comes with different cheeses, bread & figs/walnuts in a sweet sauce of some kind. All I can say is, GIMME MOREEE! Seriously, so good! The figs/walnut on top of the cheese was such a good combo. Loved it! I haven't tried this place for lunch, and I've never tried their pizza's so I can't judge them based on that. After last night though I definitely want to try other items though to see if they are as good. Only thing that bothered me though was that the waitress we got wasn't very knowledgable on any of the items on the menu or the drinks on the cocktail menu. Whenever we asked her a question she had to run back and ask the kitchen or just said "I don't know". I walked to the mall across the street from the Experimentarium and as I walked inside, I was pulled into this chic looking coffee place with the aroma of freshly brewed espresso. The coffee bar is straight at the entrance. I ordered a cup of double shot Latte and Chicken and oats savory baked dish which I can't remember. The Ambience: They have seating both inside and outside. On a warm day, the waterfront would look quite amazing if you choose an outside seat. The ambience inside felt like something out of an architectural magazine. It opens up to the waterfront with a lot of natural light. Each table has an assortment of floral and shrub design. The silver leaf eucalyptus gave off a faint fragrance as I sat on the table. There are rows of table in the center, The tea-lamp light and the floral vase on them gave a feeling like it was a wedding table with the centerpiece and all. The food: The coffee was served in a beautiful cup. The snack plate too was beautiful looking. I was hungry and devoured the chicken and oat snack. It had a little less salt for my taste but it was otherwise delicious. I took a look at the brunch menu and it looks like something I'd have to come and try some other time. You get to choose between 5 or 7 options priced at 135 DKK ($20 USD) or 165 DKK ($24 USD) between bakery, eggs, fruit and greens, meat and fish, sweet dishes.
