Olelo Christian Academy has been an amazing school for my daughter. We enrolled our daughter when the pandemic hit and have never looked back. She absolutely loves attending and enjoys her teachers. She comes home and shares what she is learning, which shows me her teachers are making school interesting and fun. Olelo has helped to create a great foundation for learning and I love that she is learning the Bible in all aspects of her studies. The children are polite and kind and she has made some sweet friendships at Olelo. I look forward to her continued growth at the school and am grateful for the teaching staff and administration. Olelo is a true blessing to our family! read more

Olelo Christian Academy has been serving our community for many years. Lisa Poole and staff works really hard to provide excellent education and a place for our kids to spiritually grow. My daughter attended Olelo from Kindergarten to 5th grade. Olelo helped shape her foundation for good study habits and solid character in Christ. She in now in her second year of college and thriving. Now my boys are both attending and my family is truly blessed by being in Olelo. Highly recommended. read more

Olelo Christian Academy has been an answer to prayer for my family. Currently we have two children enrolled and they love it. It's reassuring to know you are sending your children everyday to a place where the staff are genuine Christ followers and the academics are amazing. My children have made great strides in their academics and I simply can't thank Olelo enough! I highly recommend this school to any prospective student and family. read more

Our two kids are in their 3rd year at Olelo and our experience has been amazing! Mrs. Poole and the teachers are so great with the kids and the Christ-centered focus of the education is exactly what we wanted. read more

Olelo Christian Academy is a private, PreK-12th Grade Christian school. OCA is located in the center of Lihue on the Garden Island of Kauai. We have a tradition of academic excellence through a Biblical worldview. Our students are tomorrow's future leaders. With an emphasis on character development and spiritual growth, Olelo Christian Academy is known for its outstanding student body and loving staff. Our primary purpose is to educate each student with a Biblical worldview to the highest possible level of academic achievement by providing an appropriate curriculum in a safe, nurturing environment. History

Established in 2002.

Founded by Mrs. Lynn Luttrell, Olelo Christian Academy (OCA) has a rich history of educating and inspiring children to "Pursue Excellence to the Glory of God." The school began in the Luttrell home as Kauai Educational Support Services, offering a homeschool atmosphere with a private school curriculum. Her dream of opening a school on Kauai was realized in September 2002 The original motto "God's Word, Great Words, My Word," encapsulated OCA's purpose by focusing on God's Word first and foremost, helping each student to grow through great words by giving them a love for learning and encouraging them in their own word as individuals of integrity and honor. From those humble beginnings Olelo remains true to its original purpose and mission. At our current facility on Rice Street, we continue to provide a hands-on, unique educational experience for each child, centered on God's Word and a Biblical worldview. We have a new logo, a new look, and the prospects for the future are bright!

This review is strictly for their facilities and campus, not education/curriculum. Home to the Red Raiders, Kauai High is a public school with tons of school pride. Students wear school shirts daily, with several different designs in an array of colors, personally I think it's super cool- and a way for faculty to keep track of students. Morning time can be confusing, as there's cones set up for student drop off. Park in a marked Visitor stall right up front. Check in at the front office and get a Visitor sticker so that staff know you've signed in. Visited their campus on a Wednesday and Friday, to do presentations to their HOSA classes. With bright red buildings and open spaces for students to hangout, I really enjoyed their campus.
